Phantom of the Attic Comics

This is THE best comic store in the entire World! I mean it, this is the most welcoming, nicest, best priced comic store I've ever been to. I can always find what I'm looking for and if I can't they will find it for me. I have gotten very many rare comics here for cheaper than ANYWHERE ELSE. I will not shop anywhere else for my comics because I have it all right here. They even hold weekly releases so I don't miss anything I'm excited for! Absolutely 100% go here this is my favorite place in all of Oakland.

Best venue in the greater Pittsburgh area to find comics! They're friendly and helpful, with a huge collection of new, and older comics/graphic novels/manga. Across the street is the Phantom of the Attic table-top games store, which is considered a great place to shop by nerdy types. They have games events too!

I've been going here for 14 years. The staff have always been friendly and knowledgeable. Phantom is small in size, but despite that they're packed with tons of games and hobby items. The array of models they supply can't be beat, IMHO.

I love this place. Great place! The staff are friendly and know what to say to ease people into buying the right books. They are very current and have current stock of books. There's an event on the 4th of May, free comic books to collect. Stop by if you can

Fantastic little comic shop within walking distance of the Carnegie History Museum. Great mix of current comic titles, indie published books and kids friendly titles.

Every time I go here, I leave with something good. Great selection, and knowledgeable staff, and if they don't have what you're looking for, you bet your biscuits they can order it for you.

Probably the best comic shop I’ve ever been to. I have recently been going pretty frequently for almost a year while studying at a nearby school. The staff are incredibly nice, they have gotten to know me and ask about what I’m reading and my life. I’ve asked for them to hold comics for me, which they will always do, and they will sometimes let me buy a comic a day before it’s on their shelfs. Really well priced, lots of options if you want to buy Graphic Novels. They have many comics from different publishers, not just Marvel and DC. I’m so glad I started going here.

Stopped a few times while my friend was in the hospital. Staff is kind, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Really amazing selection of new books and graphic novels. Would definitely recommend and return when I'm back in town.

Phantom of the Attic is an outstanding comic book store in the heart of Oakland between CMU and Pitt. The shop is spacious, with all of the latest comics spread out and easy to find, along with a great selection of trade paperbacks, a respectable Manga section, and a selection of supplies.

The shop staff is always friendly and ready to help answer questions or to order you something they don't have. They ship too if you are out of town. Give them a try if you are in the area!

I love this story! They have been a big supporter of my husband’s comic book which means a lot since he is a indie comic book writer. Go give them support because they are awesome!!

While the back issue selection could be larger, no comic store in the area did Free Comic Book Day 2023 better than Phantom of the Attic Comics in Oakland. The sales in combination with the welcome and guests resulted in the best FCBD2023 experience in the Pittsburgh area.

The supreme comic books store in the burgh..nothing even comes close..this is a must stop shop for all things comic books or anything like that.

I've been here off and on, and I really do appreciate the people who work here. Their comic selection is inclusive, and the staff has always been incredibly helpful and kind to me, whether or not I ended up purchasing anything. This is one of my favorite comic stores in the area and I highly recommend checking them out if you have the time. New comics sell fairly quickly, so get there early on Wednesdays if that's your jam.

Large selection of volumes and issues of every theme. Space is very nice and open and clean. The space really is the nicest comic book shop I've been in. Employees are knowledgeable and good at connecting customers to future events. They have a fun pin collection for sale as well!

Very friendly staff and great selection of comics in a cool location! Was looking for Heroclix and they didn't have any, but they were able to suggest other comic shops in the area to check out.

Tons of comics, well organized and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful when looking for something specific. I came in looking for a power rangers comic, the guy working found it immediately and chatted with me about it! Will be buying all my comics from here!

Jeff is the opposite of the stereotypical gruff comic store guy! He's affable and helpful and can help you find your next favorite title! Wednesday is New Comic Book Day and they open at 12!
