A fantastic free galley in downtown that surpassed my expectations. Whether you want to take unique photos or just enjoy art in general, I recommend checking this place out.

I liked how accessible this location is, and it is FREE! Rather than have a gallery of paintings, this is actually a gallery of various multimedia that changes every season, keeping things fresh.

I liked how there was a theme of Antarctica and arctic exploration, complete with audio exhibits, map art, and video.

It is FREE and is open right above Wood Street Station, which makes it even better.

Hiroaki Umeda's performance was breathtaking and highly thought provoking, the space was intimate. I'm looking forward to returning to see the follow on installation, very highly recommend.

Very cool contemporary art space. No parking, but in walking distance of several parking areas and a stone's throw from Market Square and the Cultural District. Free entry and excellent gallery programming.

Free!

These are a bit hard to find - you have to enter the right door. If you can go down an escalator to the subway, you're gonna have to go back outside and try again.

There are two floors housing exhibits. During my visit, they all used moving light. The last one, featuring a bunch of spinning lights getting faster and faster, really caught my attention and made me smile. It was a nice break from the world.

Owned by the Pittsburgh cultural trust, it's a free art gallery on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Wood Street trolly station! With very unique exhibits that change every few months! No excuse not to check it out if you're in town~

This place was really hard for us to find!! You have to get in the sketchy elevator on the left and then the signs will tell you which floors to go.

The exhibit on bugs & arthropods was REALLY interesting! They had a good variety of media and styles. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

I cannot describe it in words. You must see it to believe it. It is fantastic especially if you are into light shows & the best thing about it is it is completely free so there is no excuse for not checking it out. Make sure you visit both floors. It is just absolutely mindboggling. A must see.

Consistently some of the most exciting art in Pittsburgh. This place has a technological bent. The art is nontraditional. I have been no where else that consistently shoes me art that makes me laugh or scares me or messes with my perception at a very basic level. Awesome.

I didnt even know this place existed until the other day. Turns out it's been a thing for 20+ years! Had a very cool exhibit with lights/lasers/holograms.

one of the coolest galleries in pittsburgh. often focused on one artist at a time, youll find aural and visual interactive installations tucked away downtown with experimental art that will be sure to pull you right in. its free and fun so why wouldnt you stop by even if just for ten minutes.

I went during the robotlab exhibit. I was very impressed with the gallery, and I appreciated the gentlemen they had at each exhibit to explain a particular piece and answer any questions we had.

That crazy light display above the door reflects the activity of the adjacent intersection. If all activity in the intersection stops, the light will also stop. In the middle of the day, the lights are constantly on the move.
