I had a great time here. Went right after it rained. I did the harder trail and recommend everyone to try it(if possible). There were so many more things to see along the way(like mushrooms), then the easier trail. The mushrooms were everywhere. Some were on the trail itself. Loved that! Was able to get some good shots of them cause they were so close. At the end of the trail, the beach is there and you can see several islands. Even without the sun, its a beautiful location.

Oh, be careful of the parking lot, particularly to the VERY left of the lot, closer to the road. As I was leaving, a car parked by the woods there and got stuck in the sand. Fortunately there were other people around who knew what to do and helped them out.

Anyway, if you go, you'll enjoy it. I'm glad I went. One more thing. There is a restroom by the parking lot. Like a outhouse kind of restroom. The kind of toilet that doesn't flush. Just thought I'd share this tidbit of info. So glad they had this as I was able to use it before I started my hike.

It's a very nice park. There were 3 hiking trails, short, medium and long. We took the longest route by accident but it was a good hike, watch out for roots all over the place though, more than what I'm used to. It was beautiful throughout the hike. You'll be going up and down quite a lot compared to the other two shorter paths there. We were the only ones there at arrival, two other cars were there when we left. There is a porta potty at the entrance and a place for donations for upkeep if you want. The beach was smaller than I imagined but still quite a view.

Beautiful trail ending at Lake Superior. The terrain was a bit rugged with some hills and dips through beautiful forest and ravines and totally worth the effort. Signs along the path identified trees and animals which also displayed the Native American word as well. This time of the year be sure to bring bug spray for mosquitoes. Very cool place!

Great 1 mile easy hike. Had 5 yr. old gdaughter along and she walked all.
Shortcut back to parking lot if you don't want to repeat the hike. Well kept trail. Very gradual slope to the beach. Beautiful woods. Interpretive signs. Well marked. Thanks to the Red Cliff tribe for creating this park and hiking path.

A beautiful rambling trail through the Frog Bay Tribal National Park. Despite the amount of leaves on the trail, it was easy to follow and well marked. The trail is narrow with a lot of roots hidden beneath the leaves. It is not flat but goes up and down ravines and winds towards Lake Superior with a nice view of the islands.

This hiking park is a hidden treasure! The trails were easy to hike, it was so peaceful, and very well groomed. The trail takes you right down to the beach, which was my favorite part! The best part is it is free and the parking was good. Definitely recommend if you're looking for somewhere peaceful and nothing too strenuous!

Frog Bay is absolutely beautiful. The walking trails offer a look into the diversity in the forest. If you take a moment to observe, you'll see a really interesting ecology. The trails do change elevation and can be a smidge slippery. You'll definitely want to wear hiking shoes and be comfortable navigating different types of terrain. The walk to the shoreline could be quite a jaunt if you have kids with you. I would think you'd end up having to carry them the last mile.

Pretty scenic hike. I like that you can go one way there and hike the easy way back. It does go up and down on the trials but you can go an easier trail.

Beautiful land. The blue trail that starts in the parking area is a rugged hike to the lake. If you are looking for the "easy" trailhead, it is to the right of the restroom near the red fire number sign. Miigwech

Beautiful rustic hike through the woods to a beach. In October 2020 the beach was completely underwater due to high water levels.

Beautiful secluded park with short hiking trails and a beach. Learned a lot about the red cliff band's conservation work by going here.

Had a lovely visit to Frog Bay Tribal National Park! We took the longer trail (Ravine Trail) through the forest to the lake. You really get to experience the forest on the trail, and the clear path is well integrated with the forest. There are nice bilingual signs to help show tree species and other plants. The view of the bay was really picturesque. There are some shorter trails to the lake, too, and we were able to take that back to the parking. Definitely recommend visiting this lovely park and seeing Lake Superior from this side.

Peaceful and beautiful. We appreciated the quality of the woodlands and of the trail, which was far better maintained than any of the other trails we've hiked in Bayfield county. We were so grateful to have the opportunity to walk through woodlands with nary an invasive species in sight, and to see some lovely birds and red squirrels as we walked. A place to clean our shoes at the beginning of the trail would have been welcome, as we did worry about what we might accidentally track in.

this is a beautiful way to spend a sunny day with fam and kiddos. the trail is whimsical in away and has many twists and turns within to keep ya moving forward. I will let you know that this hike is not for the easily winded. it's aprox 2 m. long so be prepared to walk...but when you hit that beach and Lake Superior is glistening the hike was well worth it💚
