I’d have to say this is the best mom and pops shop around ! Their cakes and pastries are amazing ! They did an outstanding job on my birthday cake ! I was very pleased . Not to mention all of the other cakes that I’ve requested for other peoples birthdays . They’re literally ALWAYS spot on and amazingly beautiful when they’re done ! They’re very friendly there and pleasant to talk to early in the a.m .I highly suggest getting a cake and pastries from here ! HUGE THUMBS UP !!!!!

Best donuts in Pittsburgh! The cream and jelly filled are excellent, and they don’t skimp on the filling. The donuts melt in your mouth. We were so happy to discover this place. The people that work there are also so lovely. If you are craving donuts, this is the place to go!

Yes, you must! So many good things to try and old fashioned crumb cake. Donuts are amazing and you don’t have to search for the filling. They don’t charge an arm and a leg either.

Very tasty and fresh! We tried the raisin fritter and a poppy seed danish. They were excellent!

I stopped by this place today. It was just before noon when I visited so the good donuts that I heard they have were all gone. They did still have some danishes left. I had a cherry danish and it was delicious!! I also had a chocolate cake thing that had cream on top with chocolate fondant covering it all. So delicious!! The shop isn't far from Riverview Park so you can enjoy eating the pastries in a wooded setting before a nice hike.

Cute place with lots of great bakery items. The Apple fritter was fantastic. I got my fiancé a jelly filled powered sugar donut. He said it was lovely. I also got a long chocolate sprinkle donut. I was surprised there wasn’t filling in there but I think I just got the wrong one. My fiancé said there wasn’t anything special about the everything bagel but this also was when he was woofing it down.

Incredible baked goods. The chocolate iced raised donuts are to die for. On top of that, the staff is so friendly. I definitely recommend this bakery!

The sheet cake I purchased for a birthday party was excellent. Both the chocolate and yellow layers were moist and the flavors were perfect. The icing was so good; smooth and not too sweet. I would recommend letting the bakery know if you do or do not want decorative sugar flakes on top. Guests were anxious to know where the cake was bought. As an aside, the owner and the employees are very friendly. I was impressed that they contacted me for feedback when I bought another cake in May. Loved it. The sugar donut (my favorite) was exactly like Schorr's used to be. I tried 6 different donuts and liked them all. Blueberry cake donut is an all time favorite. The prices are reasonable and the staff is really friendly and nice. Can't wait to try more things!

I have been in for donuts twice and have not been disappointed. The Boston Creams were to die for, the apple fritters are great and the creme filled long donuts were too delicious for words. We will be back! Looking forward to the reopening of the West View Store.

Went to Steuben St donuts on a day they advertised they were open, 20 minutes after they SHOULD have opened, only to be disappointed that they were closed.... Again!
So I decided to cross the bridge and check out Father and Son. Glad I decided to venture out.
The cinnamon sugar donut practically melted in my mouth. Glazed was definitely worth the three bridge crossing for sure, and honestly, I'm surprised they aren't bankrupted from the amount of chocolate they put on the chocolate glazed. Get some.... Before 11a👌

I grew up just a few houses down the street from Schorr's and when they closed I was devastated. I heard this new bakery was taking over their recipes and so I gave them a try when I ordered 2 dozen donuts for an Easter gathering. They did not disappoint. Tasted just like Schorr's. The BEST donuts in town- I'm so thankful that they are open and continuing the Schorr family traditions.

Thank you Father & Son Family Bakery for making the most delicious almond torte cake for my friend’s 50th birthday! It was the most delicious and beautiful cake! The custard filling was amazing!

Got a box of apple fritters, fruit / cream cheese danish, and custard filled donuts. They were all delicious. Prices also very reasonable. Will definitely be back.

Happy they opened up to replace Shorrs bakery. Doughnuts and Danish were delicious and didn't last long in our house. Can't wait for Westview Coffee House to open. Nice to see a new family business.
