Dunlap's Restaurant

I went to Dunlap's today for the first time during my visit in Gettysburg and I was IMPRESSED! We were greeted and seated immediately. Drinks were served instantly within 5 minutes from when we placed the order. Food was served in about 15 - 20 minutes. Michelle was on top of her game she was very attentive active and friendly. I had ordered the veggie omelet and it was spectacular! I felt as if I am at home enjoying a very delicious meal away from home.

Overall experience:
Excellent environment, friendly service, great menu choices, decent food and affordable prices. Dunlap's is a must stop while in Gettysburg.

Great food, ( love the meatloaf and mashed potatoes! ) excellent service and reasonable prices. I notice that every time I'm in the owner and service staff no their regular customers by name and Converse with them like family. Love that!

And love the cute new deck with a view of the Federal Pointe Inn right next door.

The service was excellent. Nick took good care of us. I explained my dietary restrictions , and received all my food without any issues. Definitely will be stopping in for another Delmonico at the Dunlap the next time we are passing through Gettysburg.

I had the chicken Chesapeake n hubby had the veggie soup. They were so good n everyone was nice. Edit: I'm not going to change the stars. However, it needs to be brought to your attention that our waitress looks horrible. While everyone else looks professional, she's wearing spandex and what looks like slippers. Not cool at all.

Dunlap's is hidden gem in Gettysburg. Great home-cooked food. The menu has a nice variety. Great for families, small groups or even date-night. Staff is attentive and knowledgeable. Kaden is particularly helpful. I wish I lived closer, I'd be a regular.

Great place, really enjoyed the dinner we had there. I got the rib dinner and it was to much to finish at the restaurant. The rest of the food we ordered was great as well. Wasn't real busy when we went that day. Service was good and prompt.

Awesome little restaurant that we went to on our 29th anniversary! I had a beautiful 16oz delmonico steak and husband had crab imperial. Both were absolutely mouth watering! Waitress was very pleasant and efficient as well. Definitely will be back.

Environment is decorated nicely, employees are very nice but I'd ask for Allison personally as your waitress. She was on top of her game and very attentive to our table. Food was delicious......the cheese sticks were so good. Prices are very reasonable.

My husband, daughter and I wanted to eat at a local diner while visiting Gettysburg, rather than grab food from a chain. From the moment we walked through the door until we left, we thoroughly enjoyed every part of the visit. The staff was friendly and attentive, fellow patrons were friendly and conversational, and the decor was interesting and homey.
My husband ordered the Seafood Sampler platter with Dutch Salad, and it was very delicious. The scallops were sweet and juicy, the shrimp had a nice kick, and the fish was succulent and flavorful. I, personally, did not like the crab cake, but he absolutely loved it.
My daughter ordered Mushroom and Swiss burger with fries. She liked it, but not as much as another restaurant's burger (a chain one). I didn't taste hers, so I can't say one way or the other, but she didn't leave a crumb on her plate.
I ordered Liver and Onions, mashed potatoes with gravy, and peppered slaw. Anyone who likes liver knows how wrong a cook can go with it, and I usually never chance it. Dunlap's does an excellent liver! It doesn't get bigger and bigger the more you chew, like some. It's really good. The mashed potatoes surprised me with the first bite, because they were full of flavor and bits of tater in them. I wish mine were as good as theirs, and I make fantastic buttery mashed taters!

Not sure why it took me 4 yrs to discover this place. Family visited this past weekend and wanted to dine without going into town. Located just west of town on 30 this restaurant is perfect with plenty of off street parking. The decor is relaxing and the food delicious. We liked it so much we returned for breakfast the next morning. Our waitresses, Sadie (how perfect is that name for Gettysburg) and Michelle were both curtious, patient and kind. Highly recommend!

So the website and the restaurant still have the old dunlap's sign however recently they have switched over to Federal point grille. My husband and I are in the area for the weekend to visit the national and stumbled upon this joint for breakfast. The hostess and our waitress, Angela, we're extremely kind and accommodating. We had little-to-no wait getting a table. The menu offered a great variety of sweet and savory breakfast choices, and the coffee was excellent! We enjoyed our breakfast very much and thank our server, Angela, for her amazing hospitality. We will definitely be back.

This diner has been here for decades and under the Dunlap name since the late 1990's. The staff was welcoming and service was prompt but not rushed. Salads and appetizers were brought out with plenty of time to eat before the main course arrived. The meals were well prepared and very tasty. Prices were great and this will definitely be on our must-stop list when we are in town now that we are back in PA.

The food is delicious, restaurant is clean, prices are good, waitress was very nice and did well even though was clearly pretty new. Forgot to take a pic of food before it was gone but you won't be sorry if you go to Dunlaps, I highly recommend it. Thank you for the delicious birthday breakfast.

Had the Creamed Dried Beef on Toast. It was very good and creamy! I highly recommend this restaurant. Very friendly server and hostess!

1st time ever there. Had lunch with my niece, her fiance' and great niece...food was great. Bacon cheeseburger, cheeseburger sub, crab melt, mozzarella sticks all so good!! Waiter was very personable.

Fist time. Warm atmosphere. Cozy. Great service! I had a bacon egg and cheese sandwich, and I hit the spot. Will definitely return.

I've gone to almost every restaurant and Gettysburg and I can say that this is the first time that I've actually gone to dunlap's and I was extremely pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was really great the service was excellent and the food was really good. I had the egg white veggie omelette and it was probably the best that I've ever had. Most of our family just got standard diner food but all of it was very good. Highly recommend this as a good diner food and a great location.

My family has visited Gettysburg over a dozen times and somehow missed this wonderful place. After being declined our large dinner party elsewhere, I called Dunlap's to see if we could be accommodated. They said of course!! They took our info and said they could seat us right away, when could we get there? What a friendly and pleasant staff! The restaurant is lovely! Up to date decor and comfortable seating. We had such an awesome breakfast experience, we returned for dinner. Again, we were seated right away and the service was exemplary. This new found favorite gets TEN thumbs up!

This restaurant is a nice and comfy looking diner with decent food. Must have a mask. My dinner tasted pretty good, not amazing but okay. What I see in the reviews are that breakfast is the only bad part of here. I don't know if bad reviews are legitimate but if the breakfast reviews are, I have a hard time seeing the connection.

Update: I just got here and already better. Service is already amazing. Nice staff and amazing food. Spaghetti and meatballs were the best. 10/10 5 star
