The Rose Bar and Grille

Had an awesome time at The Rose Bar's Wednesday night trivia! Totally stumbled upon it and now it'll be our weekly go-to. The trivia categories kept things fun (totally different than I have played before!), and the music vibes were on point. The Rose Bar turned our Wednesdays into something to look forward to. If you're into trivia and good times, this spot's a winner. We'll definitely be back and we'll start gathering a team of friends from work– highly recommend checking it out for a midweek pick-me-up!

Just got back from eating here. Haven't been in years. Food was excellent. Service was spot on.

Had the Steak Hogie, could not believe the melt in your mouth actually real shaved steak!!! Would come back for that or even the hamburger that my son had. Next time I come I'm going to try the steak salad, the next table got that and it looked large and mighty tasty!!

Food was excellent and service was impeccable. We were a large group and had fantastic time.

I was there for a funeral wake luncheon. There were about 20-25 people in attendance. The service was on-point; we never waited for beverage refills, & the buffet food was very tasty and hot. Great job!

We have a private party there every year. I cannot say enough nice things about them. The staff were so kind and efficient. The food was buffet and was fabulous!

We heard the fish sandwich was amazing, and went to see for ourselves last night. What an understatement! We've eaten a lot of Lenten special fish dishes at really legendary fire halls, churches and restaurants in the area. I have to say they are at the very top. Awesome, fresh, sweet cod filets, perfectly breaded and fried, and the bread as good as it gets. A great dill pickle spear on the side. The hand-cut battered fries, homemade Mac-n-cheese and coleslaw were excellent. And the portions were huge! Well worth it to pay the $3 share fee- still so big we took leftovers home and had two great meals today. The service was outstanding- friendly and attentive, even though they were really crushed with customers. Great prices on beer and wine. We're going back next Friday with friends.

A family member arranged for our family to attend The Rose after my father's funeral. They normally do not open until 4, but opened at noon for our party of about 32 people. Our server was fantastic, and did her best to serve all of us in a timely manner. Overall, the food was great. Only exception was with the Italian hoagie. There was a lot of roll, lettuce, tomato and onion, but not a lot of meat. The taste was great, but needed more meat.
Our family was very appreciative of them opening early and allowing us this time with family after a very difficult time.

This was a great place! Great food options! The waitress was extremely helpful and very patient with us. It was the first time we were ever there, and we definitely plan to come back again. We tried the provolone stuffed zucchini, which was amazing! The service was fast, friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere too!

Great restaurant/hang out with great special events like comedy shows.

My husband and I attended a retirement party here. There were probably 50 people. The food was served buffet style: salad, rolls, chips and dip, sauteed vegetables, roasted potatoes, salmon, and chicken. Everything was wonderful. I was most surprised by how attentive the waitresses were. They were constantly offering to get us more to drink or to see if we needed anything. The room was nice too. I would definitely host a party here (at least from the perspective of a guest) and get dinner one night!

Great cod sandwich. Super service. Decent price. Nice place. Easy parking. Returned several times with family over the last few years. Just recently went back again after Easter on Tuesday taco night. Tacos hard and soft were excellent. We also shared a large pizza with pepperoni that was very good, hot and tasty. Best coleslaw around. Our waitress, Mia B, was the best. She was very friendly and helped make us feel appreciated and welcome. And she was very efficient. Plan to return real soon. One negative. Be careful if you park in the handicap spaces. The entrance to the place on that side of the building could be dangerous. The steps are few but located in a dark area with a loose handrail. Just be careful. Worth the effort.

Amazing venue Cory the owner was the absolute best host for my event. Cleanliness was better than a 5 star restaurant. Food was great and support staff was very professional & polite. I recommend The Rose Bar & Grill for any Pittsburgh residents. Cory's mom who is part owner is absolutely amazing too. I'll be visiting often.

Huge, Delicious hoagie. Worth the price and you also get a side with your order. It was hard to finish both.I got fries and they were great. Visit The Rose Bar and do yourself a favor.

I live in Ohio and needed a place to hold a private party at a convenient location for my family in Pittsburgh. I chose the Rose for the location, reasonable prices, and excellent customer service provided to me from management and staff during the planning stages. They are flexible and accommodating. The party was a great success!! The food was excellent!! The service was great! The room was clean and beautifully decorated! If you’re looking for a place to have your event...here it is! Definitely recommend
