One of the best BBQ spots I have had in Colorado. Brisket was so juicy and the cheese curd upgrade as a side is the best decision ever. Best cheese curds I have had outside of Wisconsin. Great service by Jennifer. Will be back, go check them out

What a find! Found a new spot to go dine on our trips to blackjack/Central City. Plenty of parking and restaurants has lots of seating. Service was great and all the food I tried was very good. My favorite by far was the Smoked Slamon BLT. First time having one 10/10. Also the cheese curds 10/10. They had live music when we visited on a friday night next to the bar. We loved the small town vibe and friendliness. Highly recommended.

Some of the best BBq I have had in CO hands down. The quality, portions and sauces all hit the spot. Tried the pork wings, lamb, chicken, beans and Mac n cheese and would recommend all of it. Definitely try the sauces as well. All the meat was well done and not dry at all. When in Blackhawk the go-to BBq place.

My husband and I were gladly surprised by the good flavor of ribs and pork belly nachos, smokey flavor and cozy atmosphere. Also the prices are great.

Everything was great including the service. The pig wings are incredible! The brisket was smoky, moist, and tender. The burger was great too. Not pictured is the chocolate cake dessert we had that was also very good.

Bbq all looked and smelled good and there are lots of menu options. We just shared the nachos and service seemed stretched a little thin but overall good experience.

Popular spot for locals, they make really good barbecue, the pulled pork and brisket are delicious. Ribs sell out early in the day so gotta get there quick. Really fun historic building and good food.

Walked in and were immediately seated. Our server was the only person working the floor when we went last Thursday, and honestly, her customer service was fantastic.

The food was also amazing, the mac and cheese was cheesy, the ribs had flavor, and the brisket was very good! It's a decent price for all the food you are getting.

The atmosphere is awesome, I love it when I walk into a place and you can tell it has history. JKQ BBQ definitely has a lot of history on its walls. It's definitely a good place to stop and eat if you are coming down from a hike or need a break from the casinos nearby.

Best food in Black Hawk. I love coming here. It has an old timey feel and the staff is always very nice.

Cool mountain vibe, spacious and clean. The smoked lamb was spectacular. Great service, our waitress gave us the low down on the town and great recommendations on where to go and what to see

Food was great. Brisket had good flavor and needed no sauce to add flavor. We had brisket, pulled pork, chicken and sausage. All were good. Had to get the cheesecake as "to go". Better than the casino food for sure. Family friendly.

Great food. Friendly service. A definite must of your in the area. The ribs, pulled pork, tots and Mac n cheese were excellent.

Small, home town restaurant. We had 4 of us that dined for lunch. We had no issues getting a seat, server was welcoming and helpful with the menu. All 4 of us had different dishes, and we were all pleased with our selection.

Highly recommend this place! We'd go back in a heartbeat!

We loved this place! The building itself was worth stopping to see but the food, staff and drinks made the experience worth visiting again and again. We started with the nacho app, then brisket sandwich, ribs, salmon blt and finished with the spiced cake. Everything was perfect!

Pulled pork sandwich was fantastic (loved the bun they used, too), cheese curds were definitely better than just normal deep fried curds elsewhere (they were super crunchy).

Also had a sampler with ribs, brisket, green beans, and slaw. Would get all of those again next time for sure!

And our server was absolutely killing it. She handed the lunch rush singlehandedly (quite literally, since she had a brace on her other hand), and was very friendly and attentive the entire time.

Definitely come check this place out if you're in town and love some smoky, delicious BBQ.

SUPER cool place! The staff is very friendly and the food was pretty dang good, which I want sure about getting bbq up in the mountains of Colorado but I was impressed. The best part of this place though is the atmosphere. Very old west feeling without being cheesy or forced like *themed* places. This is apparently the oldest salon in Colorado, founded in 1862 and it really feels like it but it's been well taken care of and didn't feel run down. Beautiful place and I WILL be back 🔥

These are the best ribs I’ve ever had in my life!! So tender, but grilly outside - so good. I would drive up here (from Denver) just to eat here. The cheese curds and tots green chile, sour cream, cheese, etc - also delicious!!

Located inside Crooks place historical building, amazing food, music, mood, staff, atmosphere. A must when in the area.
