UPDATED 08/18/20: Changed to 5 star. After initial issue, the owner called and swapped out my boots with new ones. It's nice to see companies stand behind their products like Red Wing did. It is much appreciated, thank you very much! I will definitely recommend Red Wing

Bought a pair of Red Wing brand shoes (my third or fourth set of boots I've bought at Red Wing) about 7 months ago for around $240 or $250. I took them in to the store for warranty work due to the left shoe's toe stitching coming undone, both on the black protective layer as well as the layers underneath that (see picture). This only happened on the left shoe, the right shoe is just fine. The attendant at the store said he will have to call his manager to come in to look at them. Within an hour I received a call saying the manager said it is not covered under the warranty because that is considered normal wear and tear (their solution was for me to pay them to put on their epoxy over the toe). Considering I spend over 50% of my time in an office, and the other in a loader with a fully enclosed cab, these boots see about the least amount of stress a work boot can see, and yet not only can they not hold up to minimal stress, but the company won't stand behind their own brand shoe or their warranty. When you spend $240-$250 for work boots, they should last more than 7 months. Not only is the product not worth the money, the service definitely is not as well. I won't be recommending Red Wing to anyone anymore.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. I’ve never had my foot measured like that and the specific insoles are amazing.

Had an amazing experience at this Red Wing shoe store, went in there not knowing what type of boot I was going to buy and left feeling like I can sell that boot to a person who didn’t even need it. Was most impressed with the friendliness and knowledge of the worker, she even stayed open late for my shoe purchase.

Ended up not buying boots on this trip, but found the boots I really want to buy. Good customer service and very helpful. Boots are just a bit pricey, but I know they're good and will last forever.

Wendy was exceptional with our purchase. Very knowledgeable with our needs for my husbands work required work boot. Wendy gave us her undivided attention. We left feeling educated and very good about our purchase. I will definitely be returning soon because they also carry a women's selection of boot and shoes.I definitely recommend this location for your work boot needs.

Called up this, 7485 N Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80920 store from half way across the country with my dilemma and my man Joseph went above and beyond with service today. He found me a pair of boots that are running low and is having them shipped right to me. Thank you for great service.!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Went in looking for a pair of boots for welding and Wendy was more than happy to help me find the perfect pair of boots for my line of work. She was able to get me a perfectly fitting pair of boots. Also gave lots of advice on how to keep the boots fresh and looking new. Would definitely recommend this store to anyone.

Wendy and her store on the north side has re-established my faith in Red Wing Customer service. I've been a huge fan of Red Wing boots for close to 30 years. Even though the boots have remained to be amazing, my last two "In Store" purchases at different local locations haven't been great. I was thinking of just ordering online but luckily I found out about Wendy's store. She gave us the kind of Red Wing customer service experience that I've grown to expect over the years.
Not only was the customer service great but the boots I bought are out of this world. I get a new pair of Red Wings every year or two. Had the Pecos, pull up, steel toe work boots, Irish Setter, and even Chukka boots. Also, had several pairs of the 875/877 Moc Toe's in a few different types of leather. This was my first time trying the Iron Ranger 8111. I've been tempted before but have heard the "Break In" was brutal so I just stayed with the Moc Toe's. All, I can say is don't believe the hype. The Iron Ranger is the greatest most comfortable shoe I've ever owned and the craftsmanship is just remarkable. When I brush em off every night they make me happy just looking at em. I'm already saving up for a black pair and I am definitely gonna buy em from Wendy.

Wonderful attention to detail. The new store front is refreshing. I had the pleasure of working with the stores manager Sam, as a wedding photographer I am constantly struggling to find shoes for my mountain elopements, not only did she measure my feet but used an awesome tool to find the high point of my arch (makes a difference) strongly suggest anyone whose going to be on their feet for hours to invest in insoles it will save your life. Ask for Sam when you go!!! She will take care of you

I came in to buy my first pair of Red Wing boots and was taken well care of by the stores owner. She helped me through as many sizes and styles as it took to find the right one for me and I love them! I'll be back for another pair.

I had a great experience. Got a pair of high quality boots and a fantastic sales representative. It takes time for the boots to break in, bit they are now my favorite piece of footwear.

Perhaps I’m naive, but I didn’t know anything about Red Wing shoes until very recently. After falling and breaking my fifth metatarsal, which never healed, I developed significant ankle pain due to under compensating that leg for so long. Long story short, my ortho recommended wearing some heavier work boots to protect my foot more than sneakers would. I had always heard Timberland Pros were good for support and quality. BWHAHAHA! I was so wrong! I tried purchasing several pair before I started reading about work boots (lesson learned). Of course, it was then that Red Wings were brought to my attention. Leary of the cost, it took me a few days to work up the nerve and go into this store. Samantha was fantastic: she took the time to listen to what my specific needs were, took exact measurements of my foot and politely made some recommendations. She wasn’t the slightest bit pushy and made sure to answer all my questions. And she was cautious of my bad foot when helping me try on the boot (yeah, I noticed that and I appreciate it, Samantha!). I first tried on one pair of boots that were more aesthetically pleasing to me. Then I tried on the pair that Samantha recommended. A silly analogy from a man perhaps, but when that second boot slid on, it was like Cinderella slipping on her lost glass slipper. I knew in the moment that my foot fit in that boot and was hugged like a finely crafted glove, that this boot was the one. I purchased them immediately and have been quite pleased so far, though their is admittedly a longer break in time. I’m already trying to figure out now how to pay for a second pair! If you’ve never seen or tried on a Red Wing (stick with RW made in the USA) don’t let the cheaper Irish Setters steer you away, you are in for a treat with Red Wings! Thick, heavy, quality leather, solid and sturdy hardware, and a sole that grips like no other. Red Wings, you have won me over. Samantha, you were awesome enough to warrant the drive to your store on the other side of the city despite there being a RW store much closer to me. Bottom line, if you want quality boots with quality service, this is your spot. Know that it comes with a heavier price, but it’s an investment that you (and your feet) will not regret.
