Half Moon Pond State Park Campground

Great park. Nice sites. Restrooms well maintained and clean hot showers.

Sites right on the pond nice when you can get one, but all sites look good.

Ice and firewood available on site, closest convenience store is about 20 minutes one way, so generally pack what you need. Water is good for swimming and frequently tested.

Wonderful state park offering a remote feel. The pond is beautiful and has boats to rent. Restrooms are modern and clean. The showers are hot and a $.75 shower approaches indulgent. There are trails and playgrounds. The staff is welcoming and efficient.

Great lakeside tent site. Small and well cared for campground. The hike to high pond was a great meander through the woods to a secluded little pond. Beautiful, Vermonty, and close to some cool slate history stuff. We'll be back!

Quiet, relaxing. Nice swim spot (small). Nice trails. Camping spots right on lake. Clean bathrooms with quarter showers. Friendly staff.

If you like boondock camping and are prepared for it, this is a very, very nice park. We pull a 24' Travel Trailer and although we cold get in and out, it was tight. That's not necessarily a bad thing, just something to be ready for.
Like most of the VT State parks, the Ranger staff was friendly and helpful.
The dumping station was a little bit weird, but everything worked well, so it's all good.
