Family Steakhouse

Had a good meal here while visiting family in the area. This is a clean, friendly, family friendly place. The buffet was good with a good selection at a fair price. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are very friendly. I would definitely recommend it for a good meal for you or your whole family.

This cute little restaurant caught our eye on Google. We are so glad we stopped in. The food was good, tasted home made, the service was great and you can't beat the price for what you get on your plate.

I can only speak for their breakfast, I have never had dinner there. Breakfast is excellent, the sausage patties are the best! Buffet for kids is cheap, service is great. They do get busy on the weekends but no complaints for me. It will be my go-to place for breakfast when I'm in Potosi!

The weekend breakfast buffet is delicious. All you staples are there and cooked well.

I absolutely love potosi family steak house biscuits and gravy, the biscuits are always perfect and the gravy is super delicious. If I had to give a 1 out of 10 rating. I'd give it a 10, family steak house biscuits and gravy are better then McDonald's and hardees, thank you family steak house for your delicious breakfast!!,
5 stars for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

My husband and I ate here the last week of April for lunch. The waitress was friendly.....with all the customers that she seemed to know. Took her awhile to get to us even there were only a few customers. I ordered the taco salad with ground beef. There were no seasoning at all. The hamburger hadn't been salted, no taco seasoning, the lettuce was in large pieces, and had a sprinkling of cheese and tomato. The hamburger was cold. Honestly, the taco shell was the best part of i-70. I ate about and the rest of it wasn't worth the effort.

Very good food! Salad bar is fresh. Baked fish is scrumptious!! Good chicken. Veggies properly prepared. Tapioca is so yummy. Dedicated helpful friendly staff!

Cute little place and the servers are super friendly, great cafe style breakfast you don't find anymore and the prices are very reasonable.

I give it 5 stars for the service given by our server "Emma" : quick with request, very polite and beautiful smile. I wish the restaurant had a bigger variety of choices on main entrée s.

Also, 5 stars to the other girl with long black hair on clean up during closing time.

Love this locally family owned restaurant. We live coming here. Great food at a great price. Can't go wrong. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

I'm not new to buffets. Recently having moved from Las Vegas, Nevada, I would say I'm pretty accustomed to the buffet life at this point. Visiting family in Potosi had us in the vicinity of Family Steakhouse, and our only regret is we didn't live here to visit more often.

My buffet was fantastic. The cod, talapia, sweet carrots and soup couldn't have been better. Though the chef made mass portions, each item felt like they were individually made for me.

The food was not sitting in a hot hold forever. It was all enjoyably hot, and recently made. I could not give this establishment more praise for the food i ate.

The environment is extremely welcoming, everyone within knows one another, and are treated like family. I am personally unaccustomed to this, as where I'm from people don't generally interact.

By the end of our trip, the whole family was extremely satisfied and knew the chef and waitress by name. Thank you Karen for the wonderful service, and amazing food. I wish you guys the best of luck with your business, whenever we are in Potosi we will revisit. You guys were amazing.

Ok, so the buffet options are a little on the limited side, but that being said, there was plenty to choose from. There were 3 main choices to choose from and about 5 different sides. The salad bar was very large and they had it well stocked. There were also about 5 choices for the dessert portion of the meal. They have a full menu if you don't want to utilize the buffet so all the complaining in these reviews are really for nothing. We ordered 5 buffets and one meal off of the full menu for the one oddball that didn't want the selections offered on the bar and everything tasted great and delivery of the menu items was relatively fast. The end total was about $75.00 for a family of 6, but, again, for the choices offered, this was a fair price. There was fried chicken, but who can go wrong with chicken? It's a safe bet and all buffets offer fried chicken. There was also fried catfish and baked fish. Go anywhere and order a catfish plate and it's going to cost just as much and not offer all you can eat. Potosi is a small town, and this diner offers as much as the town population can support. Any more offered at a time would be a complete waste of food. If you don't want a small town atmosphere, don't stop. By all means, hit a main stream place off the interstate somewhere. But if you want a fair priced meal with friendly home town staff, it's worth the price and time spent.

Very nice & clean Steakhouse. Enjoyed our breakfast very much. Their Buffet that starts at 11-8 for $12.99 is very good includes salad bar soup & hot food.

I had the patty melt. Hand pressed burger, perfectly grilled rye bread....yummy! My friend had the steak and he said it was great! Service was very friendly and observant to the customers.
