Mediterra Bakehouse

These guys are incredibly nice. They donated us a cake which I posted that helped raise a lot of money for the 2023 Gala that Three Rivers business Alliance held at the soldiers and sailors monument in Oakland Pennsylvania this year. Stopped by on my way back to Virginia from a trip to Eerie and was thrilled to be able to see some real bread making in action. Mike showed me around a bit and then I got some bread. It is some of the most gorgeous and tasty bread I've ever eaten. My wife and I scarfed down the majority of two loaves when I got home last night and plan to eat the rest with wine, cheese, and delicious meats. I was glad to learn that Whole Foods also carries their bread locally!

Mediterra has amazing bread and pastries, definitely my favorite bakery in Pittsburgh. The bakehouse is great to go pick up their baked goods and breads, but definitely go to the cafe locations for a great breakfast or lunch!

Best bakery in Pittsburgh! Absolutely love all their breads. My personal favorite is Mt Athos.

Mediterra has a wide variety of breads and pastries. If I am going to eat bread, Mediterra is my first choice. It is delicious!

We used Mediterra for our wedding cake, and it was amazing! The cake looked absolutely beautiful, and it tasted even better! Highly recommend!

I have been ordering from Mediterra for years, the staff provides exceptional service, owners always take time to talk and could not be more accommodating. Everyone is pleasant, orders are always correct and quality of bake goods is unsurpassed. They are perfectionists they love what they do and it is evident in the product. Likewise the Mt. Lebanon café is first class. Highly recommend.

Love the family, love the whole grain, farm to table breads

We used Mediterra for a bridal shower yesterday at Carnegie Coffee Company. It was PERFECT! The bride is not a huge cake fan so we didn't do the traditional cake or cupcakes. We ordered cookies and brownies. We had 2 types of cookies and 2 types of brownies. They were delivered directly to the venue (as they work together anyway) and they were absolutely delicious! The presentation was beautiful and all of our guests raved about the entire event...AND the treats, of course. It was nice to have something different instead of cake. Angela was super easy to work with in planning for our baked goods and was very helpful. She make great suggestions! Thank you so much for making our event even sweeter.... If you are considering using Mediterra Bakehouse for anything, you will not be disappointed!!!!

Delicious breads and desserts. Don't miss the Mt. Athos, a wonderful dark artisan bread, Pittsburgh Sourdough, ham croissants and all those cookies and muffins! A little hard to find (tucked into an office park by Market District Robinson) but worth the excursion.

Up until now I had to visit the Farmers Market on Saturday’s to buy the wonderful breads from Mediterrra Bakehouse. That has all changed with the opening of the newest Bakery Restaurant in Sewickley. I ordered the Quiche of the Day and a cup of fresh brewed tea. The food and drink were great and the table ware and serving pieces beautiful. They have a nice selection of Gourmet Food items that you won’t find anywhere else. I look forward to returning for lunch.

My traditional favorite; whole large “Mt. Athos”, (they can cut it in half for you!) also love … their own “Red Fife”. Can’t say I’ve had anything of theirs I don’t like.. also love their location in Mt. Lebo. Haven’t been to the Sewickley loca., Yet! I attach an image but there was nothing left but crumbs;)

Great customer service ! Adrea helped me, even though some of my family has some particular needs (or be straight up picky) ! Adrea still helped me find goodies that everyone in my fam ended up enjoying !

The owners treat you like family. Their staff follows their lead to give exceptional service. Now their bread & baked goods, made with love & tastes heavenly. What more can I say ?

After years of looking for good tasting European type bread, I finally found Mediterra's Mt.Athos.bread.
It is one of the breads one may enjoy again and again, with just a spread of fresh butter..

Simply the best, most wholesome bread you'll find! In an age where factories churn out enriched flour crap, it's so refreshing to walk into a family bakery and get some excellent bread and pastries!

The best bakery in the Pittsburgh area! I love their Mount Athos Fire Bread, outstanding taste!

Hands down, the best muffins and pastries in this area.

We go often to buy bread & other goodies.
We often take friends from the area & visitors to enjoy also.
