The Downtown Clifton

We stayed here for one night, and it was amazing! The room was clean, great for two, with some shade on the porch. The staff is incredibly friendly aswell, they recommended us what to do, and were very kind.

The bar is great, with a nice selection of beers. The night we stayed there was also a movie night, which made for a great evening atmosphere. If you’re staying in the rooms near the movie, it may be noisy though.

Sure coffee may not be there at 7:00, but who cares, the atmosphere makes up for it all.

Amazing stay, check it out if you’re around.

Can’t wait to return; floors clean enough to eat off, beds firm, good lighting. The frig in our room was in a closet so we weren’t bothered by the hum. Staff accommodating without being intrusive. Parking was tough on a Sat because of the lounge band and we ended up parking on the street which wasn’t ideal. Maybe reserve at spot when the room is assigned?

I’ve stayed at this wonderful hotel 3 times now and plan on many more. Very dog friendly, which is a plus for me. The decor is fun, bar and restaurant is lively with solid food and great drinks. Being able to walk to downtown without being in the heart of downtown is great too. I recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Tucson.

My daughter is maid of honor at a wedding that is being held there in it day. She was living in England and didn't know that she had to reserve a room since the bride to be said she had reserved the whole hotel. I called and spoke with amanda, at the front desk who was amazingly helpful courteous and friendly. Within 4 hours she found a room from my daughter and arranged it all so easily and professionally.High

Absolutely loved The Downtown Clifton! Great atmosphere! We had a king bed in the older part of the motel and I have no complaints! Super clean, windows open for fresh air, there are blinds and curtains, no one gonna be able to see you🤭 Dogs are allowed for a minimal fee. You get REAL keys for your room tooo! The funishings fit so well, modern furniture would be out of place. Don't forget to check out the records and stained glass in the lounge❤ Jim does amazing glass work! There's a beautiful, well planted courtyard with corn hole boards and a chiminea for fire! Everyone here has time to talk to you and make recommendations! AND!!!! THEY ARE 420 friendly on the whole property! Just don't smoke cigarettes inside and you good! Highly recommend! Thank ya'll for such a pleasant visit!

This is a great hotel. Not far from downtown. The hotel bar and food were great and the room was super clean and spacious. If you’re going to be in Tucson and want to stay somewhere cool with a cool vibe check this place out.

We loved this little hotel. Atmosphere was great. Friendly employees. Clean and comfortable rooms. Drinks and food at the bar were excellent. Will definitely be back.

We reserved The Downtown Clifton for our wedding guests this past weekend and we were seriously impressed! Our guests were so happy with how clean and accommodating the hotel was. Many commented on how amazing the rooms were and how awesome the courtyard was to come together and visit. They all loved how 'Tucson' the space felt.
The reservation process was easy and the staff was willing to work with me to host 2 separate events at The Red Light Lounge. Both events were absolutely amazing and we were super impressed with the bar staffs ability to keep up with our many guests. The prices for the events, open bar and food were very fair.
If you are looking for a uniquely Tucson space to host your guests I would highly recommend working with The Downtown Clifton. They will not disappoint!

What a wonderful little hotel. It’s been remodeled with a distinctive retro vibe. We can into town for a concert downtown and the location was perfect. The room was clean and very comfortable. The food and drinks in the lounge were very good. We were very happy with our stay here and will definitely come back next time we are in Tucson.

Boutique rooms, great cable package, air conditioning, clean rooms, bathroom equipped with everything you need for showers and incidentals! Customer service is terrific! Delicious coffee every morning unlimited until noon. Restaurant is attached offering courtyard seating with burgers, tacos,Delicious cocktails and a variety of Sonoran dishes. Strongly recommend as their customer service is excellent

i actually found this place through their restaurant and bar. Picked up some food and a few drinks -- reasonable prices, really nice indoor/outdoor seating, friendly service, and great quality. The next night, when my flight got cancelled, I immediately thought of this place to stay an extra night in Tucson.

Booking was seamless and check-in was a breeze. Rooms are so cool -- retro-feeling but not at the expense of comfort. Room was a tiny bit warm when we first checked in, but the AC unit cooled it down in a hurry.

Enjoyed many of the restaurants and bars in the area before coming back to the hotel (got a final nightcap at the bar). Free coffee the next morning was piping hot and helped get us going. A great location for our unexpected extra day in Tucson!

Great service and location! The room was cozy, clean, and had a cool retro feel. Amenities are great, with coffee in the mornings at the lounge. I appreciated the makeup remover wipes in the bathroom since I forgot mine at home. There is some noise from the train, but if that doesn’t bother you, it’s a wonderful stay.

My fiancé and I had SUCH a lovely stay at this amazing hotel! From the moment we walked in, we knew we picked the right place to rest for the night. The hotel and our room had such inviting and eclectic decor. The attention to detail was immaculate and the staff was top tier!! Don't even get me started on the DELICIOUS food and drinks!! We even got to meet the lovely owner of such an amazing establishment! Moniqua kindly treated all of the guests at the bar to champagne! We definitely will be staying here again the next time we're in Tucson 😃

We had a great 3-night stay at the Downtown Clifton. The rooms were clean with a comfortable king-size bed and stylish decor. Great walking distance to Congress St./4th Ave. area. The staff at reception were very helpful and we checked out a few of the recommended "key holders club" spots in the vicinity. Enjoyed a cocktail at the bar on our last night and would most definitely stay here again next time we're in Tuscon.

From the old style rustic feel, to the charming desert vibes you can only get in the US Southwest, The Downtown Clifton is sure to make your stay an interesting and awesome one. Clean rooms, great customer service, and also comes with a cute little bar/restaurant and lounge. Also they accommodate your furry friends as well! Located in downtown Tucson, there’s no getting bored with all the eclectic buildings and historic downtown to stroll through!

The hotel also has vinyl records and record players to use. Very interesting indeed. I will definitely be checking this place out if I’m in the area again!

Very cool place to stay in Tucson. The staff is quite personable. The courtyard is very relaxing.

Great location walkable to downtown. Rooms are large, bed is comfy, pets $20/stay.

Bar opened at 4pm & served up really great cocktails. Had vegan tacos, large portion of fillings with mouthwatering flavor. Definitely will stay again.

Stayed here for three nights and had a great time while I was here. The staff is beyond friendly and accommodating, the rooms are spotless and have a lot of space, the beds and pillows are super comfortable, and the location is great and feels safe.
The food and beverages at the Red Light Lounge (located in the hotel) are delicious and affordable and includes multiple vegan options. It's also really nice to just hang out at with a few friends. Definitely order the weekend nachos or vegan crunchwrap (that is not included on the menu), tasty af.
The Clifton has great decor and a quirky vintage feel to it. Record players are available to check out with a large variety of vinyl to take to your room. If you're looking for a place to stay while visiting Tucson or even a staycation, I highly recommend booking a room at the Clifton.
