Our first impressions of Angel Oak Home and Design was wonderful. Both Terri and Delisa were great to work with. They were quick to recognize our vision of what we were looking for when building our vacation home. Terri was very thorough with every detail starting with the electrical plan. We are excited to move forward with more ideas and plans as they work with us to develop the house.

Angel Oak Home brings a much needed breath of fresh air to our community. Terri's design expertise, vast experience, and wonderful customer service makes Angel Oak the go to store for everything related to home decorating and interior design. Another great reason to visit downtown Toccoa!

We at the City of Toccoa are in the debt of Angel Oak Home for their professional design renovation work at the city-owned Historic Ritz Theatre. I cannot emphasize that enough.

The Historic Ritz Theatre was constructed in 1939 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The City of Toccoa assumed ownership and operation in 2014 and began significant renovation work to restore the structure.

In 2017, we received a USDA grant to complete balcony, basement, and plaza renovations. The basement includes two dressing rooms and an artist Green Room. Our goal was to complete the basement renovations in an Art Deco style.

We did not trust ourselves enough to come up with the proper arrangement, paint scheme, and decor. We have a professional design firm downtown - Angel Oak Home - so we asked them if they would be willing to work with us.

From start to finish, Angel Oak Home meticulously helped us work on our basement renovation project. They picked out the paint colors for the floor, walls, doors, and trim. They ordered customized Art Deco vinyl floor cloths for each room (a beautiful and durable option for the use these floors get). They obtained for us a customized bench cushion to fit in our second dressing room. They helped us arrange all art and memorabilia in each room. They drove to Elberton to pick out our Art Deco countertops. They picked out all fixtures and hardware for each dressing room. They ordered customized Art Deco vanity stools. They picked out beautiful Art Deco sconces. They recommended sensible life safety upgrades for artists' comfort. They picked out an Art Deco-style table and chairs for our Green Room. I know this is an exhaustive list. And there are certainly things I've neglected to mention.

The point of saying all this is that Angel Oak provided a highly-skilled, unique, and curated experience to the City of Toccoa, and their effort and work shows. Stepping into the dressing rooms of the Ritz Theatre is like stepping back into the Roaring Twenties.

I would heartily recommend their work for any home, commercial, or governmental project. The fine folks at Angel Oak Home know exactly what they are talking about. And they go the extra mile to make certain you are happy when they provide that incredible finished product.

Being in the architecture business, I have been buying furniture with Terri for years. I was very excited to hear she was opening a brick and mortar location. Terri is extremely professional and knowledgeable, with a keen eye for making a home feel like home.

So, I have a husband that thinks we can do our own home design and decor. We lean towards the DIY side of things. So when I asked him (told him) we needed help with a huge home remodel project, he balked. We hired Terri to come in and give us some ideas on how to move forward with this project. In her instantly easy going way, she helped us think through some challenges that weren’t even on our radar. She saved us time and money and I might add, BIG HEADACHES because she could see the finished product and how to navigate through it. We could not. I am now using her for my third project. When I ask my husband whether we should do this or that, he says, “whatever Terri thinks,” Haha! We will always be DIYers at heart. But not without Terri’s help. She knows more than we do. And we would be foolish not to capitalize on her wisdom. I call it ONE STOP SHOPPING because Terri can get me everything I need and at great prices. This is a huge time saver instead of running all over trying to price compare in areas I didn’t even know existed!
