Marioochi’s Pizzeria On The Square

The place was packed when I went in at 6 on a Friday night, so there was only standing room at the bar to order takeout. The food here came highly recommended to me by a local whom I met earlier in the day on a caving tour.
Great atmosphere, really kind staff, tasty pizza that felt a bit more authentically Italiano sans the usual sauce. I actually ate the entire 12 inch pie myself, and also opted to try the hunky dory cake. When I asked the bar tendress what it was she enthusiastically told me it was decadent 6 layer chocolate cake. Enthusiasm from an employee?! SOLD.
This cake came in at $11 a slice and that’s pretty damn pricey considering the pizza was $15, however- this giant slice of cake was insanely good- so moist, fresh and savory. Thumbs up

Finally made it here!
Of course we ordered too much for 2 people, but who doesn't love leftover pizza. It's hard to beat anything cooked in a brick oven, and this place has a lot of talent with their cooks.

Our server was one of the best. They gave us wonderful recommendations, and the food was amazing. I recommend the artichoke dip and the Raquel pizza! The pizza came out perfectly crispy around the crust, and the flavors all complemented each other. I do not think you could go wrong with any of their pizzas.

Excellent food. We had pizza and garlic knots, threw in some rosemary and garlic wings and finished with dessert. Special kudos to our server Angelina who did a brilliant job explaining dishes and being cordial and pleasant. Really enjoyed our visit.

Outstanding pizza place. They just did a jazz night as they have a stage above the entrance.

Such a cool place! We ordered 5 different pizzas . They were alll AMAZING. My favorite was the”Hey Sally” with Hot Honey! The artichoke dip with the bread was delicious, too! Service was 5 stars all around!

Ana amazing spot and hidden gem in Sparta tn. We stumbled into this gorgeous pizzeria after being on the lake all day kayaking and it was amazing.
The staff was very friendly and explained everything the menu and gave us excellent recommendations. This is different from other wood fired pizzerias and they do not serve red sauce on their pizzas by default. They have specialty pizzas and high end cocktails and the food lives up to the ambiance of the space. With a lift piano and knowledgeable staff it took our experience to the next level.

This is the best pizza I have ever put in my mouth. I’m serious! The atmosphere was amazing. It has out side dining too with that view of downtown. The inside was brick walls and eclectic designs. But the food. Oh man I will be a frequent customer here from now on. This crust from a wood fired oven….. oh my goodness. Mmmm mmmm so good. Please for the sake of your taste buds! Go try this place out.

Great tasting pizza and cold beer. Perfect lunch in a nice old building. Good menu selection, and our server was quick and pleasant. The best pizza in Sparta.

When I think of some of the best pizza I've had in my life, my memories always float back to Italy, and now after visiting Marioochi's, I will be thinking of their pizza as well. It reminded me so much of authentic Italian pizza, perfectly cooked in their stone fire oven. We started off with some of their spinach artichoke dip, which was really good. It was super creamy and cheesy. I ordered a pizza that had prosciutto and red onions on it and it was absolutely perfect! And my sister wouldn't stop talking about the toffee cake for dessert, after she tried it. The decor was vintage and quaint, just like Sparta itself. I can't wait to come back to Sparta to visit. I will definitely be stopping by. Thank you for a lovely experience.

We have been 4 times since the soft opening. This is the best pizza! Run by the same family as The Coffee Collective next door, you will find great service, quality food, genuine people, and competitive pricing. The meats and cheeses on the pizzas are top quality. The desserts are delicious! And the coffee is, of course, the best! Relax and enjoy small town dining at its finest!

Fresh fresh ingredients, perfect dough, devoured the wood-fired calzone. Salads are very generous portions. We have been back many times for in-house dining and take out. We also enjoy dining at the bar!

It was our first time to this restaurant and the waitress explained the menu which was so helpful, we had the most delicious pizza 🍕 and we will definitely be coming back and telling our friends and family about this place. Loved it ❤

I was a little nervous to order at first because of some of the reviews but y’all, it was amazing. The service on the phone taking my order was top notch, very friendly and made recommendations that were incredible, so good so that I got takeout for lunch and now want to go back for dinner as well! The Margherita pizza was delicious, the crust had great flavor. The cannolis were *chefs kiss, and the Caesar salad and caprese salad were delightful. I highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

Best pizza in this area bar none. It's a small business that may run out of some ingredients late in the day, but it's all good.
White pizzas are the main thrust. However, Marinara sauce is still on the menu.

Such a great place. Ordered to go. They explained menu offerings. Her suggestion was on point.
No sauce needed. The dough was perfection. Toppings fresh and flavorful.
Pricing is good.

This place is a must try!!! Take out or stay in. Either way you will enjoy the experience. The pizza is so flavorful!! I am happy to have them in Sparta. Word is they used to be in cookeville years ago. Loved their pizza then!!

My wife and I came in for lunch, the pizza was amazing.
