First time in Pittsburgh and I’m happy I stopped by this restaurant. Food was perfectly seasoned and fresh. Great service!

You could easily walk by this place and disregard it—a restaurant in the basement of an apartment building? But you'd be wrong. Literally a mom and pop operation, it should be your go-to spot for soul food in the city. Chicken is tender, moist and perfection. Collards are juicy, flavorful, and just the right amount of savory kick. Mac-n-cheese is as close to heaven in earth as I can imagine. (And I'm a Christian pastor.) The owners are delightful and service-forward AND you'll get a blessing with your food. Bring cash and tip well!

Home cooked food when you are away from home! It is worth your time ordering from this place the food is crazy delicious!!

Amazing wings from this place. We got a 6 piece with just the wing dust to try it out and were pleasantly surprised. Perfectly fried,
and hot since the food is made to order. Surprisingly not dry either, the fry job is on point. The wings have a ton of flavor, and that wing dust seasoning is magic. Will have to try the other menu items too but as wings are in the name I think they did them justice. The owner is very sweet, talking to him revealed this is a true mom and pop operation. There is seating available if you want to dine in.

Did a Google search for catfish near me. This place popped up. And so did a few others but this was closer to me. At first I was confused about where they were until I seen a fold up sign outside of what appeared to be a apartment building? I did a order via phone and picked it up. Nice gentleman on the phone. Went in a both him and his wife were so much fun to talk to. The gentleman explained how they cooked the catfish. Got home and took one bite. Best catfish I have had and way better than I can cook! Looking forward to to going back and seeing them again!

Best soul food I've had in the city, Whiting, Chicken, Collard Greens, Mac N Cheese, all amazing. Go show this place some love!

I ordered 5 wings and 2 sides and 2 wing dust. The chicken was golden brown, crispy, flavorful and still juicy. I will be ordering again and again.

More quarantine eats with some uplifting scripture 👍🏾. The photos don’t do the food justice. I was eating before I took the photos so the presentation is lacking. I got a golden wing sauce with the ribs and that sauce was delicious. I liked everything I ordered (through delivery of course): mac&cheese, ribs and fries, and that sauce which I dipped the fries in and stuck a rib in...tasty.

Food was excellent, staff was very accommodating. Can’t wait to return !

Came in from Ohio and this food is the best HANDS DOWN! We couldn’t have been happier. The owners are the sweetest people and the catfish is top notch! Everything on the menu was delicious. We will be back the next time we come to PA!

The customer service was excellent. The wings and pork chops are DELICIOUS!! Just what you want out of soul food. The potato salad was sweet and delicious. If I HAD to give any negative criticism, it would be that the mac n cheese needed more cheese. The green beans are fire! The yams and greens are very tasty. I'm looking forward to trying the fish sandwich, if I can stop ordering the pork chops. Lol. GREAT! GREAT! GREAT!

Best wings we’ve had in a long time…. These quiet atmospheric spots are so much better than most main stream restaurants around. Just great food ..period.

It was a quick decision that I made with my children and I'm glad this was our go-to place very nice atmosphere reminds me of being home with my mother and father, the food was delicious, the price was reasonable for what we purchased, it was around dinner time so I ordered four dinner entree's that included ribs, chicken, thighs legs, yams macaroni, fries, potato salad and fried cabbage when I tell you it was delicious it truly was worth 70 dollars I spent. I am here to support black businesses, and I will be returning to Wings & A Prayer LLC, and I also loved the prayer note that I had to take home with me, God's always speaking to me forever grateful. Called ahead to order. Had no idea of what the food would be like , but went on recommendation of a shuttle driver at the hotel I was staying at.

First walking in, I could smell the chicken from the outside. Walking in the door, it was a little dark and gloomy. I could not smell any chicken from the inside. No one came out to greet, but no problem I had my phone handy. Called the same number I ordered from, and they said it would be ready shortly.

10 minutes later, food was done.

Ordered 3 , three piece fried chicken dinners with a whole slab or ribs and 3 orders of cornbread.

Kept wanting to peek at it on way back to hotel, but held off.

First glance at food, I said oh this is going to be good.
And y’all did not disappoint. The chicken was fried and seasoned perfectly, the greens had that bite of vinegar. The ribs were melt in your mouth tender, with a perfect sauce. The mac & cheese wasn’t terrible but could have been better and the cornbread was good but just a little dry.

Absolutely fantastic, if you're in Pittsburgh this is a must. Had the turkey rib dinner, they were smoked, tender, and fell off the bone. I don't typically like potato salad but this here was perfection

The food was fantastic, the ribs basically fell off the bone.. sauce was delicious, mac n cheese was obviously home made and the fried cabbage was more than exceptional, all at a fair price.. 5 stars, I will be back and I'm bringing friends!

First time getting them deff coming back again everything was 🔥🔥🔥🔥 greens beans potatoes tomatoes you name it!!!

Had the pleasure of finally getting to order from Wings and a Prayer, and since my wife and I couldn’t decide what we wanted, we tried everything! We got the following:

Fried chicken mix, fried wings with Buffalo sauce, ribs, Mac and cheese, fries, baked beans, yams, fried cabbage, potato salad, corn bread, pound cake, sweet potato pie.

It was all so good, but I’ll just touch on my favorites. The chicken was super crispy and juicy but not greasy whatsoever. The fries were massive and had fantastic seasoning. The beans were unreal, had a wonderful smoky, maple flavor to them. The yams were deliciously sweet as well. The pound cake was very thick, some of the best I’ve ever had.

Again, everything we had was fresh and delicious. To top it off, Melanie was very kind and happy to answer any questions we had about the menu.

Will definitely be back again soon!

Great tangy sauce on the wings. One of my favorite local places to get some grub from. I've had the ribs before and those are phenomenal also. Very kind staff. Small indoor waiting area. They take walk-in orders but it's best to call in ahead of time.
