Packrat is a national chain and if I was rating just them it wouldn't be 5 stars but the local packrat is awesome. They take care of you no questions asked and really make it a breeze from renting, drop offs, and even pickups. I would recommend getting the LOCAL number if you are storing or using their containers though. Corporate help is just ridiculously awful and make it very frustrating to do just about anything from renting a container to picking one up. If you are able to have the local number you are all set. They won't have any insane prompts or answers where you know they are reading from a script or just don't care. They seem to know everyone who keeps a container with them and are very specifically helpful with any questions or needs. In the end I would highly recommend the local pack rat.

These guys were quick. Nothing was damaged and the price was better than the competition.

Great company, fair pricing. Arrived to our destination unscathed! Highly recommended....be sure to call or schedule a week on advance, as they are very busy this time of year.

All I’ve got to say is that you can’t go wrong with Packrat. They’re definitely one of the best in the business from what I’ve seen.

Do Not us if you move to a city location!!!! The constantly refuse to deliver your containers and they make you rent a truck to unload your belongs from their facility. They also don’t give you anything back to help you pay for the truck your forced to rent

Unfortunately, When I terminated the POD usage on my account ($375 per month) they advised 3 weeks to recover the unit - Then attempted to Bill me nearly $900 just to recover the empty , I called asking to speak to someone ... Operations advised maybe billing can speak to the cost , Billing Rep advised He can not allow me to speak to a supervisor and they have no control over the Cost , Seems that 3 weeks sitting in my lot empty for them to recover . and then assuming they can charge $4.50 per mile dedicated cost when market standard is under $2.00 per mile .. The delivery driver advised he was dropping the empty in a place 30 min away so he needed to make sure it was clean .... Sad , Bad business , I hope Better business Bureau of NY helps these guys fix their mindset ..

If I could give them a ZERO, I would. 1 star is being generous. After making a reservation for 2, not 1 container, 2 containers to be delivered at my residence on 2 different dates and calling several times the day of scheduled delivery and being assured that the container would come by 11:00pm and that the driver would call 1 hour prior to drop off AND scheduling movers RECOMMENDED by PACK RAT, we got a NO CALL / NO SHOW! Their website said they are open until 10:00pm and we called at 9:45pm to confirm and guess what.....NO ANSWER. A message was left for them to call us ASAP in the morning.....guess what....NO CALL. We finally called them and were eventually told they were having driver problems and were short on containers and our order was cancelled....NO CALL / NOTIFICATION!!!!! And we are stuck paying for the movers even though PACK RAT screwed us over. This is an unprofessional, inconsiderate company. Take your business anywhere else, but RUN, don't walk away from 1 800 PACK RAT.

After spending close to 5K for two storage containers for a long distance move I felt nickle and dimed for monthly blanket rental fees. It was never explained that after I paid the initial blanket rental fee of $3 a piece that they bill you monthly at the same fee. I spent $600 for 90 blankets for 45 days. Even my credit card company agreed it was exorbitant.
On top of that the initial delivery was screwed up and one of the two units was beat up with a roll top door that was partially compromised. I would not recommend using Pack Rat.

Issues with my card, apparently they emailed me, never called, not once, and they were going to just come to my house and take my pod for auction. Customer service said "it sounds like a you problem" with so many other companies out there, do yourself a favor, avoid packrat
