Penn Forest Natural Burial Park

This is truly a special place. It's a place you can visit even if you don't have a loved one buried there. I've come many times with my kid to walk the trails and sit and take in the beautiful scenery. They have an amazing meadow full of flowers for pollinators. It just feels so alive there and makes traditional cemeteries seem bland in comparison. What I really appreciate is the flower cutting garden. A place to make a bouquet to place on your loved one's resting place. It just shows how they go above and beyond to make this special for families. It's also fun to look at the goats and sheep. Everyone should visit to walk the trails sometime and get a new perspective on life and death.

We laid my brother to rest here. It was truly beautiful. This place has a very calming effect on you and you truly know your loved one are at rest.

Is it just me, or does this make others as happy. Especially In a quickchange world. peace in the middle of chaos. Makes ya wanna dust off your hands, move right on knowing "job well done". I only hope we won't already be too toxic. If you have to be certain not to dump Rx into any water system....Curiouser and curiouser

Penn Forest was wonderful with my mom's burial. Maria was always available for questions and made sure that every detail was handled with care.

My husband and I went here recently and we have to say that its a hidden gem here in Pittsburgh. What a beautiful and peaceful place for a burial. The trees, nature, animal s and calming energy.

I've just learned of this cemetery. What a wonderful, beautiful, natural choice for people to have! I applaud you!

This is amazing! I didn't know this was legal--no embalming, no burial vaults, biodegradable caskets of shrouds. Right in Penn Hills. Wow!

And this is how you get haunted forests! Beautiful place though.
