Just passing through on a road trip going west and squeezed in some golf in Pittsburgh area while family was sleeping in. This is by far the most interesting and toughest course I’ve ever played. I did used my driver and my hybrids to get to the holes because I can hit straight. If you hook or slice you are screwed on many holes. The steep slopes, thick vegetation, or both will waste your ball. The key is to play for accuracy and not power and you will be fine! The views are amazing. Too bad my photos looking down at parts of the town and river did not come out. The carts paths are downright treacherous so you can’t go fast. But it was exciting. I booked the first tee time and took me about 3 hours with cart path only. Glad no one was in my way in front of me because I was flying and hitting well. Grand golfing experience!

Played 18 holes starting at 10am. The staffs were friendly, and the course, well I have to say, unlike other courses around the Pitt area, this was just like the ones I've often seen in Korea back where I'm from. Tough hills, narrow course. Straight shots are a must, and when aiming for accuracy rather than distance, it was quite fun to play. Unlike the older reviews, the field condition was okay- the green smooth, the grass well grown and cut. Very reasonable pricing for the game and the snacks. I loved the self hot-dog bar. Good memories. Wish to visit again in the future.

Challenging course that requires proper shot selection. Only used my driver on 6 holes. A truly unique experience that stands out from the rest of the courses in the Pittsburgh area.

If you’re a high handicap golfer, bring a dozen balls. I lost 4 on a day where I played pretty well.

Highly recommend getting lunch/dinner at the restaurant after your round. I had calamari and a New York strip. They were both great. The bartender was very nice as well.

Attended a private family event here. The Food was really good and the staff very attentive. The view from here is incredible. It overlooks the Monongahala river valley.

Went for a nice business lunch. BLT was delicious and view was spectacular. Going to be back soon with the family to try the gnocchi and spicy calamari.

Venture out to Grand View from Columbus Ohio for my bachelor party. Had an awesome time! The course is very unique, I’ve never played anything like it. And the views over the city are pretty sweet. Couldn’t imagine a more picturesque course to play in the fall in Pittsburgh!

Visiting Pittsburgh from Rochester, NY and my Uncle brought me to Grand View to play 9 holes. Beautiful setting and challenging course. We were a little late to our tea time due to construction in the nearby town but the course staff was courteous and made us feel welcomed. Fellow golfers on the course were also friendly and my Uncle and I had a great experience.

Course was in excellent shape especially the greens which were as good as any course short of a country club and probably on par with most of them as I don’t play them. As a 3 some we went out at 8 am on a Sunday and were done in less than 4 hours. Is it your normal every day course obviously no it’s goes around the top of a hillside and down the valleys thus a little tight in some places and a few blind holes and you need to keep drivers in bag on some holes. All said very enjoyable round will be back there are some different challenges but also some wide open holes

So much fun! We held a formal dinner and it was lovely. A room for dinner and another for the buffet, and another space for dancing. Beautiful scenery.

Course was challenging if you haven't played it a few times. Loved the par 3's especially 14. Unbelievable layout if you manage the course correctly; no long ball hitters necessary. Great grill room and food.

The course punches well above its weight for the highly reasonable green fee ($20 on a Sat morning with a cart). The hilly course has great views, fairly unusually designed holes but in a good way, the tee boxes and fairways were in good condition, and the greens were freshly cored. The par-3 14th must have the most elevation change in the world from tee to green, so much fun. Overall, challenging but a fair test. The only downside is the distant noise from the steel mill (or some factory) next to the river.

Awesome modernized golf carts with electronic scoring and GPS. Amazing views of a steel mill and Kennywood across the river.

The course is tough but if you play conservatively and opt for accuracy over distance it's not bad. Still wouldn't take any beginners here to play

Only thing I'm not a fan of is the service here. The employees never seem that happy to see you.

I am bad at golf but really enjoyed the views! Very cool course that is halfway between a golf course and a nature safari

Love Grandview, the course is challenging and the layout is great. If you lose your cool over a lost golf ball, stay home. But if you want to think about your next shoot and use all your clubs call now for a tee time. I'll be back.

IN LOVE with this course, Love/hate that is. Such a nice course, beautiful views alongside one of the last functioning steel mills in the city. Kennywood right across the river, as well as a view of downtown from the parking lot.

Definitely not a walking course, mountain goat golf seems to be a common description and accuracy is always at a premium. Irons off the tees wont hurt too much, as its not a very long course. Although two of three holes will force you to drive if you want a green in regulation and you will pay dearly if it heads left or right.

That being said, bring a few extra balls and a good attitude and you will love Grand View.

Great golf course, if you play it often. Note, there are always deals. Don't ever pay full price. They use golf now, and others. $25 with cart in the summer for the weekends is what we typically pay.
However, if this is your first time, you may like the view, but dealing with the wind, blind shots, and endless hills can be frustrating. If you are thinking about going for the first time. ASK to be paired with some of the members so they can help you with the endless blind shots.
