Amazing food, unique atmosphere, very friendly owner. Thai food with a cajun kick! Highly recommended. Be weary there is smoking in the bar section but the restaurant side didn't smell like smoke.

We were driving to Jackson & looking for a bite to eat in Meridian. Far Away Places came up with great reviews, so we decided to give it a go. We drove up & weren’t sure if we’d go in, but cars were in the lot, so we trusted the reviews & tried it. Super kitschy inside, & really fun. The food is AMAZING! We love Thai, & this is the best we’ve had...ever. Egg rolls are a must, & great hot mustard. The Pud Thai was delicious, & the Red Chicken Curry was incredibly flavorful! Not a quick stop, but worth every moment & mouthful.

Excellent Food! This place is pretty cool and has an extremely comfortable atmosphere, and probably one of the best waitress ever! If you aren't sure about something, this lady keeps it real hahaha and tells you how it Is! The food is a little bit pricey but they server large portions. This is definitely a great exotic restaurant for those looking for something different! :)

Food was easily the best Thai food I’ve had outside Thailand and the atmosphere makes you want to stay for hours.
This is not a fast food place, but a restaurant and lounge with the most unique feel. Enjoy the free jukebox with drinks and appetizers before dinner.

Went there for the first time this evening with a special lady. What a fantastic place, the food was incredible, Mrs.Brittney, our waitress was on her A game. Don't be fooled by the look outside...the character inside and food will have you coming back again. Spring rolls are some of the best I've ever had.

The food was amazing! The best egg rolls anywhere and their Islander Paradise was 5 star awesome! Great staff, made us feel very welcome and a "far away" atmosphere to add to the experience!

Great place to go with a couple friends and talk and drink a few beers. Their egg rolls are huge and amazing and they’re about the only restaurant around here that does a good egg drop soup. They have many good options on the menu and a few awesome specials to choose from. Faraway places is always a great treat!

I grew up in a military family and moved constantly. Every place we lived, there was always a special place to eat that not many knew of. This is one of those places. It is a whole in the wall restaurant that delivers some wonderful food. The ladies that run it are great and try to help you as much as they can. You have to try their egg roles! Their curry is amazing! Their menu is diverse as well. You can also get leg of lamb, calamari, and creole cooking. I recommend it to all and take visitors here all the time!

Incredible food, unique atmosphere, and super friendly staff. Easily the best place to eat in this town. Walking through the front door is like stepping through a portal into a place completely different than the rest of Meridian. We ate at the bar and had really interesting conversations with Brittany and her grandmother, who has worked there since it opened. If you are in Meridian for any length of time, you MUST try this place. They have pitchers of Long Island Ice Teas for $29. Just putting that out there.

My husband and I love the food here. We live in Texas and always stop at this tucked away place. Authentic, freshly cooked food every time. Best egg rolls. Worth the wait. Try the pad thai, yum!

Its a tad bit more on the pricy side so be prepared for that, but well worth the price. I have enough leftovers for another couple days of delicious curry. Alexis was a very sweet server who checked in on me every other ten minutes or so. Ill definitely be visiting again and soon.

I’ve sought out Thai restaurants in almost every city I’ve ever been too (including London) and this is the place I always compare them too. It seems strange that it would exist in Meridian of all places, but here it is and it’s absolutely amazing. Some of the most delicious food served in a truly unique atmosphere. One of a kind.

The food is wonderful. Each dish is cooked to order so dont be in a hurry. Atmosphere is really fun. Full bar means have a drink, chat with owner, eat good food, and go with the flow.

Take the best features of a Thai restaurant and mash them up a 60s Honky-tonk and maybe you'll have an inkling about what this place is like. This is some of the best food in three states, particularly the red curry and egg rolls... it's not much to look at outside, but man this place is like a geode... a real gem once you cross the threshold.

Fantastic food (especially the green curry and blackened salmon!), quirky and cozy atmosphere, and friendly attentive service. We heard the service was slow, but Brittney is new and she was hopping! We’ll go back every week ❤

Best food ever!! The egg rolls are to die for. Everything is homemade and cooked when you order, so its hot and delicious. This is our go to place for a girls night out. Love it!!!

This is the best Thai restaurant I have ever had. Egg rolls are oh so good. The Pud Thai and Thai Tea were awesome. Hubby had the Islanders Paradise. WOW We will be going back ASAP.

I love this place! Quirky, but some of the best food, period. Everyone is friendly. The wait time for a meal would depend on how busy they are, because everything is freshly made.

One of the neatest places to eat in the Meridian area. Don't let the outside appearance discourage you. Great food for a reasonable price and the atmosphere is fun and quirky. Definitely recommend.

Food is Delicious. Egg rolls are handmade and AWESOME. ALL SOUPS are made Fresh. Egg Drop, sweet & sour, glass noodle are my top 3 favorites.
The Crying Tiger and Laau Nu are entree delicacies. My favorites.
Hamburger Steak, also is, on the menu. Grandmother Yi from Thialand, I remember fondly, the love in each dish from the kitchen.
