Smaller store but generous selection of groceries. Deli little slow but good deli meats and cheeses. Nice baked goods. Clean store. Easy check out. Plenty of registers open. Easy parking. Nice store.

Updated December 2023 - Everything I needed. Easy shopping experience. Smaller store size but well stocked. There were 3 full service lines open. No wait to check out. Friendly and efficient cashier. Highly recommend

Wow! This place is awesome! My husband had been here a couple years back and suggested we take a ride for lunch.
The menu had changed from what he remembered but it was great. He had the 12 hour brisket and I had the Senior Corps Combo (12 hour brisket, smoke house sausage and ribs) sides were also really good, collards and bacon, cheddar cheese grits cake. Nice selection of craft and standard beers. No dessert for us.
Service was excellent and entire meal worth the money!
We see another visit in the future!

We were routed this way due to traffic in 64. Stopped for snacks, did not disappoint. Well staffed and stocked as expected. Clean supermarket. I noticed that.

Second time in the Providence Forge, Va. Good Lion. The store is remarkably clean. Shelves were stocked and clean of any dirt or dust. Got to the register to checkout and the clerk turned off her light. I started backing out to go to another register. She immediately told me to come back she would take care of me. She was very fast, efficient, and pleasant. I will most definitely be returning to this location in the future. So nice to shop where everyone is smiling and greeting customers as they shop. Good job!!!!!!!

Hands down, one of the best food lions. I love that they do not have self checkout and you still get that personal experience with the cashier as you checkout.

Smaller Food Lion than the Quinton stores, and most others. Staff is very friendly. Reduced selection compared to other stores. Doubtful this store will ever get upgraded due to the small town location. It's definitely not the nicest Food Lion around, but I'm grateful it's here and stayed open during the pandemic. I would say the store is definitely kept clean, the checkout lines are pretty easy to get through depending on the time of day. No self-service checkouts in the store.

I do a lot of shopping here. Anywhere from great deals to smiling customers and employees. Everyone here is awesome! They ensure they wash every cart after use and sanitize everything. Would recommend to the biggest germophobes i know

I pretty much live here. Just like everyone else in Providence Forge. The people who work here are not just coworkers. They are more like family. Everyone here is so nice and sweet.

My local supermarket, and where I find everything I need. The employees there are all very helpful. The stores very clean.
I buy alot of their fruits and vegetables. Their prices were always fair. Their shelves full.

We in the New Kent/ Charles City area have 3 Food Lions. Of the 3, this has always been my favorite. The store is very clean. The associates are great and they are always willing to go above and beyond to keep you happy. They are very willing to special order products for you. Just ask. If you need to return items, they are very willing to help. I cannot say enough about this grocery store. The prices are great. It is a smaller store. But they still offer a wide variety of selections.

I really like Food Lion they have great deals and buy one get one free are great with coupons you can't get better. They have clean restrooms and deli is good.

Small Food Lion. Very clean. Suited for the American palate selection. Very small ethnic, and foreign selections. Bakery will bend over backwards to help.

Not as big or new as other food lions. Lacks some things compared to the others , but staff is friendly and helpful. Store is clean, and normally stocked with what they do sell. Prices are average.

Deron was a great cashier! He and my daughter go to school together and they got to talk while he waited on us. He has a great personality!! Would absolutely recommend going there for him to wait on me again!
