Tasty diner, the Reuben is very tasty. Perogies were good but aren't served with onions or sauerkraut so I found them a little plain. However, everyone I've gone with has been happy with that they got, and there's a great selection of takeout frozen foods (I recommend the cabbage roll).

The only thing is very few vegetarian options and quite possibly no vegan options, but I could be overlooking something.

I had a lovely first dinning experience at Brother Tom's Bakery in Sharpsburg. The establishment smell so good from the fresh baked goods. My waitress was absolutely wonderful. She was very kind. She was extremely attentive. She made sure that we didn't have to ask for anything. She was already on top of it for us! Prices were reasonable. Now, the food is where it is at! Fresh baked bread! Absolutely delicious! Tastes fresh and home cooked made with love! There was a large selection of baked goods available for purchase. The older woman ringing up the transactions at the bakery counter was not very friendly and welcoming towards us but she did her job and she did it accurately. We will definitely be a returning customer to this hidden gem!

Good breakfast sandwich. I asked if their ham was thick cut, obviously they cut it fresh since they cut it real thick (at least. 25"). Wife has egg allergies and I found out their breads, turnovers, and strudel are made without egg. Good table separation for eating in during covid. Have homemade soups and pierogies too

A friend had taken me here a couple week ls ago and I had one of the best dinner experiences I have in Pittsburgh. I love dinner and everywhere I go for travel I try a dinner. This is one on the best ones I’ve tried. Great service and the food was delicious with a reasonable price. My buddy had the breakfast pierogies with kielbasa. It looked amazing and if I go back, I’m trying those. I ended up getting the Brother Tom’s breakfast plate. And when I received this French toast, I was absolutely amazed! Bread was made in house, and it was nice fluffy and flavorful. Hands down the best French toast I had a very long time.

Can I have a side order of fries with that?
"Sure!"
.. can you add cheddar cheese?
... also an egg?
"To the fries?"
..yes
This place is my weakness. 😫

Our waitress was wonderful, the food was fantastic, and the prices were very reasonable. Bakery items are all homemade. Pierogies are homemade. Portions are generous.

If you’re looking for the classic diner breakfast, this is the place! I ordered a more basic breakfast platter, and every item was done perfectly. The donuts are AMAZING.

My kid goes here frequently with his school and is always on me to visit. It's not Brother Tom's fault that the Highland Park Bridge has been a construction nightmare for years but it keeps me from going over there and only ever trying the treats that were brought home from aforementioned kid. They've all been delicious but I wanted to go and finally made it. Unfortunately, I was that person who rolled in shortly before closing and everyone working was still so nice. I ordered from the case and left with many, many cookies. I've also had the brownies and perogies in the past and have done to the conclusion you can't make a mistake in there. Everything is good and the feeling is really low key and homey. Definitely worth the bridge construction.

What a local breakfast diner should be! Eggs, french toast and coffee for $7. Simple, no frills, local, friendly and accessible. From my experience the baked goods are good not great, but the diner is top notch for breakfast basics.

This little bakery-restaurant on Main St. in Sharpsburg is the perfect breakfast spot. Came in on a Saturday at peek breakfast time, sat down and was waited on very quickly with very polite service. The food was fantastic both taste, price, and quantity wise. I’d recommend to anyone in and around the Pittsburgh area to stop here for a bite sometime.

My first time there, I purchased several of the baked goods to go, a dozen of their pierogies and pumpkin roll. They were very kind and helpful. Everything was so delicious.
We have been back every visit to Pittsburgh. It is the best breakfast place around. Homemade toast bread, crispy bacon and you won't go away hungry.
You won't be disappointed!

Great bakery, very quick service. Lots of tables with a server, pay at the counter when you are done. Cash or card. Lunch specials are 🔥🔥🔥

This place is a gem in Sharpsburg. When you walk into Brother Tom's, you feel like you've stepped right into the 1990's - that family run diner vibe. The food is excellent. I'm a huge fan of their breakfast. Good portions for the price. If you're looking for a place for food, give them your business rather than one of the big chains. You won't be disappointed.

I got the #4 on their breakfast menu and was happy. Husband got the chipped steak sandwich on the lunch menu and was happy. Coffee was particularly good. Looking forward to my cherry turnover I got to go. Service was friendly and fast (there was a lot of snow/ice on the ground so there were only a handful of people there). They also take card, so bonus for them too. All together a solid diner that I will return to!

Got a handful of pastries. All had great flavor. Met the owners mom, she served me, very friendly. They have a big selection. Including homemade perogies, grab and go dinners, and sit in dining. Great prices!

Good food and extra friendly service. Prices are a bit high for diner food, even with early bird specials. I do really love the staff, though, and I'm glad to see Tom every time I go. It's nice to see someone so invested in their business and I can't wait to see what it looks like in 5 or 10 years.

Enough can't be said about this place. The small town feel, the service, having grown up here is an added bonus. People I've known all my life walk in and get to talking and the oldies playing faintly in the background really gives it an olde tyme feel. Plus the food is great.
10/10 would always recommend.

Tom's Diner is not only a nice neighborhood bakery but it's also a nice comfortable place to have a sit down breakfast, Lunch & dinner.. The food is good and the price is right.. This business is mostly family run.. The staff are really nice, polite & helpful.. Besides the bakery and restaurant part they also have homemade meals in the freezers to take home and enjoy at home.. And, their homemade pierogies are awesome..😋.. Stop by and give it a try.. You wont be disappointed..😁.. Have a Great Day..!!!!
