Shell’s Sweets and Treats

This place was definitely worth the drive! There's an abundance of parking. The store had a cute & warm welcoming decor. You immediately smell the delicious aroma as you enter into the bakery! There were lots of sweet treats to look at while I waited for my turn to order. Staff was very friendly and appreciate the business. Prices were clearly posted and very reasonable for the freshness and quality of the treats. The best part was how tasty the donuts were! I will definitely be a returning customer!

Awesome local business. AMAZING donuts. The dough is out of this world! They also serve local La Prima coffee so that is a win! Spread the word about this local gem I live ten minutes away and didn't know they were here!

So good. Finally made it over from the east side today. 25 minute drive. I got there rather later in the day but they still had a decent variety of cupcakes left. And we lucked out and grabbed the last 2 pieces of strawberry pretzel jello. 🍓 🥨.. the cupcakes and the jello were bangin. It looked like they were making fresh cookies in the back possibly for tomorrow 🤤🍪 the girl who waited on us was sweet. Very cute inside. Me and my friend just kept telling each other how cute it was inside there. They have a wide variety of offerings. Will definitely be back to try a funnel cake and hopefully snag some cookies and donuts. Great job to this family business. Wish I was closer.

The cupcakes featured are: cinnamon roll, funfetti, Cookie Monster, Oreo, strawberry banana pudding and chocolate fudge. 🧁

Shell was absolutely wonderful. We walked in about 9:30am on a Saturday. As she is sure to sell out quickly. I purchased the normal delights from Shell a variety of everything. 3 specialty cupcakes 🧁, 3 specialty donuts 🍩 as well as 2. Strawberry 🍓 cheesecake milkshakes and linguini. Yes, I said linguini! Shell makes it perfect. Not to heavy, not to lite. Oh, how I have fallen in love with this local delicious bakery. But offering all the variety she does! I’m urging Shell to put more hot items on the menu so I can enjoy. Lol that’s a personal request lol. But for now I will continue to visit for the desserts and paninis. But the milkshakes are sure to leave you a happy 😃 person so next time you’re feeling down try Shell’s sweets & treats and let me know what your favorite is I’m sure you will have one 😂. I’ve been following Shell’s for a bit now on Instagram, and today I finally made the 15 minute drive to pick up treats- I was set on donuts! Unfortunately for me, no donuts today ☹ Or at least, not around 10:30AM on a Thursday. I may have missed them and/or they may only be made on certain days. Regardless! I chose to try six cupcakes instead. I’ve only tried one so far, strawberry, because I’m using every fiber of my being trying not to eat the rest before my family gets home 😊 I look forward to returning for donuts someday 😍

I got the Crown Apple popcorn, strawberry scooter crunch cupcakes, and the red velvet cupcakes for our small Halloween party and scary movie night. The popcorn was so rich and buttery and you could taste the Crown Apple but it wasn’t an overwhelming taste. The cake part of the cupcakes were pretty good, but what blew me away was the icing.

These donuts were amazing! I bought 2 dozen for work and not a crumb left and everyone was raving about them and asking where I bought them. I stopped at opening and the donuts were fresh and hot-probably the best tasting donuts I've had in a long time. The variety was great. I've read some of the reviews and I'm kind of shocked that some were complaining about the price-a dozen donuts here was $19.99 and a dozen variety at a place like Dunkin is $17.99-no contest on the taste and service. I'd much rather support a local business than a chain and for a few dollars more, sooo sooo worth it. I've had the cupcakes here as well and just as amazing. Will be back for sure. So glad this bakery is in our hometown.

Got a custom cake made here for my moms 50th birthday. The cake was so good. I had zero complaints. Came out exactly the way i want it.

Absolutely amazing donuts. There are not many places left that make authentic homemade donuts and these are absolutely fantastic. We tried the traditional frosted donuts, an apple fritter, and a cinnamon stick and all were warm, fresh, and delicious. We look forward to going back regularly!

A coworker brought Shell's donuts in for the company recently. They were just as delicious as they look! Loved the use of fresh fruit for toppings.

Thank you Michele, the cupcakes you made for the Ohio Valley Hospital ER nurses were delicious. The flavors were unique and fresh. We will definitely be ordering from Shell's Sweets and Treats again!

My niece ordered a cinnamon pinata cake for her baby shower. It was outstanding! So beautifully done!

The strawberry pretzel salad is the best around and the best I’ve ever had. Well worth the drive. The people who waited on me were also very friendly! I’ll definitely be back.

Stumpled across this place through my wife, to My knowledge it was a great find. Words can not explain how good it was considering I'm a sweet fiend. Will be back.

This was our first time visiting, we will be back!! Beautiful family run, sweet treats business. Shell and her son's are so sweet and friendly! Their work is pleasing to the eyes and the taste buds!! Everything is delicious!! We can't wait to come back! Thank you!!

Been in McKees Rocks for almost 3 months and just started working at the mcdonalds down the way and today was my first time trying Shells Sweets and treats. I had the cookie butter latte, a blue berry muffin, and the red velvet cheesecake muffin. I was in HEAVEN! The latte was perfect, the blueberry muffin delicious, and the red velvet cheesecake muffin was rich. Soooo yummy. I would like to add that I think the inside is adorable! The employees were very friendly and super helpful. I miss the bakery from my home town in Nebraska and this is a great replacement. It may have taken a few to get my cookie butter latte but seriously after the first sip sooo worth it. It was 15.00 dollars for everything but you can taste the love that went into those muffins. I let one of my coworkers try each muffin and she thought they were amazing. You could tell they used real blueberry and the chunks of chocolate in the red velvet cheesecake muffin was a sweet surprise. You want quality you pay for it. You gained a customer today and I can't wait to try the funnel cake. Only thing I wish they had was pecan rolls but if the donuts and everything else is as good as the muffins I had I can live without lol.

Always delicious. Staff is so kind and friendly. Thier coffee is made perfectly.. The scones, cannoli and cupcakes OH MY are heavenly. This is definitely one of my favorite local places to stop. Keep it up Michelle we love you 💕
