Just wanted to thank John and the crew at Pittsburgh Guitars for helping me get my new Rickenbacker 620! I waited and watched for MONTHS for after seeing one in the store last June missing my opportunity. Finally, one showed up!!! I live in Chicago so I needed to purchase over the phone. John was SUPER helpful and made it all easy :) even going so far as to time out the shipping in order to avoid having my guitar sit in UPS warehouse over a long cold weekend. The guitar arrived on time and was safely packed with EXTREME care. It was all I could do to wait 24 hours for the 620 to acclimatite to my home after it arrived, but I’m glad I did :) Straight outta the box…MAGIC!!! I bought my first Ric 330 on Carson Street, and I’m gonna buy next Ric on Carson Street :) Y’all ROCK!!! Darin Mullins

The fellas at this shop were knowledgeable and extremely welcoming to myself and my girlfriend. Visiting from NY, I wanted to make a childhood guitar dream come true and own a rickenbacker. They allowed me to try out each one they had in stock until I had made my choice. A beautiful, well stocked guitar shop for any musician or collector. 5 stars all around!

Long story short… may have took me 20 yrs … but finally made the move to pick up and learn the guitar. Gotta tell ya, Sam and Rich are great at what they do.
They’re both very knowledgeable in their craft, and it was awesome for them to explain, show, and share some of that knowledge with me to help motivate me push me to reach my goal in this wonderful world of music! Top notch and let’s Rock!

First time buying a guitar from Pittsburgh Guitars. Very quick on the order, I didn’t get an update the next day and I called the store, and the person that answered the phone (I am sorry I didn’t catch your name) was great as soon as I told him what guitar I ordered he asked if I had been emailing the Owner and I said yes he then knew all about my order, he didn’t have to put me on hold to find out anything and told me John the own came in and got my guitar and was delivering it to UPS and within an hour I had a tracking number from UPS and received my guitar the next days! I’ve been shopping here for over ten years. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They have special ordered several ukes for me and the experience has always been great. I’ve also been taking private lessons from their incredible instructors. I won’t go anywhere else. How lucky we are to have this gem of a shop here in Pittsburgh!

I have shipped and bought a lot of basses over my 66 years. I found a bass that Pittsburg guitars had and called to find out all the info I could over the phone. ALL of the guys, from John, all the way to the luthier worked with me answering all of my quesitons and just made me feel at ease about the purchase. When I received the bass, the packing of the bass was GREAT. It was packed so well I think they could have thrown it off the truck and it would have survived. They have what you don't see that much any more..CUSTOMER SERVICE. I know I appreciate that and if you buy a bass, or any of the many other products they have, you will see what I am talkng about. It's a rockin' good time at Pittsburgh Guitars! The place is a treasure trove of guitars and good vibes. What I loved most about the experience was the help my kids and I got from John. As a non-guitarist out to purchase a guitar as a gift, I needed a little more hand-holding than a typical customer might need (and did I mention I brought my kids? ;p). I learned 100% more from John in 10 minutes than I did from hours of internet research and "analysis paralysis." I didn't buy on my first stop in and felt absolutely no pressure about that whatsoever. After I slept on it and came back, I had more questions, which John again handled with grace and kindness. So now, I get to give a sweet Christmas gift, my kids are musically inspired, and I totally feel like I'm part of a cool Pittsburgh Guitar club! Bought a t-shirt and everything. Great experience and cannot recommend them highly enough. Big fan!

These guys are great. I’m a lefty and these guys actually had a few left handed guitars. Most places don’t. In fact, they had just got a danelectro in stock that I was the first to play. Great store. Great service

I have been going to Pittsburgh Guitars for many years to purchase guitars and related equipment. The shop is run by a really great group of people who take a genuine interest in helping you. If you have equipment that needs repairs I recommend Pittsburgh Guitars because they have really great techs that can handle the toughest repairs. Everyone at the store is really personable and as musicians they offer really great advice! I highly recommend Pittsburgh Guitars!!!

Pittsburgh Guitars is really excellent. We sold a vintage Epiphone guitar through PG for full market value. They got it tuned and aligned with a small service fee and their consignment commission was very reasonable. We hated to let the guitar go but it went to an upcoming guitarist and at a fair value for all parties. Thanks John and Scott!

11/10. very clean shop with pretty much anything and everything you need. guys in there were so incredibly nice, helpful, caring, and genuinely knew their stuff. i just moved to pittsburgh and don’t have the time or all of my tools to work on my axes, so i took my guitar to get a brass nut fitted and a basic setup. they estimated the work to be done in 5-6 days. i got a text about 25–26 hours later that said that my guitar was ready. they even texted me the price it cost. once i picked it up the next day, they told me everything that they did to my guitar and were a huge help to me. having played for about 10 years and playing hundreds of gigs in that time frame, i can confidently say that these guys are the real fckn deal. 11/10 best guitar shop i’ve been to. thanks boys!!

I recently purchased a Martin D-18 at Pgh Guitars. Purchasing this guitar was a great experience. John and the staff make adding to your collection enjoyable, as it should be!!! Staff is always helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating. If you need guitars and/or guitar stuff, Pittsburgh Guitars is the place to go. I recommend it to everyone.

Really awesome local guitar shop with a friendly and knowledgeable staff! Great selection of guitars, basses, and all the accessories. They even have just about every adapter you could dream of when you're in a bind.

This place was fantastic. The employees here gave us their full attention, answered all of my son's questions, and he left with a guitar that he was excited about.
