My daughter and I have a yearly girls trip to Carolina Beach and we try to make our short getaways as memorable as possible. To say our private excursion was memorable is an understatement. We had the most fun speeding along to a wonderful private beach area to collect the biggest shells. Our captain was so fun, took the time to share his knowledge of the area, and captured the most beautiful photos of us. A time we will never forget.

Highly recommend! I went out with 3 elderly family members and we had a great time. Thomas was very patient, incredibly knowledgeable about the area and history of the intercostals. If you’re looking for a great time, book with Salty Ventures. Also, you’ll be supporting a small business!

Our sunset cruise with Thomas and Lisa was such a special experience for our family trip! They made us feel very comfortable from the start, and we had a blast. Thomas was such a great tour guide and took us wherever we wanted to go. The island he took us to that has the swing is absolutely stunning!!!! I want to build a house on it!!

It is so much fun to be out on the boat, explore the area, and see the beauty of Carolina Beach and the Cape Fear River up close. We went on a truly incredible sunset cruise that made my birthday even more special! A few days later, we started our weekend with a morning adventure to Shark Tooth Island, which my family is still raving about! So, if you are looking for a fun, stress-free, and exhilarating way to spend a day on the water, Salty Ventures is the answer! 10 out of 10! Highly Recommend!

Taking a tour with Captain Thomas is a must do if you are visiting the Carolina Beach area. He was very knowledgeable of the waterways and the many different vessels making their way up the river. He took our family of 6 to Shark Tooth island where we found plenty of teeth and fossils. He then took us to a very nice swimming area where the kids enjoyed the calm water. At this spot we found an assortment of very large shells to take home along with the memories. Our family will book again with Salty Ventures in the future and would give 10 stars if we could!

My husband and I booked a sunset cruise for just the two of us. We were very pleased that we did. Thomas and Lisa are great. They are very friendly, kind, personable, prompt, and accommodating. They had beverages and snacks readily available. They took pictures of us and shared them so we could remember our cruise adventure. Not to mention, Lisa taylored the
music she played to suit our taste. Both are very knowledgeable about the area and shared lots of details and local history with us during our cruise.
Could not have wished for a better experience. The cruise was more than worth the cost and time. We were pleasantly surprised and impressed.
We plan to cruise with Thomas and Lisa of Salty Ventures many more times to come.

I can’t say enough good things about our sunset adventure. What a wonderful evening and as an added bonus we got to see 3 dolphins playing in the water. Thomas was a great Captain, very knowledgeable about the history in the area and made us feel like family. Highly recommended!!!

Salty Ventures and Mr Thomas gave us the best experience! Our family loves spending time together making memories, and this will be one of the best. Three generations spending the day on the water, enjoying each others company just can’t be beat. Mr Thomas took the time to teach my 15 year old son how to do some of the necessary tasks that are meant to keep the vessel and passengers safe. It was a great confidence boost. We can’t wait to go again!

Booked a sunset cruise and it was great -the owners Tom and Lisa were so knowledgeable about the area and what we were seeing -was really fun and they let us bring our dog which was really kind.Even though we did not get to see sunset due to some dark storm clouds we did see some amazing cloud shapes and amazing colors Definitely book them when in the area. Highly recommended

We had the MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE with this boat charter. The captain and first mate were so knowledgeable about everything, incredibly kind and courteous, and made yesterday THE BEST day on the beach. We were unfortunately taken advantage of by another boat company but these guys actually CAME TO US (we stayed in Wrightsville beach and they’re based out of Carolina beach). We cannot express how wonderful this was, truly! We bounced around several islands, they left us a radio to make sure while on the beach and them on the boat that when we needed them they’d quickly be there. The entire boat ride from the dock to the beaches the first mate constantly asked us if we needed anything and my fiancé thoroughly enjoyed talking to the captain about boat stuff and future fishing spots (not my thing but my fiancé LOVED IT). There was music playing, the kids LOVED the front of the boat, and when they were cooked like lobsters from two days prior refusing sunscreen (teenagers, you can’t tell them anything, they think they know it all) they pulled out an awning to keep them out of the sun but still capable of enjoying the ride! We HIGHLY recommend this charter company. We will use them again and again for years to come. I truly hope you guys that are smart enough to actually read reviews take this to heart. I promise you won’t regret using this charter! Two of the most kind and courteous people to spend four hours with.

I booked the 2 hour booze cruise for a friend’s birthday and I’m so so happy that I did. Our captain was professional, safe, and he even found us an awesome spot to jump in and play as the sun was setting. The first mate was fun, played whatever music we wanted and let us shotgun beers on their boat. It was better than I’d expected and well worth the price. If you are wanting a little boat trip with a fun, relaxed, non judgmental crew, Salty Ventures is who to call.

We took a 3 hour adventure yesterday. Our family (3 adults, a 2 year old, and a 3 year old) had a great time. Captain Thomas was great with the kids and tailored the perfect escape for us. He was very flexible and changed the original plan when he saw the kids' reactions to the trip and offered a even better option than we had first planned. I will definitely use Salty Ventures the next time we are in the area.
