UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute at UPMC St. Margaret

I went to the UPMC Vein and Vascular clinic due to veracious veins. Was scheduled to have RF ablation, was prepped for that procedure, then the Dr. changed the course of treatment to foam injections. Two weeks later, follow up, more injections. Two weeks, scanned, OOPS, Dr. put last injection in an artery, we need to wait two more weeks to make sure that it doesn't move, told to take an aspirin a day to help prevent it from breaking free and causing a problem. Two weeks later, scanned, more injections. Procedure started the beginning of December and finally cleared in beginning of February after three rounds of injections, one of which was injected in the wrong spot. Still get billed for it. Procedure was initially scheduled for November but Dr. was on vacation so had to be rescheduled. Communication prior to procedure was terrible, I had to call to see what pre-op prep was. Would not recommend this facility or course of treatment.

**CARDIAC PATIENTS BEWARE!!!!**
Had an absolute TERRIBLE experience with Dr Martha Ann Pullins. I have gone through extensive testing about a heart issue that I came to her office with, and she has not personally called me since our initial visit about test results, treatment, etc, just her nurses. I asked questions that the nurses could not answer (just the doctor could since she is the one treating me) so I asked to speak with the doctor on the phone when she is available about my results, diagnosis, treatment, etc. After weeks of never hearing from the doctor herself.....She proceeds to email me! (after weeks of asking to just talk with her about my tests and diagnosis on the phone) so I again asked in reply to her email to speak on the PHONE!
She finally calls 3 days later with a horrible attitude and clearly annoyed on the phone that she has to speak with me. I asked her questions about my “diagnosis” and test results and she responds by telling me she isn’t sure what is wrong but is speculating. She then tells me her findings are quite literally word for word what I told her at our initial visit about my symptoms and why I saw her. She then says she’s putting me on a medication. I proceed to ask her the risks and such of the medication and she snaps at me and tells me she’s not forcing me to take it and I don’t have to take it if I don’t want to. I have never in my entire LIFE experienced such horrible, untrained, unprofessional, rude medical treatment as I have with Dr. Pullins. She has many lives in her hands and she does not take her job seriously. Run don’t walk far FAR away from her. She does NOT know what she is doing!!!!!!!!!
