We had a great time at the Grey fox inn! The room was clean and spacious. Beds were firm but comfy. The pool, sauna and hot tub were great after a long day of being outside. About 10 minutes from Stowe ski resort and super close to a bunch of restaurants. Highly recommend!

Great value and location in this well kept, updated inn. While there's no breakfast, rooms have mini fridge and microwave, plus coffee and tea. Indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and outdoor pool round out the comfortable amenities.

Great place to stay in Stowe. Very close to food shops and the mountain. Can walk to some things and take the shuttle to the mountain easily. Very clean rooms and nice staff. Would definitely recommend

Amazing hotel!
Rooms were great!
Didn't like the bed pillows but that's why I brought my own.
But this is worth the, for what you are getting...

What a wonderful centrally located place to stay when in Stowe! Can walk to downtown and many restaurants nearby. All the staff were Helpful and went out of their way to be sure we had a perfect experience! I recommend you stay in the separate building where we stayed in a lovely room with kitchen stocked with all needed to cook and serve meals. Our room also had a beautiful fireplace, large smart TV, deck and view to the greens and forest behind the buildings. You could walk over to the recreation path that takes you to town and all along the Little River! There is a “Stowe Quiet Path” you can pick up from the paved rec path. All so very lovely! I walked miles while hubby went fly-fishing. After all these good workouts, I enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor pools at the Grey Fox as well as the sauna and whirlpool spa!!! And a cozy fire every am and pm! Loved, loved, loved our stay at the Grey Fox Inn!!

We stayed here for the first time over the 4th of July weekend. We had a room in the back building. It was quiet, we never heard a sound from any other room. Our room had a small kitchen, with a big fridge/freezer combo, burners, a sink, dishes, even a sponge and dish soap. We had a balcony overlooking the back. Although, I wish it was screened to keep the bugs off of you, so you could keep the patio door open, it was still great to sit on. We had a fireplace and the room was gorgeous. The only thing I will say negatively is, the floors could be better cleaned. Those of us that were barefoot, had black bottom feet and those of us in socks, had black bottom socks. Around the bottom of the toilet was extremely dusty as well as on the floor under the bathroom shelving. There is one washer and one dryer in the main building. As well as a Foosball Table. There is a nice size gym over the indoor pool. Both pools were very well kept. There is a huge kid size chess game in the back corner of the outdoor pool area, that was tons of fun. There is an outdoor seating area along the indoor pool, with an entire wall of sliding doors, felt like we were outside while swimming inside. It was very nice. We didn't have any parking issues. There is a tall balcony you can get up to using the stairs, to overlook everything. In the back is a huge field of well- maintained grass that kids were playing in .. soccer, throwing balls, etc. I definitely recommend this place.

Awesome place! We stayed in the 2 queen with the kitchenette. Was very clean and comfortable. Loved the bigger bathtub and the kitchenette!

The kitchenette room was nice (except no dishwasher), clean with daily maid service, comfortable beds, sheets, towels and premium toiletries. The shower was awesome even for my 6'9" husband with a duel shower head. The front desk staff was very friendly and accomodating. The restaurant's menu was a bit eclectic and limited but the food was very good, the waitress was excellent and the place had AC. Overall very pleased with the hotel. However Stowe itself was a big dissappointment this year. It happened to be a heat wave and most of the restaurants didn't have AC. Practically every place was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and the places that were open lacked wait staff and/or chefs and AC (and these were the top rated places). I realize this is a ski town but even so ! One couple that we spoke with that had been going to Stowe for 45 years said they won't be back.

Best place to stay on Mountain Road. Walkable to great restaurants, cafes, and the free mountain shuttle. Loved our in-room (propane) fireplace and panoramic windows. Inn connects to the recreation path; we walked it to Stowe Village. Beautiful snow weather!

The updated room was lovely - very stylish and plenty of room to accommodate hanging out after skiing. There was a great little nook with a comfy chair that solved the perennial problem my husband and I have when we stay in hotels - he's a night owl and I can't stay awake past 11pm.

Great location right in the middle of everything. We had to cut our trip short, and the staff was very kind. Can't wait to come back!

I was nervous booking this place. I thought maybe it was more of a motel, but it turned out to be very nice. Our room was in the main building, it was in the lower level (almost seems like the basement) but even though it seemed odd heading there, it turned out to be great. Actually a really impressively large, nicely updated (within past 5 years, I'd guess), very cozy room. Very large living room, 2 tvs, large bedroom. Fireplace is electric, but nice to have. Location is great, right near downtown, there's a couple of bars and places to eat within walking distance.

Recently stayed at the GFI. Originally it was not our first choice as we had already booked another place in the area. After originally checking in to the original location and not having a good feeling about the place and things were not as advertised, we went to the GFI. We were met by a very friendly lady at the front desk who greeted us and talked to us. We told her about our previous experience and she allowed us to stay at her place and upgraded us. The place was very clean and spacious. We had no issues. She recommended us places to eat and to take in walks in the area. It was a great experience after being disappointed a few minutes prior.

We stayed in the main building - room 3. Room was ample size, quiet and very nice. Beds were extremely comfortable. I found the inn's location to be convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

First off I think it’s important to point out that I’m a professional travel reviewer. I came to the Grey Fox b/c I had three nights from my Chase preferred card. Nevertheless I would easily pay out-of-pocket to stay at this location. Very friendly staff very clean. My family and I are here to ski Stowe for the next few days as we are all professional skiers. Signing off now to go into town because the number of us are professional sightseers and professional shoppers. I am especially looking forward to wings beer and a hamburger because I’m professional and all three of those disciplines as well.

Great little hotel for the money. All the rooms have been updated this year. We stayed in one with 2 queen beds, a fireplace a little private deck with mountain view and a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom for only $200 during prime high season. I've stayed in places 3 times the price in Stowe and this room was nicer. Can't beat the renovated rooms for the price of this place, and it's attached to the yummy famous Dutch Pancake House.

Had a wonderful suite. Newly remodeled and done well. We will definitely be staying here again. The staff was wonderful and the grounds are well maintained. Very close to great food. Breakfast at the Dutch Pancake House (within the inn) was terrific. Great staff there as well.

We didn't stay at the hotel but did eat at their in house restaurant, Wildflowers and it was amazing!!! One of owners was hosting and tending bar and he was friendly and very welcoming. The food was great too. They do a fusion of carribbean and Korean flavors on traditional food and it is a great pairing. I had the empanadas, side salad with champagne vinegrette and the coconut cake. The empanadas are one of the appetizers and was spiced and cooked perfectly, the vinegrette was balanced and delicious and the coconut cake was moist, flavorful, not overly sweet with a whipped cream based frosting that was beautifully made. My husband had the Fried Chicken sandwich with fries and the apple, maple flan for dessert. The Korean sauce on the chicken was spiced just right and the sandwich and fries were really good but the star of the show was the flan. Creamy, with amazing flavors and well balanced. If you are going to Stowe, please go here for a meal. They are a new restaurant with owners who work hard to produce good food and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
