Hotel McCoy

Absolutely incredible hotel!! We’ve stayed here twice now and both times have been incredible experiences. The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating, especially Paul who served our breakfast this morning! He was so lovely and even helped us get our drink chips that we didn’t get during our super late check in. He also provided delightful and helpful conversation. The rooms are great and everything is decorated with fantastic art. It’s a super fun experience! Additionally, the pool at night is magical and they have lots of fun games like corn hole. I would 10/10 recommend this hotel. It’s my favorite that I’ve ever stayed at and for the price, it can’t be beat!

What an amazing place!!!! So much more than just a hotel room. Such an experience and I'll never forget our stay. From the fabulous Ryan at the check in desk and bar to the scrumptious oatmeal and pop tart breakfast bar, the lovely heated pool, the charmingly decorated rooms, the painted artwork on every surface to the comfy bed and quiet room, this place is magical. Wait, I forgot to mention the potted desert plants! So satisfying. Stay here!

I’ve stayed here a couple times before and after I go south of Tucson for a week. It’s my favorite place to stay in Tucson.
I always enjoy it and the rooms are comfortable and clean and the price very fair. You get a chip for one free drink and they have games and a pool and free oatmeal breakfast. Staff is friendly and helpful if you need it on anything. Location is good.

WOW! This place is great!! So artistically creative, the pool stays open late, the bar area stays open until midnight and the staff is so supportive! Riley was a one-man band... check-in staff, cabana boy with the towels, and bartender... last night! He did it in such stride! We thought he couldn't be beat until we met Paul in the morning for breakfast (BTW, best oatmeal + toppings ever!). Paul took time out of his busy morning at check out... he, too, was wearing multiple hats and handling it with grace an presence... to look for a T-shirt in my size that wasn't on the rack in the lobby. He could have blown me off, but he didn't! In the end, I got my tank top, which is now my new PJ top, which will remind me nightly of our awesome stay and where we'll stay again when we are back in Tucson! Thanks for such a memorable stay!!! We will definitely be back!!!

My wife booked me this hotel for my drive from California back to Texas and so I didn't know what to expect when I pulled in. The place was great -- nice looking, clean with good A/C and water pressure and the staff was very friendly. I left the next morning with a nice cup of coffee and a bowl of oatmeal and told my wife what a great job she did picking the place.

About 7 hours and 500 miles later I realized I had left a single box behind in my room... the one box I brought in from the truck just to be safe. Long story short the staff was very helpful and patient as I figured out how to get it shipped to my home. They taped it up for me, attached the label I emailed them, and handed it off to the UPS driver when he came by. I truly appreciate their kindness and let's just say I'm glad I left the box at hotel McCoy and not at the next hotel I stayed 😬.

Stayed here to go to a concert at AVA. Arrived Saturday and left Monday. A great stay here! Rooms were clean, spacious, unique and accommodating. The hotel manager, Q, was positive, energetic, hands on, listened, pleasant to engage with. His hotel staff were the same as Q was. Very vibrant, and with positive energy. There was always a daily activity happening at the Hotel McCoy, while there. Access in to and out of the Hotel McCoy was easy. The front desk personnel were GREAT to interact with. This will be our new place to stay at when we are coming in from out of town.

Local wanted weekend getaway and my husband surprised me with Hotel McCoy. Absolutely lovely! Paul was very knowledgeable and helpful both mornings we were there. I'm certain other staff at hotel are as warm and welcoming, but I did not interact directly with them. Really love the small details (straws). Highly recommend. Especially during monsoons!

We booked same day on a whim without much thought on amenities etc. What a wonderful hotel! It’s a destination all on its own. Beautifully decorated. when you arrive, you are greeted by the kindest, welcoming staff,complimentary drinks are provided and there is a bar. Pool is a heated salt water pool. I wish I had brought my bathing suit. We were only there for one night and didn’t experience all the amenities but this hotel makes me want to come back to Tucson. Thanks for a great stay.

This place is awesome. Rooms are super cute and the grounds are well kept. The pool was clean and laid friendly. Paul was super kind and even grabbed me a coffee after breakfast was cleaned up before I hit the road. This is our new go to spot for Tucson.

I love this place and the staff. However, I need to give 3 people special recognition. Paul, Cinea, and Charlie have gone above and beyond for me the few times I have stayed. I'm an above knee amputee and the ADA room has a very spacious bathroom. It was clean, bed was comfortable. The artwork on the outside walls is awesome. The pool very nice and relaxing. It's clean and again, they go above and beyond and I'll definitely be returning. If you read this they are hosting an amazing event on August 24th this year. I don't know all the details but a few rooms will be closed to host this event. Check it out. I give them an all-round 5 stars.

What a great little place! Stayed here with my 2 kids for two nights. Both nights after doing family obligations we were able to relax and enjoy the very warm and colorful pool, while listening to local live music. What a great way to unwind by floating in a warm saltwater pool, serenaded by colors and sound. I didn’t get to enjoy the bar because I had the kids with me, but definitely next time. The beds were very, very comfortable. This is an older motor inn style motel that has been happily revamped, so the rooms are smaller than an average modern day motel, but it was perfect for what we needed. We actually quite loved it!

I stay at the McCoy most times I’m in town. Friendly staff & tidy rooms. Gave four stars for service since cleaning staff entered my room while I was still there; about an hour before checkout.. but of all the times I’ve stayed, that’s really the only snafu. I even purchased some cool art from the room I was staying in!

Stopped here with the wife from a cross country road trip. Cute little rooms, interesting vibes, delicious food truck and excellent service overall enjoyed the stay. Enjoyed the two drinks on the house . Free breakfast although lacked variety was still delicious. Would definitely stop her again .

This hotel really exceed my expectations. Even after reading other reviews, I was a little skeptical when I just arrived, but room was very clean and big. They welcomed us with a glass of wine and all the staff was very kind. Paul was very helpful and we really appreciated his service. The free breakfast was amazing. An oatmeal bar with every topping you can imagine. I'm a happy client!

Friendly staff and really cool styling/design. Parking situation is great and the rooms carry on the nice design + are spacious. Good food and drink options as well. Amazing value for the price!

Really unique hotel with lots of art and music. Really good vibes Comfortable room. The window AC is loud. Free drinks at check in is a nice touch. Oatmeal, toasts and pop tarts for breakfast are sufficient.

Always a lovely stay at the Hotel McCoy! For us, it’s been a go to destination for a chill staycation!! Access to the pool, the bar, the comfy beds - it’s a great getaway! And Paul at the front desk was so helpful! I recommend all our out of town guests to stay here!

This place may still be a work in progress, but let me tell you something, it feels safe, warm, and clean. Every staff member was kind and respectful and the concept was gorgeous, art everywhere that you are allowed to buy right off the wall! From rustic to high class. Simple to intricate. My only regrets are not staying longer, not taking more pictures, and not reading the guide they have in the room the first day. To top off everything, they push kindness, kindness, kindness, even providing a room discount if you only promise to do one nice thing. This place gets a 5 from me. It's a beautiful concept with an amazing message and a mission that I will be comming back to support.

If you like funky and different, this is your spot. Outside it looks like a 70s flashback, but with more style. The rooms are adorable, each with its own art. Staff were always cheerful and helpful. Highly recommended.

If you’re going with your family, you need more than one room. Each of our rooms have1 full size bed.
We got 2 rooms because we have 2 adults and 2 children

No smoking at all on the promises so we had to walk completely out to have a cigarette
You can drink on the entire premises
So I’m not sure how family-friendly that could actually be your choice
They allow dogs
And all walks of life
Open to every person without looks or staring or anything weird
They allow all humans and that is to me , yes family friendly
