Second time here. Passed through Williamsport on a bike ride to Gettysburg. Amazing sandwiches made quickly matched with great service and a folksy atmosphere makes this my go to. They cater to bikers with almost a full bike repair supply rack and are good people.

Great experience! Definitely recommend stopping here. The food is excellent, the staff and owner are super friendly and they have great desserts! They do serve gluten free bread when they have it, which is a nice bonus.

Affordable, BEST cups of coffee, latte and caps! easy to find, worth driving off the interstate to get a great cup of coffee or tea and some BEST desserts. This place is also a tourist destination for folks coming off the famous C&O Canal towpath. Say hi to allan, good fellow!

We stoped here for brunch and loved the place. It’s a small place but the ambiance and food is really nice. Very friendly and smiling faces in the cafe.

The ladies were very nice and helpful. Had a big ole bicyclist sandwich. Tasted great! They've got bike tubes and some other supplies.

Really nice shop with a very friendly staff. If you are on the C&O Canal trail and need a little break - This is definitely the place to go.

This place is amazing! It is so rare to find a restaurant that not only provides the most delicious food but also has outstanding customer service. The staff and owners do so much to support the local community. As a member of the LGBTQ community, it is also nice to have a business support us. Keep up the amazing work that you do!

Really neat place. The owner Rose is great! The healthy side with a sandwich is a great option. We got the bag of veggies instead of chips. And the coffee and pastries are really good.

Stop at this place if you can. We'll be making it a regular stop over on our drives along I-81.

Small place but with big flavors! The staff is super friendly, sandwiches are big and flavor packed, and you have to try their soups (love the gaspacho on a hot summer day!) This is a favorite stopover for bicyclists from the canal so lunch can be crowded.

It's become part of my daily week, especially when I have my daughter with. The staff is friendly to the point we consider them friends. The place is kept clean. They run efficient. A wait for food is only if it's busy and it's worth it because they put care into it and it's delicious! It's a comfy home away from home.

I was visiting my childhood home from Texas, arrived just in time to get a hug from the owner!

Not only was the food spectacular -- I had a turkey sandwich, and my parents enjoyed Reuben sandwiches for which they are famous -- but the staff are warm and inviting. Locals swear their soups are to die for.

Everyone will feel welcome at this oasis of culinary delight, nestled in tiny Williamsport.

We stopped in while biking from Pittsburgh to Washington DC and had an excellent experience! The food was delicious, service was great, and they even provided us with water to fill our water bottles! I would recommend to anyone who finds themselves in Williamsport.

Such friendly staff and great atmosphere. As a bicyclist passing through this little cafe was the perfect lunch stop with lots of resources availablebif you needed them. The food was delicious and hit the spot after a long hot day on the C&O canal path.

Excellent Cafe. I made this place one of my pitstops biking from Hancock,MD to Harpers Ferry,WV. They have a bike rack to stow your ride. The food is delicious (really enjoyed the veggie side with my Pick2). Also the atmosphere is lively with staff and locals. Big thanks for the water bottle refill.

So happy to have found this place near the C&O Canal Towpath! Great Chai Latte, menu of vegetarian and regular sandwiches. We stopped in the evening and again in the morning to fuel up with snacks on our way out of town. Friendly staff and people!

I stopped here while on a bike ride down the C&O. It was a nasty, day. Raining pretty much all day. The Desert Rose Cafe was a terrific lunch stop. First of all, they were welcoming. I entered dripping wet, shoes, shorts totally soaked, and asked if it would be all right if I came in. "We love wet, muddy cyclists!" I was told. I then squished into a chair, only to find an iPhone charger right at my table! How thoughtful! I had two mugs of hot chocolate, delicious crab bisque soup and grilled cheese. I would have liked to stay all day and try a half dozen of the different baked goods, but I needed to move on. Worth a detour to check this place out.

The Desert Rose Cafe is a fabulous place to stop for lunch. The freshly made sandwiches & wraps were absolutely delicious. The owner and entire staff were phenomenal—very friendly, appreciative, and caring for their customers. They offered to fill our water bottles with ice and cold water before leaving. They also offer have a variety of inner tubes available in case you need to pick up some extras. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!

We had a wonderful lunch and a delightful visit with the owner who took exceptional care of us and treated us like long lost relatives! We are from KY, biking the c&o. We took a short detour off the c&o canal towpath to eat here. It was more than worth the trip!

Our son and his family regularly stop at Desert Rose and we finally got a chance to stop by with them. We were impressed. The ice cream is locally made and the service is friendly and helpful. We will be back. Many flavors are offered, including one of my favorites, pistachio.
