Had an amazing experience here. A couple people were rude but everyone else was great. Even the security guard was amazing, he watched over me while my fiance parked the truck. Hannah from the ER was just the best, she had amazing bedside manner and seemed to genuinely care about her patients. I was seen quickly here, was in and out in about 3 hours. Still seems long but that includes scans and an hour of fluids.

We normally go to Rish, but with symptoms my husband was having I felt led to take him to Anderson and so thankful I did. He was taken in immediately as he was exhibiting stroke like symptoms. He was quickly checked in and evaluated. The Dr soon was by his side. Dr Phillips. Highly recommended later by friends who have used him for family practice. He was beyond thorough in running every test possible in evaluating him for potential problems for a stroke. There were none. He had TIA. Dr Phillips and the nurses were thorough. Friendly and informative as well as patient with my questions to be sure I'm prepared should this happen again. If it does I will be back at Andersons. We got there at 7 or a bit after in the morning on a Friday. I'm sure they prioritize life threatening symptoms.

Had a scare and had to bring my son into the ER tonight and the team was phenomenal. They met me at the ambulance bay when I got there and got my baby boy for me. By the time I had parked and got in they were already checking him. I will always use Anderson’s over rush. The care they provide is night and day compared to rush!

Update:

Lowering the review, while the staff was great we had to 4 hours.

First of all let me say that my mother refuses to go to another hospital besides Andersons and after this episode I think I’ve talked her into using another facility. My mom went in pretty bad sick by ambulance at 11:00 pm on a Monday night the staff in the ER were very friendly and compassionate and kept her in the ER over night to run tests. This all changed upon shift change at 7am on Wednesday the staff was not so friendly and every few minutes were trying to rush my mother away from there when we were told there wasn’t any rooms available that she’d need to stay in an ER ROOM UNTIL ONE BECAME AVAILABLE! The nurse even answered my moms phone when it rang asking if they were coming to pick her up. We haven’t found out what was causing her sickness or even been released by the Dr. I haven’t a clue what kind of things they have going on in that ER but they are not professional by any means and last but certainly not least my mom is a insulin dependent diabetic and no one checked her glucose levels not once in 18 hours. My mom asked for water numerous times and never got water in 18 hours and never offered any food. What kind of facility are they operating these days. I do believe their priorities are no longer on the patient. I’m proud to say that I refuse to take my mom to the Andersons North Campus again. She is a sick lady who frequents hospital stays but it’s worth driving to Forrest General to know that she’s being taken care of. Please if you care about your loved ones at all don’t let them go to Andersons Hospital!

Worse experience I ever had I brought my daughter in for a head injury at 8:00 in morning.I waited for hours and they never called her name or seen her. This is worse hospital to go to if you have a emergency.

Anderson is the worst place to go to for an emergency. Desk staff doesn’t even inform you about long wait time. They literally make you wait 4 hours to even see a doctor. Nurses are lazy. They are self pace environment.

I was out of state, passing through, and needed to stop in. Lady who worked in guest services beside admissions was extremely nice but that admission desk seemed uninterested. Played on their phones most of the time. I had to wait 6 hours to be seen. People came in after me and left before me. A doctor finally saw me for 1 minute and rushed back out. Never saw him again! My nurse was more helpful than him. This hospital does not take mental health seriously. They will put you at the end of the line and let you suffer.

Run a fast as you can from here. I walked in with my mom to get checked out and they refused to let me leave. Had security guards at the doors and kept me prisoner to my room. They forced me for no reason to mental institution. They told my mom there was no medical issues when their clearly was.

Don't bother. Go to Quitman or Jackson. Waited here 5 hours so far and they don't seem to be calling anyone. Someone explain to these people who dare call themselves medical professionals what shortness of breath means and that it is an emergency! None of the nurses know what HIPAA is because they came in the waiting room, rudely shouting out people's conditions !!! Total incompetence. So called screener wasn't screening anyone and was rude. Screener never took any temperatures. Had to go to another facility just to be seen. Covid patients in there with injured patients etc ( we only know that from nurses coming out loudly saying things). Nasty facility and no one came to wipe down floors, chairs anything in 5 hours time.

Worst emergency room experience I have ever had. Nurses were rude and showed no compassion toward patients. The wait was extremely unreasonably long just because the nursing staff just seemed to not care. Doctors and nurses were laughing and playing while people were walking out of rooms asking for assistance. If I could rate zero stars I would.

Just fill up your gas tank and take the drive to Jackson. At this point I'm thinking Lairds in Union may even be a better option. And that's saying alot.

I've been in this hospital for 4 hours now and haven't had a doctor stop by. I had to pull myself along a halfway to where I was supposed to go, didn't even have anyone wheel me back.

Paul and I have been sitting here before 12:00 and it's 3:15pm and still haven't seen a doctor. And what he has is highly contagious.
