Lazy Turtle RiverFront Grill & Tiki Bar

We didn't plan on visiting The Lazy Turtle this evening, but on a whim, this is where we ended up. We were greeted by the owner pretty quickly and sat out on the patio. We didn't order drinks from the bar, but the bartender (Clair or maybe Clara) came out from behind the bar and made sure we were seen about and taken care of... She was very sweet. Our server, Jennifer was absolutely awesome and we couldn't have asked for better. The owner came by after our food was out and made sure we were happy with everything too. The entire experience with all of the staff was very personable and made it really feel like a mom & pop place. We had smoked fish dip, grouper fish and chips (sweet potato style), and colossal fried shrimp and fries. Everywhere you go, everyone does their fish dip a little different and this one was pretty good. The shrimp and the grouper though... Wow... Seriously very very good. The cocktail sauce and tarter sauce is homemade. I don't usually even like tarter sauce but I loved this and even asked for a 2nd saucer of it 😉. The entire experience was 5☆s and we will absolutely be back again. Thank you Lazy Turtle for a beautiful end to our Monday.

This place was delicious! The staff is friendly and tentative. Our waitress Debra was personable and really made us feel welcome!

Absolutely delicious. Period. Food is fresh and clean and surprisingly flawless. We heard mixed reviews due to
Management change- but you can’t get better around here. Ask for Morgan - she’s great! Btw- mom is still in awe with the scallops wrapped in bacon:) Don’t miss this spot.

Lovely food, great place to sit outside and watch the water and the world go by.

The soft shell crab roll was huge! My husband loved it.

The hummus appetizer was so big four people could have comfortably shared it. The lobster bisque was very good, although the sourdough bowl was a little gluey.

All in all, a good place for a late lunch or early dinner.

Been her several times, the food, service and atmosphere is fantastic. I have had the coconut shrimp, tacos beef, shrimp and chicken, fish and chips and pork barbeque. The mixed drinks not very tasty and different each time. This will be a favorite family go to, but we will stick to beer and wine.

I have seen several negative reviews, but we have no complaints. We stopped in, impromptu today for appetizers and drinks. Omg!! The service from the moment we walked in to the moment we left was amazing. All of the food we ordered was perfectly cooked and fresh. We had a party of seven and were seated immediately. We had crispy calamari, fresh oysters, perfectly fried shrimp, ahi tuna with seaweed salad, chicken nachos, and fish dip. The beer was cold as well!! Will definitely go again.

Brooke was fantastic! She was attentive to our every need and understanding of any changes we needed to make to the food. She was very considerate to us and kept us informed about the status of our food when it was on the way. We were a big party but Brooke knew exactly who ordered what food and she made us feel right at home. Albert was also amazing! He made our sushi and it was FANTASTIC for a non-sushi focused restaurant. We really enjoyed how the salmon melted in our mouths, it was so good. The manager whose name is Francé really made sure that we felt at home in this place. What we thought would be a casual lunch has turned into a place we will return whenever we are in town. Definitely try this place out and ask for Brooke! You will not regret it.

We stopped in to this lovely restaurant on a whim while shopping for the holidays with family. It was an absolutely amazing experience, the atmosphere and staff, especially our waiter Scott, were so welcoming, fun, and left nothing to be desired. Scott (who was also the bartender!!) took fabulous care of our whole party, and provided a fantastic lunch! Every single thing we ordered was genuinely delicious, you can’t go wrong with anything!!

My husband and I are regulars here at Lazy Turtle and this time here didn't disappoint! We had exceptional service from Grace and the food was top notch as always. We especially love the ambiance with a perfect view of dolphins swimming in the river. We highly recommend the happy hour for food and drinks! 5 stars!

We were visiting from out of town celebrating our mom's birthday. Brooke was our server. She did an awesome job. The food was ample, delicious and great. The ambiance was perfect with a beautiful view. Highly recommend and will return!

Wife and I were staying in Melbourne Beach and saw the reviews on Lazy Turtle and decided to give it a try. Parking lot is pretty small being right off A1A so they have a complimentary valet system set up. Sat inside looking onto the river and it really is a great view. There's also outside dining areas with a bar and live music when we were there on a Saturday evening. Would've liked to have heard some Jimmy Buffet or other beach music but the guys were playing some classic rock which is good as well. Mariah waited on us with a great smile and lovely personality. We ordered the rack of lamb with potatoes and caesar salad and Mediterranean Bowl with a summer salad. We asked for the salads out first but they came at the same time as the meal so we made do. Lamb was tender and well cooked with some yummy whipped potatoes. Mediterranean bowl was a great Italian bisque with all kinds of seafood in it and 2 pieces of parmesan crusted bread. Delicious. True little treasure find for dining on the river while all the tourists are crowding up the beach restaurants. It is a bit of a hazard leaving the place as the valet guys park cars up on the hill next to A1A and you CANNOT see onto the road to see if traffics coming. You have to pull perilously close onto the street to see if it's safe to pull out. They might want to rethink that. Overall though, thumbs up and we'd go back. And prices were what you'd expect for beach living dining. Almost $100 for the 2 of us with a drink and meals.

Brooke was an amazing server. Food was delicious. Prices are fair. We ate inside; it was a bit cool for us for outdoor seating, but the outdoor seating is very nice.
We've been here several times. Have always had a pleasant experience.

I feel like this place is a secret gem that hasn’t been fully discovered yet. It was pretty busy for a Thursday night but still had excellent service. Was impressed to see the manager Barb taking food out to tables while still checking in on guests. Mahi is fresh and cooked perfectly. Definitely has the Florida vibe for locals and visitors. My favorite stop after a long week!

Appetizer(bacon wrapped scallops) was on the bland side and a bit over done. Other than that, both of our entrées were delicious. I got the snapper Hemingway, and my husband got the NY strip. Both were great. The view was fantastic! Our server was very friendly and attentive. Would happily go back.

Very nice dinner with a pretty waterfront view. Accommodating of dogs on the patio as well. Food was above what you might find at a casual spot with a water view (sometimes places rely on the view and stop trying). Creative menus with good options. Our server Audrey was very personable and efficient paced our dinner well, attentive but not rushing us. Drinks were well crafted and presented as well.
Would definitely return.

Visited for the first time last week. Grouper fish n chips and coconut shrimp were delicious. Paella was good, and enough food for at least two people. William made us feel welcome and was very attentive. The outdoor dining and bar area are nice and have a great view. We will go back!

Easily accessible from the main road A1-A. Parking is adequate including for handicap accessible vehicles. Valet parking is available.

The restaurant was clean and well staffed with friendly employees

They have three seating areas, inside, outside patio and a Tiki Bar area. All have a nice waterfront view.

They have a nice menu with something for everyone. Our order was prepared as asked and the portions were ample.
The Drinks were also done well.

They offer live music usually on weekends.

The prices were fair and service was fine. We will give be back

Stopped at the Lazy Turtle for lunch on the patio on the river. Prompt and friendly greeting and seated promptly. Our server was Dani Jo and she did a great job explaining the drinks and menu items we questioned.
Food was plated nicely, hot when it arrived, and flavorful.
Definitely a place I will return to when I return to the area.

The food was excellent, and the service was impeccable! Robert was our waiter and I ordered the bottomless mimosas with the eggs Benedict. My glass was never empty. His timing was always spot on. My husband ordered the Southern Biscuits and Gravy. The view overlooking the Indian River at the outdoor dining had just the right amount of overhead shading.
