From our first interaction with Don, the owner, to scheduling/getting questions answers with Amy at the office to interacting with our mason, Dan and Jeff who were onsite for from start to finish - every part of this job was easy, pleasant and impeccably done. Bravo and many thanks to Dan and Jeff who took such pride in their work and in bringing our old house new life. We had a good deal of pointing work done and couldn't be happier.

First job they did, major chimney rebuild, was terrific. Five stars. Great work, neat and tidy. But we are now waiting for a smaller job (leaky roof) to start and haven't heard from them, although we sent back contract months ago.

Returned contract and deposit for box gutter work (which is on their website and part of their core services) in May ‘23. Said they should start in July. Then it was August. Then it was September or October. They said it was because “all the college kids had gone back to school” and then said they’d go ahead and cash my 5-figure deposit check (which they originally told me is something they only do “a few days before they start”). No work commenced.

Then, in December, they said they’d be out to put up scaffolding the week of 12/18. I did not hold my breath luckily, because no one ever showed, no communication, nada. At the end of December, I googled them and saw another review with very similar timelines and experiences. I decided enough was enough after nine months of being given the runaround.

This was clearly not an isolated incident, and I no longer trusted them to show up, let alone do a good job. I called in early January and asked that they refund my deposit so I could move on to find a contractor that does the work they say they will.

I heard the original owner sold the business. Things seem to be going downhill. I strongly caution homeowners against wasting your time with this company. If you actually need work to *get done*, look elsewhere.

You would have to be out of your mind to hire Coffey Contracting. I signed and returned a work order on May 2, 2023 along with the 1/3 deposit check and was told that work would begin in two months. July came along, and we were then told October. Yesterday, 11/17, I called and was told that I could not be given a date and that I should go elsewhere. That was the only communication from this unprofessional horrible company I ever had. Their word means nothing. They cannot be trusted. A signed work order, which is a contract, means nothing to them. Go elsewhere. Horrible, horrible customer service and communication. Don't waste your time. Go elsewhere.

Good luck getting them to come to your house. I called three weeks ago with an active leak in my roof. They promised someone would call me early the following week. That week was dead and gone. No call. So i called that Friday and left a message only to get a return message stating they were too busy and the guy would definitely call the next week “and if that won’t work for you then you’ll have to call A different company”
Great. So i wait bc who doesslate roofs except this company and Nicollella roofing?!
Active leak still there....aaaand i wait.
Week three and STILL no call from this company as promised. Sigh.
That seals the deal for me that I’ll look elsewhere. New clients are not priority or even a forethought here.

In the process of purchasing a home that needs some work and asked for an estimate so that I could then move forward with scheduling a repair after closing. They refuse to provide an estimate until after the home has closed. How can they expect to earn business if they don't provide estimates?
