Decided to get lunch from here today as I hadn’t tried them before and I was not disappointed. I went for the Ribs with a side of macorroni and plantains. The ribs were so tender the meat just melted off and all three items were packed with flavor. I recommend giving them a try. I will for sure be a returning customer.

Food was absolutely delicious and authentic- I would highly recommend! Will definitely be back whenever in town !

The food tasted just like how it tastes in Jamaica. The server is super friendly and they play a really good selection of Jamaican music

Jerk chicken was great! Not too spicy, but enough to leave a pleasant burn. Mac and cheese was also good, as were the greens. Sadly, they were out of plantains and a couple of the sides. While disappointing, it just means that I have an excuse to go back!

Great food got me some oxtail and a brown stew chicken for my friend and the food was off the chain thanks island 601 for some GREAT Jamaican food

1st time in a long time we had some pretty tasty and flavorful foods!! Hands down! Highly recommended! Will surely come back to try the rest in the menu.

Awesome place for a “day date “. Food was superb (jerk chicken quesadillas) and since we were there just before lunch hour kicked in we really we able to relax and enjoy the music and chit chat with the owner. Highly recommmended!!

Well worth the wait, Jerk chicken with collard greens and rice and beans. It’s got a little spice and is seasoned perfectly. Remarkable!

Tried this place while visiting Meridian. Nice location and they were very accommodating for our party of 9. I had the oxtail. They were very tender and seasoned well. The portions were a good size. I would visit this place again. Only thing missing was Sorrell because they were out.

This was my 1st time dining in a Jamaican Restaurant. I truly enjoyed the food because it was a new experience for me and my friend. Lord willing, we plan to go again and again...till we've had a taste of everything on the menu. Then start it all over again. I think it's the type of spices they use 🤔 not sure.

This place has fantastic food. I dined in and got carry out. It's worth the money.

The jerk chicken was amazing! It had so much flavor and heat. The bed of rice was moist and flavorful! My first Jamaican food experience did not disappoint! Excellent!!!

If you are in the Meridian area and you want you want to like you are in Jamaica, this is the place to go. I have been multiple times, and everything I've had has been amazing. I dream about the Oxtails,Ribs, and Jerk Chicken. The sides (sweet plantains, cabbage, greans, pease) are just as good as the main dishes.

I brought my friend his for his birthday and we got excellent services and the food was delicious!! Definitely will be back soon!!

This is my favorite Jamaican restaurant to date. I was just passing through with my family and the food was so flavorful. The ox tail was a hit with the 11 year old. The island pasta was a hit with the ladies. I found the curry chicken absolutely perfect. We will definitely be back. A+

This place was delicious. My kids were hesitant at first about eating here, but once they took one bite of the curry chicken, they were sold. I had the ox tails, and the little one wanted beans and rice. She loved it. She's been asking for it everyday. The food was seasoned to perfection. Will visit again when in town.

Absolutely Great
Great food and flavor. Loved the music and people that work their. The only downside is the traffic and lack of parking because it is in the middle of downtown Meridian.

The food was absolutely delicious! I had never eaten here before and always wanted to try it. My wonderful co-worker treated me to a plate and it was amazing! The only downfall is now I am so full that I will be no good at work for the rest of the day! 10/10 would definitely recommend!!!
