This is my go to music store. I’m a professional musician and I gig regularly. I love that I can walk in and get excellent customer service from other musicians. I also know musicians who live out of state and come here, on purpose.

I’ve easily spent thousands here in gear, and will keep coming back. Whatever they don’t have in store can be ordered.

They make you feel valued as a customer, and I’m gonna keep bringing them my business.

I've been taking guitar lessons with Bill Peters in Lancaster for 2 years. As a young adult with a busy lifestyle, starting from the very basics, Bill has been very patient and supportive. Despite me having no prior knowledge, Bill successfully taught me the fundamentals and even tailored his teaching to match my desired sound/style. He's also a great person to converse with about music and life in general. Thank you Bill!

Esther Jones is my piano teacher in Hanover and because of her energy and positivity, I truly look forward to my lesson every week. She is not only super encouraging but constantly wows me with her knowledge of music history, origins, composers, methods, and techniques. She is certainly a bright spot in my week and shows me that yes, an old dog CAN learn new tricks!

We were renting a viola for my 4th grader just beginning orchestra. It was a great experience for me and my 4th grader as well and everyone was so nice and made renting an instrument much easier and informative, making us aware of all the things we will need in just one visit. A great place to help children appreciate the joys of music.

Menchey knows music! My husband got me a used piano. I LOVE IT! From the delivery to the tuning to ordering music, Menchey's employees have been superb! They are knowledgeable, capable and so pleasant! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Even through the pandemic, you've been terrific!!!

Very pleased with the repair services provided at Menchey Music! I have brought all of my saxophones there over the years for repairs and services, and have been thoroughly happy and impressed every time it is returned to me. I even brought them in a rare vintage baritone saxophone last year, in extremely poor and rough condition, and in a reasonable amount of time, they had it completely overhauled and in playing condition! Extremely competitive repair prices, too! Currently have them working on an old tenor sax, and I could not be happier with all they have done for me! I trust them to work on even my most important horn, which is saying something.

You can tell the repair techs take pride in their work, are honest, and want to give you the best playing instrument that they can provide. I will always be back!

So far, we have had two students with two different teachers/instruments. Both times I have been pleased with our experience. Friendly staff, workability if schedules need to be changed. Thank you for the great service.

Almost nothing about this year of the pandemic has been easy. But Menchey made it as easy as possible for my daughter to get a violin for her virtual music lessons through school. Their web site is chock full of helpful information. I spoke with an employee by phone to clarify the one question I couldn't find an answer to online. They measured her at the store and handed over her violin, music stand and music book right away. Everyone was masked, respectful of social distancing and felt safe. Thank you!

Better than expected - was able to try out 3 different trombones, including one brought in from the Lancaster Store especially for me to test. Never expected that opportunity. Plus, the staff allowed me to use one of the practice rooms so I could test out all three instruments to my heart's desire. When I finally decided on the one I bought, I knew it was the one I wanted and I haven't looked back since! Also, to know they have a service department to help if a need arises was the icing on the cake. Great staff, great experience. The Chambersburg Sr. High School Band Director David Wenerd was the one who recommended I try Menchey's and I have also thanked him for the great advice.

I ordered the Squier Vintage Modified Jazzmaster Electric Guitar as a Christmas gift for my Son, which was delivered in person by the people of Menchey. What a pleasant surprise! Can't wait to see him open it!

I flew in from Alaska and stopped by to see anything new and/or interesting. Bought a Yamaha Guitalele. The staff were amazing.
Tall, bald very bearded salesman held the instrument for me until I had my flight back. The instrument is fantastic and sounds great live.

After checking out a few local places and some not so local, I decided to pop in to Menchey's and drop my guitar off for some new strings and a quick set-up. Disclaimer: I'm an absolute beginner and currently know next to nothing about guitars. That being said, when I walked in I was met by Dave who was more than happy to walk over and explain the different types of strings I could choose from and ultimately I went with his suggestion, given my beginner level. He eyed my guitar and said he could see a bit of a slight bend in the neck but it was no big deal and he'd have it fixed in a couple of days. He actually ended up having it ready for me by the time I was off work the very next day. The strings Dave suggested have resulted in my guitar becoming about 1000x more playable for me and my non-calloused fingers, which I am absolutely sure will get me over this beginner's learning curve and on my way to actually playing for real!

I'm extremely glad I came here over the other places I had looked into. Thank you Menchey's and thanks again to Dave.

Had everything I needed and more. On this visit picked up a snark tuner and a guitar stand. Prices were great staff was friendly and made it a very quick and easy visit. Will be back for sure.

Great selection of various instruments, sheet music, accessories, etc. Staff friendly. More catered toward orchestral instruments but also stocks a modest selection of guitars, ukes, and percussion.
