My dental needs are extreme, as I have not had the resources to get in to the dentist for a number of years and I suffer from health problems that can have direct links to the complicated decay and bone loss with teeth. I was so afraid I was going to lose the teeth because of the specific decay that had occured. The student dentist with a team of surgeons and specialists who together performed a surgery that saved multiple teeth. I am so very happy with the professionalism, the genuine care and concerns. I have been so fortunate to have the best care available and who work so hard to save my teeth. Had I not had this University of the Pacific program I know I would have lost my teeth and ended up with partials. I don't want that. It's difficult sometimes to maintain simple self care, yet having The University of the Pacific and it's professional students and instructors to support my other health concerns related to the dental problems. Thank you University of the Pacific. Thank you very much.

Got my permanent crown seated today! Color was a perfect match just like the veneers I had done a few years ago at UC Buchanan School of Dentistry before they shut down. I am very happy with the contacts and fit.

I have 4 more old fillings to replace. All of this was done absolutely free. I will miss San Francisco. I still need an Onlay done but for apx $1K I will wait til we move and have Dental to finish that.

I told my student dentist today. If she moves to Washington and starts a Dental practice there after she graduates here that I will switch dental providers and join her office. She thought that was so sweet.

She is a leap year baby! I will be sure to bring her a gift on VDay when we meet again to do my fillings. Her 🎂 is only every 4 years! I can't imagine, wow. Does that make her 25% you her than everyone else then?

This place is the best! Stephen Gong-Guy is our favorite dentist in training! He will make a great dentist, we are just sad that he will be graduating this Spring. He is brilliant and funny; a unique combination. We love that guy! 😀

The best, and nicest people work here! State of the art dental facility, highly attentive staff, experienced veterans on every floor, highly recommended, the wait may take a little longer than other Medicare services, but it's worth it. My visits here are a real pleasure, and NO ONE says that about dentists!

I was in the faculty practice, but I switched to the student practice, and if you're committed to having all of the work done, and are willing to spend at least double the time in the chair, and can afford it, UOP is the place to be. So many fantastic faculty practice doctors supervise every move and add great insight as well.
I got lucky to get assigned to Awa, who's super talented and humorous as well. Another kid, Tyler also helped me and is probably the most well adjusted person on the planet. I'd vote for him for President but he's no where close to the mandatory 35 years old.
Anyway the Arthur A. Dugoni school of dentistry is a great place to go.

I got through emergency line today. After filling papers it took an hour to be seen by a student -doctor. She was quite nice, gentle, attentive. She would check her evaluations with supervisor and answered all my questions; I had many of them. The only thing that is upsetting is that there is a long waiting list and I’m afraid my pain will kill me before I see a doctor. They offered to call me if someone’ cancels

I have been coming to receive dental work at University of the Pacific dental for five years now. I have received the best of care. Yes, the appointments take longer because the dental students are learning. However, you have double the examination since their work is being checked by expert dentist professors. I have received cleanings, root canals, implants, and a false tooth here. Highly recommend.

My grandson was served so well there. He had too many teeth and they were so crowded we needed help. Over the months of dentistry work done they came out perfect. I sent a woman whose life needed turning around. She had no teeth and so her chances for work were slim. They did such a beautiful job her life was truly changed!. It's all in the smile where our first judgements come from others. Thanks is all we can give you for the great work these aspiring dentists do! What a great program all around. Therese Spears

I commute 200 miles to get to you 0P in San Francisco for my dental treatment. I believe the best treatment is possible here because you are dealing with dentists that have been in the business and are retired or partially retired and you are dealing with a new student at the same time They have meetings about your does your help with your teeth and what is best for you you are in charge the entire time and they supervise and tell you what is possible. I am in my 70s and it is worth the trip for me to come over 100 miles

The work may take awhile to get completed. However the cost of the work is far more reasonable. They also have state of the art facilities and specialty clinics which address multiple dental problems.

Wonderful! I'm extremely happy I went here and had my teeth taken care of: Deep cleaning, root canal, cavity and crown. The student I had was about to graduate and I got fantastic care from her. They tell you what needs to be done, the plan, and follow-up. The instructor checked things periodically to make sure everything was going well. Clean, modern, very good facilities. In HIV+ and was able to get help with the benefits counselor for financial assistance. Contact that person first to see if there's any benefits or financial aid for you becomes of income or whatever. My teeth work is all done and it was painless, quick and my teeth are fantastic.

AMAZING experience at this Dental University ! I had received dental services for the span of a year and a half and I cannot say enough great things about my experience. The student / dentist I was referred to was a natural. He did numerous feelings as well as gave me so much information on dental care and hygiene that I never knew before and was so professional and respectful and kind and just simply put, helpful! The building is amazing as I probably will never see another dentist office like it. It's very easy to get to through Bart or Muni. Surprisingly they even had great service by phone. I had moved across the country and was sad that I wouldn't be able to have my dental services through the university anymore. I had Medi-Cal when I was seen at the University and they didn't treat me any different had I had high-end private insurance which was also very impressive. There is senior staff dentist/teachers that are on the floor and can assist at a snap of a finger and they were amazing as well. You can really tell the teachers want their students to succeed in the students that are there are serious and want to learn and succeed as well. Andre was the name of the student I have and I will never forget him he made a very positive lasting impression as a dentist. He was in his last year at the University and said that his mother and father practiced dentistry in Sacramento and that he was going to follow the same route. I'm sure he's doing amazing and I wish nothing but the best for him in his dental career. There is so much more I could say in a positive note about this University and in all honesty this is probably one of the only reviews that I can't find something negative to say, though I was a little saddened that I had to be rescheduled for a teeth whitening session as I was traveling in guest spotting for my career in different states and only had a week back in San Francisco at the time to be able to do the teeth whitening appointment so I was never able to get the whitening session done at the University but it was understandable as he said he had finals amongst other things. So in short, if you're on defense if you should go to the university for your dental services because of whatever reason just pull the trigger and do it. I had received better dental services through this University then I ever did in any professional dental office and it's a shame that I have to settle for basic dental offices as I do now. This University should be a model of how professional outstanding dental offices should be throughout the states. Thank you University of the Pacific Dentistry for the outstanding excellent dental care I received throughout my year and a half of visits. And I want to give one more shout out to Andre, your an amazing dentist and I hope success follows you throughout your professional career as it did at the University, you deserve it bro!

I am very satisfied with the way I am treated as a patient at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, San Francisco The staff is very professional. The Intern assigned to me, Parth, is very respectful, courteous, and always well prepared. He listens to my concerns, and is very careful in his staff supervised treatment of me as a patient. For anyone who is looking for excellent dental care, professional treatment, and affordability, I absolutely recommend Dugoni School of Dentistry, that is so easy to get to from the Powell Street BART.

I have been a patient of the UOP - Dental School since September 2018. I can't say enough about my experience and the level of care that I've received. From the first point of contact at the front desk to the intake and consultation and all treatment all I've witnessed is professional, courteous, caring and compassionate care. In the beginning they are very transparent regarding the fact that it is a school and that the process of appointments and even procedures WILL BE longer than normal. So don't expect to be able to call up and get in the chair the next day or week. However what you can expect is a state of the art, clean facility and that you are in the best care possible.

My experience at UOP has been a surprisingly good one. I just completed a series of about a dozen visits for one big procedure. My student dentist was not only friendly and personable but he was a very good student & did a professional job. I was given his cellphone number on the first visit and was able to contact my student dentist for any reason. People had told me that the work might be agonizingly slow because of the academic environment but that was not the case. I was able to schedule appointments flexibly. Over all it was a great experience!
