Suds & Subs

Food - Good: Pleasantly surprised by the great flavors in the cheesesteak hot sub. Completely took me by surprise for a quick stop, liquor place. The wings weren’t the best in the sauce but definitely flavorful without the sauce and I’d imagine their dry rub being even better.

Service - Great: The cashier was nice enough to indulge in my questions about the different subs and recommendations etc. She brought out the food for us, making it such a pleasant exchange. Wings took about 20 minutes but subs were faster.

Overall - Very Good: For the price and not a lot of other options in the area, this place really provides a service to flavorful eaters like myself. Hats off to the owner, having excellent food at a place designated more for grabbing a bottle than grabbing a seat to sit down and dine. Will definitely be back if I’m in the area. I recommend you give them a shot as well.

This place is a good example of don't judge a book by its cover. Looks like just another regular inner city convenience store, but the food is surprisingly good. Fwiw, I've only so far had the cheese steak and fries, but they were really restaurant quality. For the cheese steak they use a nice, high quality bread, and the cheese steak is grilled up with lots of good bell peppers and onions, topped with lettuce, tomato's, and mayo if you wish. All put together in one scrumptious sandwich. And the fries are those nice extra crispy kind. And the 6" cheese steak, fries, and fountain drink were only $8! Getting to be quite a bargain in today's world. Although I think this may have just been a Tuesday special. Regardless I'll definitely be back for more!

McKees Rocks staple ... I've worked in the area for over 20 years and used to go there often. With the bridge closed I didn't want to travel over to 65 to grab lunch and decided to give this place a shot again. I was not disappointed. I got a BBQ cheese steak and homemade chips. They had it ready to pick-up quick. Everything was hot and cooked correctly. Strongly recommend!

Ordered a few subs plus a steak salad today. It was my first visit. Miss Rhonda was so sweet and took great care of me, she even ran my order out to my car when it was ready. My son said his turkey sub was the best sandwich he ever had. I'm sad I just discovered this gem! But we will definitely be back! Thanks again Miss Rhonda!

Just left there with my mom. First time ordering from there. The young lady at the register was nice! The older lady helped us to decide on what we wanted! And one of the cooks talked to me about football. Felt like family. The ultimate steak hoagie was fire!!! I’m in Penn Hills, and will drive all the way over there for one of these! Beer, win, and malt selection is good. And coolers are always stocked. Food is great. Especially the cheesesteaks. Staff is great. They may seem short during a rush, however they get lines quick. However, those lines move quick. For later night grub in lower meckees rocks. This establishment is #1. And has little competition during the day.

I've been driving by this place for years with the intention of stopping in one day . Today was the day. I had a moment at lunch time.The staff is super friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. Definitely a new place on the menu for family take out night.

Good food fast, friendly service. Large Adult beverage selection: wine, craft beer, malt liqueur. I got a half a cheese steak for $6 that was 10" long and weight near a lb. Good deal in my book

Love the steak we get ours with cooked onions added to the ultimate. Omg best food love the sides the hoagies (subs). Price is great folks are nice to us when we come in from work. The potato with bacon and chicken and cheese awesome. Perfect zucchini planks. I don't drink but great selection of all sorts of beers.
I love they have all the crush pop flavors. Hard to find that. This is our favorite place to stop to get food when working in the rocks.

They have the best night time Supervisor Tiffany! She's very friendly and has great ideas to help build this business to keep up with the surrounding area that is also changing! They need a 32" screen TV for game days!!!

You should try the cheese steak hoagies, they are so good with a side of fries. My fiance and I come here everytime when we are in the McKees rocks area.

Great selection of food & beer at affordable prices. Congenial staff. Recently added a selection of wines to their repertoire. Never ever have had a bad experience! Easy​ on the pockets!

I ordered two different kinds of chicken as my lunch... Let's just say I went back for dinner... Their Honey Barbeque. . . AMAZING!!! Also their Seasoned chicken... Food made with LOTS of love.. Satisfied customer here 😊

If you remember the RUDY'S hoagie places from the 80s, this is it...yum...staff Is always friendly and helpful perisn't helpful. Nice beer selection. Try the wings.

Excellent counter service and the food was delicious for such a little joint it is packing power. I had the half of mushroom steak hoagie and fries combo everything was cooked perfect and just How I requested.6

Yes you can get beer and wine here, but there's Subs are amazing! I believe it is made with Mancini bread. Always fresh ingredients.

My kind of joint- Low key space with amazing food. Their fish sub was the BEST I've ever had & the shoestring french fries were bomb!
