Nestled in the heart of South Squirrel Hill, Five Points Artisan Bakeshop is a true hidden gem that delights with its delectable pastries and savory sandwiches.

Upon entering the cozy bakery, the aroma of freshly baked bread and sweet treats fills the air, instantly captivating the senses. The almond croissant is a must-try, with its flaky, buttery layers and a generous filling of sweet almond cream. The blueberry danish is equally impressive, boasting a vibrant burst of fruit flavor and a perfectly crisp crust.

Great little bakery in Pittsburgh. We went here based on other reviews and they did not disappoint. The blueberry almond danish and hazelnut croissant didn’t last long enough for photos, but they were absolutely delicious. We also bought their olive bread and it was also very good. The photo of the counter was taken on a drizzly Sunday morning approximately two hours after they opened. I highly recommend this bakery.

We enjoyed the espresso, chocolate chip cookie 🍪 and the apple pie. Lots of seats were available and staff were welcoming and friendly.

I rarely find a bakery that features European style bread and pastry in town, so when I see this place, I am excited to try, and it does not disappoint!
Everything are just so delicious. Almond croissant, chocolate croissant, danish.
The best is no doubt the raisin walnut bread; filled of raisin and walnut, the inside is still fluffy and chewy, while the crust remains crispy.
There is always a line outside the bakery but it moves pretty fast.

Cute bakery with assorted muffins, cookies, small pies and more. Before 2pm they offer coffee and espresso. They have a little seating area in the front and back where you can do work 😊

The bread is heavenly! I hardly made it out the door before ripping the end off my baguette to munch on the walk home. The croissants are delightful and the staff is always so kind! Also the prices are VERY reasonable. I do wish they had more online presence so i knew of specials for holidays and such but maybe that's part of the charm.

Came here because a friend recommended the pies to me. I got the apple pie, blueberry pie, croissant and raisin walnut bread. The pies were great and I recommend heating them up before eating it. The croissant was baked really well and was perfectly buttery and flaky.

Everything here is fresh and everything from bread, to rolls to bakery items are amazing. It can get very busy for a reason and a few times the staff has made mistakes with my order when I returned home to find items missing. For efficiency they'll ask you for everything you want at once but sometimes they forget what they are getting and it's hard to watch when they ask you to go to register to pay as items are gathered. I had them leave items out in big orders which is hard to check when you're leaving out the door with full bags and I lose out. Recommend just tell them what you want one time at a time so you can watch them put items in the bags.

I'm surprised that I only discovered this bakery recently. I'm extremely happy to have it near me. The bakery serves the best croissants in the city, and now I get my breakfast from there every day. The exceptional quality, reasonable prices, and impeccable service further enhance the overall experience.

I live near this bakery, and it’s great to have so many options for pastries nearby with reasonable prices. The apple danish, blueberry pies, and the croissants are my favorite items, and I’ve heard their sourdough and baguettes are great too. I’m not the biggest fan of almond flour and gingerbread, so I didn’t like the oatmeal cookie and the apple pie. Their cinnamon roll was also a little weird, it felt like a croissant.

One thing I haven’t heard many mention was the coffee. The beans are roasted by espresso al mano which has a location in the strip. The lattes are flavorful, and the kitchen is next to the bakery itself so the pastries are always fresh. If stored in the open, the sourdough and baguette go stale pretty quickly so it’s better to finish them quick!

My wife had a cookie from here that someone brought to a grief meeting and wanted to go ever since.
Chocolate Chip cookie is great.

It took a minute to realize but the location use to be a corner store.
My friends and I would catch the bus after school (Linden) right in front. Sometimes we would go buy inside and end up spending our bus money and have to walk home.

They weren’t kidding when they said artisanal bread! This bakery is right out of Europe! You can smell the quality from a block away. There is a very long line but it is absolutely worth the wait! Their plain and olive sourdoughs are top notch. Crusty, crunchy, and soft on the inside. Clearly freshly baked! I especially appreciate the reasonable prices! I will be coming back weekly!

This is now in my top 3 favorite bakeries in Pittsburgh (and I’ve tried A LOT of them!) service was great, they are kind and patient even with a line out the door. The hazelnut croissant was soooo good-a must-try for any Nutella fan. And the cheese pizza focaccia-WOW. No words. The best bread ever, only wish u had made it home without eating it so I could have heated it up. Reasonable prices too compared to a lot of bakeries. Will be back!

so the sour dough is worth the trip alone. Everything is good dont get me wrong but dont leave without the sourdough. They do a great job with orders especially around the holidays so i suggest you take advantage of this system.

The kindest people, the most delicious baked goods, fantastic coffee. So much good variety. The mocha and latte are fab and made by a very sweet barista. The baked goods rule, especially the ham & cheese croissant, chocolate pecan pie, calzone, and the tomato & basil or mushroom tart. The lemon poppyseed Danish is also🤌

You can't go wrong, I'm literally trying at least one new thing every time I go in.

No bread this week. However, all their other items were fantastic. Rye cookie was amazing. Blueberry Pie outstanding. Can't go wrong.

Their pecan pie, cookies, and flourless chocolate cake were equally delicious!

Went here off the rec of others and wow I was NOT disappointed! I grabbed some savory breakfast items, cookies, tarts and some bread and 2 coffees to go
Prices were reasonable, they have tap pay and the shop is very clean, well organized and even through my mask I could smell the delicious scents wafting through
It's not every day that a bakery can do laminated pastries, breads and cookies/cake all very well-- a showsto place for sure!

I haven't had a chance to eat everything but the gingerbread/molasses items were DELICIOUS! Will definitely be coming back 🙌

These guys knock it out of the park in every way possible. Croissants are perfect, pastry's are incredible & the bread is some of the best you'll get in PGH.
