Giovanni's Italian Bakery & Cafe

I have lived half a mile from here for almost two years and never stopped in because I thought it was just a bakery. Man was I wrong! This place is a cross between a bakery, cafe and restaurant. You can drop in and grab a ready to bake lasagna, sweet treats or sit in their super cute dining room for a full meal. They have a surprisingly good selection of alcohol and the dough/pasta is homemade! Best pizza I have had in a long time and so reasonably priced. Perfect for any size group as well as kids. The service was phenomenal. I expect to be known on a first make basis fairly quickly as I plan to go all the time.

Real Italian Food! The pasta is made fresh. The chef is from Sicily. The food is made with love, quality ingredients and detail. Cannoli, biscotti and every pastry you can think of. The sandwiches are genuine. The customer service is like family. The restaurant and restrooms are clean and smell nice. Trust me and go here, you will thank me later!

Giovanni's bakery is delish!! I love the Italian cookies, they even have Gluten Free! The fresh pasta the chicken parm the calzonis!! Are all fantastic!

Damn good grub!! The steak and cheese sub sandwich is killer. The meatballs are off the chain and guarantee you try a pastry you'll be taking a box of them home with you. Really great staff too. Plus super clean restaurant, loved the decor and vibe and the staff all deserve 10 stars. Keep it up!!! And do some more advertising cause the food is on point. So once someone visits once they will FOR SURE be back again. 10 out of 10. For me!! ;) tell the Chef to keep up the good work!!! 😄

Definitely eat here! The pasta was homemade, and so great. The Alfredo sauce was from a giant cheese wheel and was the best Alfredo sauce I've ever had. There was a great carpet of pastries and desserts. The service was fantastic. Prices were very good. Bonus: very pretty interior of the restaurant.

This is one of the places that makes meetings so much better. Friends become closer, business becomes bearable, and the food is where it all begins. Everything that I've had has been scrumptious, and the desserts are worth coming for alone.
The atmosphere has that grandmothers kitchen type feel. If you're looking for something truly authentic, and quickly becoming my favorite lunchbox

I'm so glad I stopped by. This is the best Italian in Lakewood. There is not a huge dinner menu but that's a good thing (this is not O G). Everything is excellent. You can tell dishes are prepped with every little detail in mind. I recommend the homemade pasta which is tossed in the imported Parmesan cheese. If you love Italian food you have to go by there. The bakery items that had so far are amazing as well.

It’s all good and fresh. My favorites are the Steak and cheese with peppers and jalapeños, yum! The pasta is all fresh and both the red sauce and white are awesome. The garlic knots are great also! Then there’s the bake goods, it’s an understatement to say that they are all good and very Italian. Enjoy!

Carla and Salvatorre will take good care of you if you come in here! He is from Sicily, so you know the pastries are going to be next-level. The massive pastry case is baked and filled by just him! Very impressive. The food looks and smells amazing, and they're in the process of getting their liquor license, so dinner is about to get even more tasty. Great little neighborhood gem!

Giovanni's is a wonderful family restaurant. We were there today and our Chicken Parm and Steak onion and pepper sandwich were very good. All served with homemade garlic rolls and ciabatta bread for the sandwich.

Their bakery is Sick! Everything looks so GOOD! Breads, pasta, pastries cookies are made on premise. Freshness and goodness all in one hidden restaurant!

They are hidden off West Alameda by the Safeway across from GMHS. They're around the corner from Safeway facing Dr Liehr's Foothills Animal Clinic.

Ordered from doordash and am addicted. The limoncello cake is to die for. That was what I got a couple weeks ago and haven't been able to stop thinking about it. Ordered again today with other food and am in love. The lasagna and chicken bacon alfredo are amazing. We had it for lunch and I'm contemplating ordering for dinner!

Stopped by while company was in town and had fantastic dinner. Lobster ravioli, eggplant rolatini and sausage and peppers. The mix of Alfredo and red sauce is super tasty. Got pastries to go. Cannoli has nice touch of lemon in the cream. Lemoncello cake smooth and delicious. Macaroons delish. A hidden gem in Green mountain.

Picked up a half pan of lasagna the other night on my way home. Baked it at home, and served some calazoni's with it. Very good, and very easy to do on a snowy night i didn't want to cook! Will be back!

We stopped in last night on a whim and picked up some pastries. Not only are they beautiful, but they are so delicious! Try the almond paste cookies dipped in chocolate, the chocolate cherry cookies, and the buttercream sandwich cookies.

I stopped in on a whim (grocery shopping across the parking lot) OMG am I glad I did! The lobster ravioli with Alfredo and bacon was TO DIE FOR! Next time I'll pace myself rather then eat every bite so I can try their amazing looking cookies!!!

My husband and I LOVE this place!! Their alfredo sauce and calzonis are so delicious and the pastries are so pretty but taste even better. Love having a spot like this so close to us now!

Love this place! Homemade pasta and pastries that are all to die for. Reasonable portions for 1 person leaving you satisfied but not bloated.

Great homemade food. Staff and owners are friendly and nice. Recently got their liquor license and have a great happy hour. Highly recommend!

Great spicy sausage and green chili calzone, and an amazing array of cookies, including several almond paste/gluten-free varieties!
