Wow!!! What a delicious little gem in downtown Pittsburgh! I can’t believe we just found it! Will be repeat customers for sure! Delicious baguette sandwiches, the most amazing pastries, and espresso!! A must try if you haven’t been here yet!

Almond croissant 🥐 is out of this world. Amazing and Thanks for great service, food and smiles too.. 10/10

Update: they have now espresso drinks as well and I can enjoy my pastries with them! Also it’s open on both Saturday and Sunday for a few hours.

I am really in love with this bakery. Great pastries and THE BEST baguette!. wish the downtown location was open during the weekends too.

Amazing pastries, however, my wife's apple desert was cold . Flavor was great just needed to be heated up more. Both of my pastries were devine!

We had breakfast while visiting our daughter in Pittsburg. If you want a piece of Paris this is the perfect place to eat. Their croissants are one of the best so buttery and melts in your mouth -try with their americano. They are super friendly and our dog was welcomed too. We will come here every time!

The macarons aux fruits are the most delicious thing I've ever tasted. The raspberries inside give it a great touch to other macarons I've had. This place by far has the best macarons I've have ever had. And this place has the biggest macarons I have ever seen. Also, their sandwiches are are served on baguettes. The baguettes are nice and crispy. The croissants are big, flaky, buttery and delicious.

Update: Feb 2023. Now open Saturday for lunch, overall hours also expanded!

Googled a gluten-free bakery near me while I was working downtown and this was the first one that popped up so I popped in. Ask the lady at the front counter what her gluten-free options were and she directed me to this raspberry lychee mousse macaroon that was made of almond flour. Let me tell you what, was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten, and I'm not even gluten free. It was for my girlfriend and her family that are. This is a must try and I just came back the following day and I'm going to try some more things, stay tuned...

Great place if you like European style coffee and pastries. Moreover, they bake authentic French almond croissants!!! And they are DELICIOUS! Be advised that the place is very popular so if you want to avoid the line come before 9 am

Great bakery! The coffee was more of a dark roast with a good balance of earthiness and nut. Their sandwiches were great and the two valet items we had stole the show. One was the dozen little bite size things in the country, those were a game changer!

4.5 stars overall. La Gourmandine is a local French bakery chain, and I recommend all of their locations. This particular location is in downtown Pittsburgh. During my visit, I saw two display cases of breads, sandwiches, pastries, etc. and also some beverages. My husband and I picked a few baked goods. An employee politely served us. She said that she had run out of forks and our preferred canned juice, so she instead gave us spoons and knives and a different flavor of juice. My husband and I enjoyed our apricot pastry, raspberry tart, and chocolate croissant. Some tables and chairs were available inside the restaurant.

We visited Pittsburgh to watch the Jays vs Pirates series and stopped into La Gourmandine for coffee and pastries. We ordered a 20oz latte, chocolate croissant, creme brulee pastry with fresh raspberries, and a gourmandine AND OMG everything was ABSOLUTELY delicious! I saw that they sold bread, sandwiches and other savory treats as well. I would highly recommend this quaint bakery...must visit!!!

Excellent patisserie! Delightful French pastries and French cafe-style sandwiches.

I ordered several pastries as well as a montagnard sandwich (prosciutto and cornichons on buttered French bread), and tarte à citron (lemon tart). I will not go into many details here; others have already done that. Suffice to say, I would certainly recommend this to anyone who is craving a little Paris in their day!

One (tiny) downfall- if you are looking for dietary items, such as dairy free, gluten free, egg free, or caffeine free, you will need to go elsewhere. I had hoped for a decaffeinated beverage, and the staff were very apologetic. They graciously suggested a place across the street for my hot beverage craving.

My favorite bakery in PGH! The pistachio eclairs, croissants and brioche au Bostok are all amazing, but the lemon tarts are absolutely the most delicious thing there. The staff is always nice and helpful, and the two locations I've been to are both super cozy and nice inside

French bakery with a wide selection of pastries. The staff is so friendly and the food is VERY good. Not expensive for the quality that you get. Indoor seating available. I would definitely recommend this place.

Bumped into this very traditional French bakery downtown today while taking a walk from the office. I have been to Paris 4 times and let me say the layout, atmosphere authenticity and taste is at the same level.
The choices are great, fresh tasting and great Customer Service. The place was full at 11.30am with folks enjoying coffee, pastries and baguette sandwiches. I like the Millvale bakery but as they have limited days now, this place is a goldmine, i will be back often 😃

I stopped in for a quick treat and was extremely surprised! What a pleasant treat when I bit into the Macaroon Aux Fruits. It was made with real whole raspberries and lychee cream. The macaroon was so chewy and tasted divine. This treat was perfectly executed like a fine crème brûlée or ambrosia salad. It hit the spot! I highly encourage you stop in if you’re looking for a delicious treat and a little French flair in Pittsburgh😁

Yummy French bakery. Friendly staffs and outstanding baked goods. Not too sweet just what we prefer. Overall another happy customers and will return.
