Have frequented this incredible store for 25 years. I drive from WNY to shop and take classes . it's well worth the trip!

I'm not into sewing, but...

I went in to research fabrics, for a friend, and ended up spending 45 minutes having fun looking around, all by myself 😊
Very nice selection of fabrics and other items, at reasonable prices.
Since this is Gettysburg, they also have lots of Civil War period fabrics on hand.
Photos are some samples of upholstery and tapestry I was looking at, for a set of early 20th Century chairs...

Hours are wrong on Google. Open Wed - Sat. This is the place to go for quality fabric at a good price. This store has quality cotton, linnen, wool and silk as well as a good selection of staple. One of my favorite places to shop.

Stop going to the big box stores. We went, today, to this local small business and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. They are so helpful if sick of the "down aisle 2..." experience

We stopped in on a trip to Gettysburg and we're thrilled with our visit. Darlene and Herman are wonderful people and the store is a treasure trove of hard to find fabrics at fair prices. The highlight of my visit was finding high quality black watch plaid flannel to make a new robe to replace one I had completely worn out. They had beautiful historical fabrics, buttons and trims and a nice collection of quilting fabric. So nice that I spent over $150 in 2 trips. Don't miss this place is you appreciate high quality fabrics at reasonable prices.

This is a great place if you are looking for something special in fabrics, notions or trim. They also carry patterns for costumer and reinactors. Yes, you can get period correct patterns and fabric all in one place. The staff is knowledgeable and able to assist if you have questions about your project. They are well stocked for all your quilting needs also. A place where fabric lovers can spend hours.

A living history sewers paradise! Huge selection of period correct fabrics, patterns, notions, and cage crinoline kits. Yes, it's a bit on the expensive side but you get what you pay for. I could spend hours here among all of the gorgeous fabric for inspiration but that would be awkward.

What luck to stumble across this gem of a fabric store while we were camping nearby! The building is very unassuming from the outside, but inside the place was large and the fabric selection just wonderful, especially quilting fabric. There were even complete block of the month sets all packed into totes for sale, and a nice selection of quilting books and patterns. The owner was friendly and helpful, too. Next time we’re in the area, we’ll be stopping in!

Such an interesting place! The wool felt by the yard selection was amazing! I also found some unique dragonfly buttons.

Large amount of reproduction fabric. Friendly staff & shoppers. Hours on Google are incorrect. Wed thru Sat 10am til 5pm are the correct hours.

This is one of the few stores left within an hour's drive that has good garment sewing fabrics at good prices. There are lots of wools and cottons, a few silks and brocades, and quilting fabric. I was looking for a lightweight lining cotton and instead of showing me the usual one bolt, they have a whole shelf of different weights, weaves, colors and prices. I like the staff a lot. They aren't all gushy and fakey like most small shop staff, but will show a genuine interest if you ask for help. The older (my apologies) lady even went in the back to haul out a bolt of wool in the color I wanted - a bolt I could never have lifted! Such a pity that this kind of store used to be in every town, and now they are diamonds in the rough.

Outstanding selection of general and historical textiles. Although internationally known and respected for their historical goods they also cater very well to the general needs of the local sewing, craft and quilt patrons. The owner, Darlene, is very knowledgable about textiles, positive, helpful and cheerful. She has bent over backwards to provide the living history community with period correct linens, wools, cottons, silk materials, trims and even worsted laces. For the 18th and 19th century goods, this shop has few peers.

If you're a reenactor, this is your fabric mecca.
As someone who has taken up a side job making uniforms, it's ideal for me to drive the 20 minutes to get there from Gettysburg.
The owners are wonderful people, and this is one of my favorite places to visit! Prices are reasonable, and inventory is massive.
