Waffle Wagon

Great breakfast. Perfectly cooked bacon, Perfectly cooked sausage and perfectly cooked eggs. We loved our waitress. She was very sweet and very nice to us. The resturant was clean and peaceful. The restrooms were also clean. The parking lot was nice and easy to navigate for us. It was right off the highway too and very easily accessible. We ate every crumb of delicious food off our plates. The green chili was amazing. It was not too hot and not too mild. It was a very nice breakfast. Very reasonably priced as well.

Along our travels of hwy 50 we stopped at this nice breakfast restaurant where we we're quickly greeted by host and offered drinks.
Our server Nikki was very attentive and always on top of our needs. Food was delicious and well portioned for prices that we're very affordable for a small town like Cañon City. The Restaurant was very well layed out and super clean. Definitely a must stop in while in town.

This is one of the best breakfast Ive eaten in a while ..."Big Bob:warm flour tortilla on the bottom hashbrowns cheese(mine was without cheese) and 2 sunnyside up eggs(or your choice)smothered with green chili.I added sausage.

Great breakfast spot. Usually crowded. Best breakfast sandwich I've had in a long time.

Was in town and wanted to finally eat here! Our granddaughter loved her pancake and our meals were delicious. Staff is welcoming and I can see why it is a local favorite!

Waffle Wagon never disappoints. The food is great! I love the breakfast burrito with the green chili over top. The ladies serving are wonderful, they never miss a beat, and serve with smiles. We come out from the east coast every few years and make it a point to get our favorite breakfast at the Waffle Wagon.

We have driven by many times on the days they are closed, we were lucky enough they were open. I had the waffle it was absolutely delicious, my husband had the omelet with hash browns he said his was excellent. Our service was great and pleasant. I can see why they have been in business for 42 years, the place was packed, and people waiting to get a table.

A great place to eat! The food was very good. Was so glad we got to eat there before it closes. The owners are retiring. So many came back toward the kitchen to wish the owner well. Very nice!

A hometown favorite! Generations of families have made traditions out of dining here. Family owned & operated business, so it’s a very cozy atmosphere. Food is fantastic, proportions are huge, their prices are affordable, and there’s bottomless coffee.

Best breakfast burrito and green chili. We drive hour and half at least once a month to come eat here. We sit on the patio with our dogs. When the weather is nice.been coming here since January 2002. Highly recommend. Great customer service too. 😁😁😁

Nothing really blew my mind here, but I had good service, good food, and it was a decent environment. Gravy was pretty good(lots of places have had gravy).
I haven't tried anything but biscuits and gravy but those were solid

Fantastic food. Relaxed friendly staff. Expected atmosphere. What a wonderful place. Perfect place to stop in the morning during drive into the mountains.

Service and food in an small town setting, with some down home warm hearted people in a famil owned and operated business. The owner still does the cooking. The owners mom made my day with such a upbeat inspiring personality. The stuffed French toast will keep me coming back for sure. Everything was made exactly as I requested, and the food there is delicious. Great job family

What a complete experience!

Let's start where everyone expects a restaurant to shine. The flavors! The pecan waffles were the best waffles I've had in a very long time. The Belgian waffle seems to get the highest praise. Well... not anymore! There was a generous amount of pecans throughout. This was a traditional American style waffle that had the perfect balance of flavor, crunch, and chew. Speaking of that combo, everything had that balance. The bacon, hash browns, and even the toast. Everything was on point!

With that kind of food there are times service can be overlooked. I've been to my share of high end restaurants and can't remember the last time I saw one run like the Waffle Wagon. We drove up and asked about the wait because there were literally no parking spots. The person out front knew that there was a couple open tables. We parked and he asked about us being in the red car and got us seated right away.

Once inside I marveled at how all staff worked in unison. The busing staff was making sure everyone had what they needed if the wait staff wasn't present. Wait staff was helping folks not in their area and picking up dishes when patrons were done. What really blew me away was the communication, and that everyone knew what was happening.

They worked quickly and efficiently but we never felt rushed.

We are looking forward to our next visit!

I love the home cooked meals. Staff is very nice and down to earth. Wait time was very short tho the place was packed. We luck out and get Nikki as our waitress. Always makes us feel welcome and recognizes us every time. Foods good. They really should have corned beef hash. Thats their Only downfall.

I normally don't give 5-star ratings. But this place deserves it. Not only was the food good. Down Home Country cooking. The staff was friendly. And they obviously help out the community because of the few disabled people working there. I like places that let people be what they can be.

My husband and I went for breakfast, friendly staff, quick service, REALLY good food. I had the biscuits and gravy, gravy was home-made with a lot of flavor (did not taste like flour). My husband had the eggs and ham, generous portion of grilled ham. Highly recommended.
