Radford Health & Rehab Center

Went to the Thanksgiving Dinner tonight (11/16/23) and the food and fellowship were great and the pianist was awesome! We had a wonderfully blessed time! Thanks to everyone who put this together to make it so successful and special!

I didn't interact with any staff. I did the self check in. But, the rooms are spacious and clean. Mom's food looked good. Fresh salad, nice dessert. She was glad to have pizza. Said it was a good change from chicken. I've had family there before and have always been pleased.

Radford health and rehab was my home for quite a while, the staff there are very caring and punctual. They always treated me with respect and dignity. Social workers are great and very helpful. Meals were good and activities were good as well. All around very caring and compassionate facility!

All employees were very professional and caring toward our family. They went above and beyond their expected responsibilities.

Kayla was taking care of my mother. She is excellent. Very kind and attentive. My mom said that she and the other girl working with her were a fantastic team. They should probably get a raise to make sure that you keep such quality people.

My mothers hip broke at the beginning of March. I knew from the minute that I knew she was going rehab it would be at Radford Health and Rehab. I worked with the administrator and the DON for a number of years at another retirement community and know that they have the residents (patients) best out come in mind. Momma was very happy there and the therapy and care was absolutely amazing. I have worked in LTC for a number of years and was the LTC Ombudsman for the Roanoke region. I have seen a lot of facilities and this one is top notch. Momma enjoyed the food and the activities which really surprised me. The nursing care is amazing and never did I have to wait for them if momma needed something. The front office staff always took care of what needed to be taken care of wether it be a doctors appointment for momma needing transportation or just reminding/guiding me through the next steps of what would need to happen with momma. The Administrator walks the building several times a day to make sure things are going well. Speaking from experience he is the type of “boss” that you want to do well for him and the residents/patience’s. The DON was always on top of anything I needed and always wiling to answer questions if I had one. As one who has dealt with many Rehabs and Nursing homes as an employee and Ombudsman, I would rate this one as one of the best in the NRV and beyond.

My wife has been there for quite sometime and I have never been happier. She has been to 2 different places before coming to Radford and I have never seen her taken care of as much as she has right now. I can ever see her smile more often now. When I have question and concern, the Administrator, the director of nurses and social worker are always pleasant to talk to and they respond quickly. Healthcare is bad everywhere but these folks really work hard.

My mother was a resident at Radford Health and Rehab for the last couple of years.
I have nothing but positive comments for the staff there. I'm thankful that Mom was able to be in a center that took such good care of her. In her last week, Radford Rehab made it easier for us in many ways, but specificly by making provisions and arrangements so that we could come and visit as we wished . They were great. I highly recommend.

I love working Here at Radford Health and rehab. We have an awesome Team of Co-workers that show Amazing care for our residents and their Family Members. I have to say this is the first place I worked that treated you like family. no matter what is going on if you need help the team just jumps right in and help. we love our residents and their family and we do our Best to provide peace of mind to those we care for. Went to visit a relative who had been 911 out to hospital. Nurse staff got the right person to let me know where they had taken her. Very caring staff.

The leadership staff and team at Radford Health & Rehab Center are second to none. They are caring, person-centered, and focused on improving every day. The Administrator's caring attitude, energy and enthusiasm is making a positive difference for patients and staff.

I absolutely have enjoyed working here so far! All the staff is kind and very helpful along with all of the patients. The facility is well kept and making renovations to improve it every single day. Highly recommend!

Took very good care of my dad! I would recommend anyone that has a loved one that needs to be taking care of to go here! Thanks to everyone for helping my dad. Administrative and nursing dept. could not have ask to be treated any better!

I have been a patient at Radford Health and Rehabilitation Center 3x in the past couple of years of so and each time I have spent apx 2-3 weeks. I am a volunteer firefighter/rescue for 53 years and in that time I have suffered fractures, knee injuries and ruptured discs in my back. For years I suffered, kept trudging on, had 3 back surgeries, 3 knee surgeries, including a knee replacement, suffered fractures of both wrists, an arm and an ankle and an elbow. I was prescribed narcotic pain relievers, given injections into the knees, back, elbow and basically just lived in a lot of discomfort and pain for roughly 40 years. One year I traveled by air, ship and motor vehicles for thousands of miles on business trips, vacation and a cruise, all with my dear, sweet late wife, Pat, who passed away last March (30th, our 49th wedding Anniversary). Much of that travel was business related. We flew to some places, but drove some to others, with Pat doing probably 80% of the driving. She was a precious, dear, sweet person and as beautiful as she was kind. She did not complain even once about doing it. I Love and miss Pat so very much and long for the day when the Lord calls me to Heaven to be with her throughout Eternity!
I hope (against hope) that I will be able to remain home, at work and fairly active in whatever time I have left on this earth, but it is comforting to know that Radford Health and Rehabilitation services are available should I need them again!
All of the Health Care Providers there are so helpful, knowledgeable and skilled! IT IS GOOD TO KNOW THAT THEY ARE READY AND ABLE TO ASSIST IF NEEDED.

Management is engaged in listening not only to the residents but to the staff as well.
Management is very proactive in finding solutions for problems that the center meet and truly works on solutions.

Everyone at the center has been very kind and helpful since my dad arrived a few weeks ago. I am thankful for all of you!
