It's unfortunate that this hometown hardware store is closing after decades of service to the community. All stock is now 25-50 percent off and going fast.

The owners have done more than selling the farmer and homeowner a full range of necessary parts and pieces to to repairs but also could supply enough to build a small home.

When someone in dire need appeared on their door with a broken hot water heater or furnace, I've seen them give away the required parts free of charge to help the family through the tough times. As we're in the middle of the Bible belt, this would be called the "Christian" thing to do, and I'd agree as this is what one does to help his neighbor...Just try to get help like this from Ace, Lowe's or Home Depot!

Stephenson will be missed as a Cornerstone of the community and I'm sure when the doors are locked for the final time, there'll be a tear or two shed.
