The Tuxon Hotel, Tucson, a Member of Design Hotels

loved the place. clean, comfy beds, loved the bar/restaurant, beautiful classical guitar was being played on Sunday morning while eating our breakfast and having delicious lattes and espressos. It made the ombiance great! it was already good!! The pool and courtyard were great too. Nice job whoever did the remodeling and decorating at this old motel 6. I'd return any day!!

First time stay at the end of October -- I love staying at the converted motels, I think it's got a fun feel. Rooms were small, but comfy beds. Storage was a bit tough but doable. We were two people in a two double room, would be tough to fit 4 people in there, but for us it was fine. Pool was the highlight, 2ft to 6ft makes it very family friend, ample chairs and towels, and also some cabanas, though seems like you have to rent them out so we didn't touch it. Bar/restaurant are combined, within a few yards of the pool, so easy enough to order and come back out. Had breakfast one morning which was better then expected, though typical hotel prices. Price was great during the weekend we stayed. Location was pretty good to get to where-ever in Tucson. Will definitely look to stay again!

First time stay, it was a nice calm chill hotel. The vibe was good the front desk people are nice and helping. I lost my card key while out partying and they gave me another one no problem they were so understanding. Rooms were clean, comfy beds. Just an overall nice vibe id go back again.

Unique hotel with modern appointments and very clean. Good quality soaps and shampoos and towels. Bed very comfortable with fluffy pillows and comforter. Off I 10 so not really quiet but not distractingly bad. Ground are tidy and super close to miles of bike paths . My new go-to :-)

The room was comfortable and clean. It had all the modern amenities when staying away from home. Liked the bar and breakfast area too. Would stay here again!

Nice, seemingly newly redone hotel. The bed was comfortable and the rooms were well appointed. Soaps did not appear to be vegan (glycerin). However, there were a selection of non-dairy milks available with the coffee/tea, which seems almost unheard of at most hotels! The property was secured with a fence that was closed after hours. Right near I-10. The gym is 24 hours and has two incline trainers, a stationary bike, and some dumbbells. The front desk is not 24 hours. The main downside was hearing noise from the room via adjoining door.

Modern feel to a past time motel. Friendly and helpful staff with a great bar selection. The scenery and view of A mountain were perfect. There's only one way in, and one way out; which is good for security (completely fenced and gated).

Stayed here for 1 night. I live in Arizona but in the Phoenix area but a comedian I was seeing was in Tucson. This location was perfect! It is 9 minutes away from The Rialto (where I saw the comedian). Easy on and off access to the freeway. I was a bit skeptical I’ll admit because the surrounding area is a little rough BUT being someone that has stayed at a lot of AirBnB’s and hotels over the past couple of years, this one was very impressive for the price! The others that had unfortunate experiences I’m sorry to hear but someone that may be reading this now deciding if they want to stay… it is worth it for the price! My room was perfect for me and my fiancé. The king bed was perfect and comfortable and I loved the stand in shower! Shampoo, condition and body wash were provided which was great because I forgot mine. It had a little fridge in the room with 2 complimentary waters which was also perfect since I was tired and thirsty by the time I came back from our night out. The TV is a nice Samsung TV that has Netflix for you to sign into and stream! I brought my own Roku but didn’t even need to use it. Loved having Wi-Fi and there was plenty of space for us for a 1 night stay to place our bags. There is a couple of small drawers under the TV and plenty of space under the bed for storage which was nice since most hotels have under the bed covered.

The room had a small desk area which allowed me to use my iPad for film school and had an awesome Bluetooth speaker that I’m actually considering buying for myself!

Aside from the room. I had no issues checking in. It was my fault though when I got a little cranky when I was told I had to put down a $100 deposit but it was because I hadn’t read that in the notes when booking so make sure you’re aware of that! The lady at the desk was very nice though despite my attitude (I’m sorry if you read this!)

The pool area is super cool and the lobby is very nice! They have a bar area and can order breakfast (you have to pay for it) that had some great looking selections! There was also a fridge that had some snacks and drinks that you could buy which was nice because I didn’t want to drive to the store, I just wanted something quick and this was very convenient.

Overall, I had a VERY pleasant experience here at the Tuxon and would definitely stay here again in the future!

Super cute budget friendly hotel that's been renovated with care. Surrounding neighborhood isn't the best, but it's gated and locked at night. Love the touch of the specialty popcorn in the rooms!

3rd time here. Very much enjoy the layout and service. Can be a little noisy from freeway noise at night. Will request a room on the west side of hotel next time. Great to sit around the pool. Looking forward to next visit.

Don’t be fooled by the drive up to the hotel the neighborhood is older and the surrounding hotels are not in very good shape but once you arrive, the hotel is very well-maintained. The rooms are very clean and the staff are very helpful. Everybody I met was a little bit on the younger side, but all of them wanted nothing more than to make your stay enjoyable And were eager to help out when I asked the pool was amazing and I heard no freeway traffic which is nice. I was worried because we were so close to the freeway all in all I would definitely stay here again and enjoyed my weeklong stay .

Shockingly nice, totally unexpected to have such a nice experience, amazing value for money. Staff is really great. Rooms are really nice.

This was by far our favorite hotel we’ve ever stayed in, so we ended up staying an additional night! We felt extremely safe as the hotel is gated in. During the day we lounged by the beautiful, clean pool with a great cocktail from the bar. The food was delicious and the bartender and employees were friendly and pleasant to be around. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the complimentary coffee in the lounge was an added plus! The hotel is located right off the highway, you may hear some noise but you can easily drown it out with the A/C. We can’t wait to come back again! Thank you for a great stay!

I stay here every year for a work related conference I attend. This is a nice affordable hotel. It isn't in the best part of Tucson, but it is gated and maintained to keep it nice. This is an older drive up style motel that has been nicely renovated and is modern and rustic southwest themed at the same time. The rooms are smaller but nice, and they have a nice pool area along with a restaurant and bar onsite.

Very clean and beautifully decorated hotel. We only stayed one night but everything was great. There is some road noise at night and area around the hotel doesn’t look the safest but there is a safety gate that closes around the hotel at night. We would stay here again.

The tuxon
This is my favorite hotel that I’ve stayed in a very long time. People were so respectful, no parties, no slamming doors. It was wonderful. The rooms were cute. The shower was good, the bed was great. Honestly we cannot wait to go back and stay at this place again. It wasn’t in the best part of town, although it was gated, and we felt very secure. They offer food, and they have a full lounge to have cocktails.

Levi and Ann you are the best along with the DJ.

Truly an awesome hotel. We spent the Saturday at the pool and met amazing guests of all kinds- families, people our age, older folks, and everyone was awesome. The poolside bar/ restaurant is staffed with friendly folks who make good food and drinks. D Wayne, the poolside DJ was awesome.

The rooms are clean and cute, sure a bit small but there are places to hang clothes and whatnot. Don’t blame the hotel for the size of the rooms, because the reviews give your forewarning.

Our hotel room door was a bit hard to open, the key would register but the handle wouldn’t unlatch. Just mentioning it so management is aware. Otherwise, we had an amazing staycation here and will make sure our friends stay here in the future.

This place is soooo cute!! I loved it here. They even had little chocolates on the beds. The murals are amazing !/

Stayed here solo for one night. What a great experience. Rooms are updated, modern, clean and had everything I needed.

Service was very good in all aspects. Front desk, bar, morning breakfast, pool, cleaning staff.

Super cute boutique style hotel. I don't like the chains and finding little gems like this is why.

If you have reason to be in Tucson I highly recommend The Tuxon.
