Above & Beyond Computers

I wanted to update my review with Nate to continue praising the excellent service I've received. While playing a board game with my family, my husband placed a sugary drink on the table next to my laptop and when my 5yo child saw the cat on the back of the couch, she climbed up and over to get to him, knocking the drink all over it.

Unfortunately, the motherboard did not survive. We had to order parts and Nate strongarmed Lenovo to make good on the warranty because they wanted to not simply because I put stickers on it!

Because I work from home and the computer is a necessity for me, Nate gave me a loaner! It was good enough to get me through the week waiting for the parts to arrive. Like I said, amazing service!

This team is the best in Pittsburgh. They're very professional but also personal in that they care about you. I dropped my laptop in the summer of 2019 after becoming a new mom, and this damaged the batteries turning my laptop into a ticking time bomb.

Now I use my laptop for both full-time work and personal use, and they were so accommodating in my schedule and were able to apply temporary fixes so I could still work while waiting for parts to arrive.

Just this past summer, the screen started to pop off. In last year's repair, the screen had to be removed to access the batteries, and it turned out that the adhesive just wasn't working well enough. Nate reapplied adhesive to fix my screen FOR FREE, saying it was attributed to his repair work from over a year earlier. It was an unexpected surprise. I was already planning to be a lifelong loyal supporter of this local business but this kind act really cemented my choice for why I wanted to be.

I want to take a moment to thank Nate for all this help and being the sweetest guy that he is. I ran into a laptop issue and needed the data urgently so Nate acknowledged it and made an immediate arrangement for me. I think he is technically very sound and goes his way out to help you. I am really happy about my association with above and Beyond Computers, the name lives up to the expectations.

Nate and the Above and Beyond Team are supper helpful and friendly. They helped me build my first gaming, and streaming PC and walked me through every step. I had a million questions and they answered them all. I would recommend them to all my friends and family.

Nate was great to work with. He was helpful and knowledgeable, walked me through what he was going to do and he gave me options for long and short term care of our computer, sprinkled here and there with the reality of owning an older machine. We'll definitely be back and work with him again when we're ready to upgrade. He also was able to help us on the spot which was a great help. It was a relaxing experience.

Above & Beyond is more than just the name of this business, it is what you can expect to receive! Nate provided professional services that brought my non functioning computer back to the land of the living. He took the time to answer all my questions, and provided guidance on how
to avoid future issues with my laptop. My computer was fixed in one afternoon! The price was very, very reasonable. I will definitely use Above & Beyond the next time I have issues, and I highly recommend them!

I have been a customer for 5 years. Above & Beyond has repaired my computer several times for various problems quickly & at a reasonable price. When I needed to upgrade to Windows 10, I bought my laptop from them - again at a good price. When I have had problems with my new system, A & B has taken care of it the same day. They are great! Their new location in Lebanon Shops is convenient.

Nate has been professional and super friendly. Even just spending a few minutes talking to him, his experience really shines through.

I brought in a Dell xps, which I have since learned tend to ave a 5 year life cycle, and Nate was upfront telling that they tend to develope quirks that often can't be repaired. The symptoms I brought it in for were unable to be reproduced, but nate cleaned it and gave me his best guess after several days trying to diagnosis it and sent me off free of charge.

The next time I need repairs or end up in the market for a new computer, Above and Beyond Computers will be my first choice.

Nate is fantastic and the name Above and Beyond is absolutely not over selling the service provided. The owner is incredibly responsive and takes the time to explain the issues. He me a small lesson on computer hardware. My issue was entirely fixed quickly. For any future issues I will absolutely be back.

He called back sooner than promised and gave us a detailed professional analysis recommending that the work was not worth doing. This was all done at no charge!!. We will definitely continue to use his services and get our next computers for our business through Above and Beyond Computers.

The great customer reviews led me to sign up with Nate and his firm. I own a small business and unfortunately without any trustworthy advice purchased a dell laptop that was inadequate to handle my businesses’ file and app volume. Nate has not only provided the servicing needed but more importantly the education to understand why the existing hardware and software is inappropriate for my needs. Nate invested many hours solving an issue that was caused by onedrive. His persistence in solving it and helpful suggestions have been invaluable. I plan to work with Nate to set up a new more robust and secure system for my needs.

Nate is a computer genius. My 6 month old laptop was stuck in an update loop. I talked to Nate for half an hour and he explained to us what we needed to do. I felt bad that I couldn't pay him for all the information. 1 day later and an investment of 10 bucks and my laptop was running fine again. If you are buying a computer or need one repaired go here first.

I can't say enough about the quality service they have shown us. We are not computer smart but love to try. The encouragement from Nate had brought us into the PC age. I've been going to Nate and staff for 4 years and have found them to be very easy to work with. Their service is excellent and they are very knowledgeable of the latest trends. I have been dealing with Nate for a couple of years now. He is always eager to help with any issues I have had with my 3 laptops and 1 desk top computer. I also purchased my printer from them and it was installed and set up in less than 45 minutes.

Knowledgeable and honest. I have a 15-year-old Fujitsu laptop that was acting up. Nate took it and ran some diagnostics on it and told me nothing was wrong, no charge. I truly appreciated his honesty because he could have easily told me it was shot and sold me repair services or a new computer! I'd highly recommend him!

I was looking for a reliable laptop in April of 2019, when I was referred to Above & Beyond Computers (Tru Computers back then). Upon visiting their shop I asked them if they could repair my old laptop. they were able to diagnose the problem quickly and advised that I would be wasting my money to attempt a repair. After further discussion they offered that a "lenovo" laptop would be an excellent replacement. I was impressed by their professionalism and I purchased what they recommended. A year and a half later I am still extremely pleased with my purchase. I have recommended Above & Beyond Computers a number of times since then. If I need to purchase another laptop, Above & Beyond will be my sole source!

The owner spent quite a bit time to answer my questions and explain different computer equipment to me even though the parts I needed to get my laptop repaired was not available because my laptop was too new. He was really patient with me. I feel like I can trust this store to have my computers repaired here in the future. I will likely come here for service next time. I had two PCs repaired at the store on Library Rd before they moved to this new address. They fixed my two PCs, replaced my failed hard drive in one of them. I am happy with the work they did. I recommend this shop.

Above and Beyond is outstanding and exceptional. Owner and staff friendly, helpful and do go above and beyond for me. Quality products and fantastic deals.
