Friendly service. Amazing prices. We loved the buckeyes and apple fritters so much that my brother went back a second time to get more!

This hidden little gem was wonderfully delicious! The friendly staff was so helpful and accommodating in helping our family find our goodies. The buckeyes were so yummy and the apple fritters were honestly the best we ever had! So refreshing to find great quality with a budget friendly price!

This is one of my favorite little cookie bakery places. These classic home style delights are absolutely fantastic.

It's really hard to imagine that you can go to a "tiny" commercial enterprise and get something so special, fresh, natural and delicious.

My favorites are the ginger snaps and the oatmeal cookies.

Love this place. Donuts are amazing and theres always a wide selection sometimes even new flavors. Definitely would recommend getting the milk here too. Theres just something how the taste (both regular and chocolate). They do offer a pretty great options for other baked goods such as cookies and bread. Everytime you go makes you want to try something new

What a great find. I was traveling through to Florida and wanted a hostess gift. The pies were still warm. What a great find!! Buy Local when you can.

Reminds me of my grandmother's baking. Everything is so delicious and fresh, prices very reasonable. Everyone working there is very friendly and helpful.

First time finally checking them out after reading rave reviews from friends. The donuts are large and melt in your mouth delicious. The chocolate glaze is exactly what I hoped it would be. My kids each picked a different flavor and every single one was amazing. The molasses cookies are super soft and taste "exactly like Nonna's" as my son put it. I didn't notice till I was already checking out, but also saw they had a case of day-old donuts for half price, which is an amazing deal!

This is a great bakery. It is behind a house so a little strange to get to. There are signs out front so just follow the arrows. The donuts are excellent. Prices are really fair. The people are super nice. Maybe a family fun bakery? I have not tried the pies or other things they bake but based on the pastries I am guessing they would be very good. The only thing missing is kolaches and it seems no one up here has those. Burkholder's should be the first and be a trailblazer. :)

This little bakery is a few blocks off the main road and can easily be missed unless you know to look for it. They have a little fold-up sign on the front lawn of what looks like a house on a hill but the baked good are out of this world. I've eaten their donuts and other sweets for years but never went there myself to get them. The donuts are made fresh every day. They even have a little selection of the last days leftover baked goods on sale for a fraction of the price and they are still practically as good. Love this hidden gem.

Nice family shop, prices are really fair for something so comfortingly good. Bread, donuts, pies, cakes, they're all good. Next time I'll get a cream filled donut and see how it shakes out, but if it's similar to the bear paw and fox trots, then it won't disappoint.

We're just drive by the town and saw the sign on the road and found this place.
The shop is located behind the house. So, you have to go around back to enter the shop. Small but cute. Love it!!
They have fresh baked donuts, breads, cookies, whoopie pies, and other baked goods.
They also sells milks and other small drinks in the cooler.
The owner is an older gentleman and he is super nice.
We got maple pecan donuts, glazed and peanut butter chocolate icing and one of the cheesecake brownie bites. Super delicious!!

My family has gone here for aslong as I can remember! Never had a bad experience. The peanut butter donuts are TO DIE FOR. The pepperoni rolls don’t disappoint either. Make sure to purchase some of the yummy chocolate milk to go with the donuts!

I want to try to express just how outstanding this place is. Imagine you are 10 years old again and going to visit memaw. You show up tried from the long car ride and she is waiting for you with hot food and a warm hug. That's Burkholder's. Everything they have to offer is amazing, baked goods made with so much care and love you can taste it. I recently took my mother in law here and she was impressed, and that's a tall order.

I love you guys, but me and my 5yo son accidentally came up on Monday when they were closed, and the older lady was incredibly rude with the tone she used to tell us they’re closed every Sunday and Monday. My son even asked why she was so rude. I’ve come up, pretty much once a week for years, but usually on Tuesday or Wednesday. Never noticed the hours of operation before, totally on me. No fault for the days that they’re closed, just the feeing of both of us being reprimanded for coming to our favorite place on the wrong day. Makes sense why she was working on the closed day. Don’t let her talk to anyone new.

Best doughnuts for in a 500 Mile radius. Don't hesitate. Get there and eat the awesomeness they bake everyday fresh.

We stopped here after visiting Antietam Battlefield. We almost drove past it because you don't see what looks like a retail establishment. It's a teeny tiny store attached to the house. Wiggle your way into the parking lot because it's worth it. The PA Dutch molasses cookies are super yummy!

I hesitated to review Burkholder's, as it is such a local, prized gem!
That being said, they make amazing donuts! Everything I've brought home has been fresh and delicious.
Got to get there early, or you might find they've sold out, which just might set the mood for your whole day - depending on how much you were looking forward to your Burkholder's donut!
