Maple View Farm Ice Cream

This is some of the best ice cream I’ve had in the area. It’s fresh and homemade and so delicious. The waffle cones are so good. I had a waffle cone with chocolate ice cream, banana ice cream and mint chocolate chip, my daughter had chocolate ice cream. We loved it! I definitely recommend coming earlier as there will be a line. There’s plenty of seating outside on the rocking chairs and picnic tables. Next time we are going to bring a blanket to sit on with our 3 kids. My 20 month old loved running around in the field. The view was so nice of the farm!

Delicious ice cream and very nice views from the outside benches! You can enjoy your treats while admiring the beautiful sunset and country air!! I recommend the ice cream flavor, 'Carolina Crunch'. It was so yummy!

This is my fifth time here. There is always a line - that sums up how good their ice-cream is. There is enough parking. They have a large selection of ice-creams and toppings. This time around, I had the Sea salted caramel delight with bananas. My only complaint is that they need to find a way to speed up the service - have more staff or something. Its not fun to stand in line when its 93F outside.

A lovely old-school place, their ice cream is rich with milk that is fresh and of high quality. I don't think you will go wrong with any flavor, some of my favorites are the honey toasted almond, cherry vanilla, and caramel cashew. They all feel wholesome and never sickeningly sweet. After buying your ice cream, you can sit on one of the rocking chairs outside and look into the vast fields while enjoying your sweet treat.

The BEST ice cream in North Carolina! They offer your classic ice cream flavors (butter pecan, mint chocolate chip, etc), but they also have flavors for each university in the Triangle! I got a waffle cone with one scoop of the Carolina crunch (brunched up Butterfinger pieces) and one scoop of Buckeye (peanut butter base with chocolate). The waffle cone was so good and had a really nice crunch that complemented the soft ice cream texture. You order inside and then can take your ice cream to a number of picnic tables outside (even in the winter). The place is a local staple and is packed with charm, too, like old milk bottles. Even though they changed where they get their dairy products from to make the ice cream, the taste and texture haven't changed from previous visits. I appreciated that the staff were wearing masks. We will definitely be back here again!

Worth driving few miles.

Worth the wait! We stopped here after Mother's Day lunch and it was worth the line wait. By the time we arrived, we waited about 10-15 minutes and the line seemed to move quickly. I got the best ice cream ever - Death by Chocolate on a waffle cone. Wonderful visit with family. Staff were friendly. Customers were kind. We sat on the porch in rocking chairs eating ice cream. It melted quickly and I was not able to eat it all. Tons of options here. By the time we got our ice cream the line was very very long.

Great stop for everyone. Family friendly. About 20 chairs outside under the shade to enjoy the ice cream. They open at noon so keep that in mind. There’s a bike rack to lock your bike and if you wanted to drive and bring your bike with you, you can park your car on the opposite side of the street. Apple Pay is supported but bring some cash for the tip. Last thing, there is a water fountain on the side of the building to fill your water bottle.

The ice cream is always delicious, the staff is nice, and the scenery is beautiful. i always love coming back here.

They may have some slight issues with contamination between the ice cream flavours, so if you are allergic to nuts, you may want to be quite careful. A friend of mine had an allergic reaction when we went together.

This is a really nice location to have ice cream, you can enjoy a nice sunset while enjoying your time with family and friends. Very friendly staff. An immence amount of options of ice cream and milk shakes.

Love this lil piece of heaven on the edge of Chapel Hill NC. Tons of ice cream flavors, fresh farm goodies such as butter, milk and eggs too! Cherry 🍒 Vanilla milkshake 👍👍 Devils Delight (boo dook) 👍👍delicious flavor, subpar name but hate the player not the game! Come get you a cool scoop, pop yourself down in a rocking chair on their front porch and watch the beautiful sun set over the fields as your children run and play on grassy knoll out front. Plenty of parking too!

Best ice cream! Chocolate peanut butter was fantastic. Plenty of rocking chairs to sit back and enjoy the scenic view.

This is an underrated spot in the triangle area. It is in the middle of nowhere, but very accessible from CH or Durham. The ice-cream is absolutely decadent and is really fulfilling. Definite must visit if you're thinking whether the drive out there is worth it

If you are wanting great ice cream, a family friendly atmosphere, and a beautiful view, Maple View Farm Ice Cream is the spot to go. I especially love their homemade strawberries. They also have multiple specialty dessert choices mixed in ice cream. If you are going on a summer evening to see the sunset the lines get very long.
