Tours Galore

Absolutely amazing experience. I'd been to Europe before but never on a tour. This tour of Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland was lovely. A phenomenal mix of the history and scenery. Sampling the local cuisines and visiting fantastic sites. Our driver Mike was so informative and I don't think it could have been better. Mary is Absolutely lovely. You don't have to worry about a thing and everyone is so friendly.

fantastic tour company to travel with.

Kennedy Space Center, historic "Then and Now" tour.
Our feelings about this tour were mixed.
But first of all the Good Things. The tour guide was excellent, the bus was comfortable and all the staff were friendly. Guides at the stops were former KSC employees and were knowledgeable.
But too much of the tour was a seemingly endless series of abandoned concrete bunkers. Yes they were historic. No they were not interesting. The tour guide gave excellent vignettes and insider stories of what went on there, but concrete is concrete.
The best of the stops were the early launch control bunker, and the indoor display of the huge rocket. Both memorable.
The end of the tour was two short movies which had a Disney boosterism flavour, and note that you are forced to pass through three gift shops before you are finished.
I enjoyed parts of it, but it was too long for what very good content there was, and the obvious commercialism was intrusive. However, space buffs may have a different viewpoint, and as a history lesson it was very good.
