We stayed in the king cottage. We enjoyed the space very much. Over the years we have stayed in the motel, but decided to splurge for the cottage. The drive is straight up a hill..and there is always evidence of cement projects occuring (probably when not busy). But the view is wonderful. It's a quiet place with a bar across the road.

Beautiful hotel! Friendly people at the front desk, and a view on the balcony that you cannot beat! Only complaint is that there is minimal overhead lightning in the room; but if the sun is shining the natural light more than makes up for this.

We did a little weekend trip in the winter and everything was amazing! The cottage was great, provided everything! The full kitchen was a surprise with many things stocked for use. The cottage was so so warm despite the single digit temps at Seneca lake. Check in and out was easy. The view from the deck was our favorite! We hope to come back again and make this “our spot”!

So peaceful & quiet on my monday-thursday stay. Guest services very sweet & accommodating. Clean king room with lake view reasonably priced. Get room 15 the view is not obstructed by trees & you have a direct view of the tiki bar!

Clean, quiet rooms with a very nice view across the lake. Friendly service. Nearby village offers different restaurants for dinner.

There is a motel in front and cabins in the back. We stayed at the cabins on new-year 2023 and it was very clean and spacious. 2 bedroom a full bath and kitchen. There were TVs mounted in all rooms. There are Glassware silverware pots and pans As well as other kitchen wears available. The views were incredible and pricing was very reasonable for the Area. Like others noted, If your driving a car, take it slow up the hill or you will bottom out. It's very walkable to the lake but to get to stores, Harbor, restaurants or Walkins Glen park are short drives. NOTE TO MANAGER OR OWNER. Put cabins # on back side of cabins and not on the doors. Not only did we have to go door to door in the middle of the night but others did the same thing and was trying to get in the cabin at 2 in the morning. It wasn't there falt, they double booked. I'm sure this isnt the first time this has happen. Regardless we had a wonderful stay!

I stayed at the Anchor Inn October 11-13
The first thing I noticed was how clean the room smelled. The bathroom was clean and stocked with plenty of white towels.
The staff was friendly and very helpful.
Pet friendly.
The view of Senaca Lake was beautiful and you were able to see one of the wineries across the lake from the balcony.
The town was not too far away.
Lots of places to eat .
Whatkins Glen north ridge trail was about 2 miles away..
The Anchor Inn is a great place to stay.

Found the Anchor Inn and Marina by accident. Decided to stop for a quick bite to eat and a few drinks. The food and drinks were great. Location is right on the water and is very relaxed and laid back. While we were eating we decided to rent a boat for the next day. Great prices. The staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Super easy boat rental. We pulled up and hopped on a pontoon and were off for a fun day on the water!

The hotel is located on a hill on the left of Salt Point Road and down below on the other side is the tiki bar and marina! So your view from the hotel or cottages is absolutely beautiful! A deck with chairs to take in the lake. Not to mention, you can rent boats and jet skis! Staff was awesome and down to earth. It was a perfect stay! (Other than flipping the jetski while my phone was in my fanny pack) 😆

Love the area, my wife and I actually stayed up here for our wedding weekend. This was a great little cottage, appears to be somewhat new. Well kept and clean. The view from the balcony was awesome and overlooked the lake. Tons of stars visible at night. The driveway up the hill was a bit steep but overall a great place to stay. I would recommend.

Rented the 19’ sport boat. It was ready when we arrived at 12pm. Boat was in excellent condition, the 2 guys working there helped us get our family into the boat and explained how to operate it. The drivers seat was very wet (do not know why), but this was the only minor issue. We had great fun on the lake for 4 hours. We were very happy with our experience.

We stayed in the motel. Super affordable rooms, and a great view of the lake from the balcony.
The rooms were a little worn but super clean, and the bedding and mattresses were comfortable. They use actual keys which is a little old school but fine. Seems like there is good sound insulation between the rooms; I only heard another room once and it wasn't disturbing. There is a refrigerator and microwave in the room.
The deck/ balcony is just one big open space with the other rooms in the motel; this wasn't a problem for us and I only saw one other couple using the deck when we were there, but something to be aware of. Seems like more of a place where quiet adults stay lol. The deck is covered which is nice in case of inclement weather. The friend I was traveling with has different sleep habits than me, and it was nice to use the balcony as a kind of second room where we could read or watch stuff on our tablets w/o disturbing the person sleeping.
The driveway, as others mention, is steep, narrow, and rocky. It seems that they have it graded so that it's possible to navigate it without scraping; I have a small SUV and had no problem, and saw one of the employees in a very low car navigate it successfully, but also saw people in cars scrape. I wouldn't go there with a car, personally, just bc I'm not a very good driver and would probably destroy my car.
It's on a road with a salt plant and there are semis driving the road day and night but the noise didn't bother me, and I love my peace and quiet. You could see them but if you just look at the lake you don't really notice them.
The lobby workers and housekeepers are super friendly, and have nice suggestions about local restaurants. The lobby seems to be attached to the owners' house so people are coming and going who don't necessarily work there, which is kind of awkward- I asked one lady in the lobby about towels and she told me to ring the bell to get someone and that was no problem, then when we were checking out I rang the bell and the person in the lobby was like "I'm right here, why did you ring the bell?" No big deal, just awkward. There is a cute dog that often hangs out in the lobby, seems to accept petting but doesn't seem to bother people in case you're afraid of dogs. The breakfast is pretty useless- they call is a "light start" and it's coffee, old fruit, and little prepackaged super-sweet breakfast pastries. So don't count on it to be your breakfast, but the coffee wasn't bad and it's nice to get a cup as you're heading out for the day.
It's a very easy drive to the town of Watkins Glen and there are a decent number of restaurants and breweries within a 15 minute drive, and it's a good home base for exploring the rest of the Finger Lakes if you want- though if I came back I would probably stick around the southern half of Seneca Lake, plenty to do there!
If this place were more expensive I would not have rated it as highly, but as a clean and comfortable spot with a nice view of the lake it can't be beat.

I have rented a boat from the Anchor Inn twice and have been very pleased both times. The staff is very helpful and the boats were ready to go when I arrived. I would recommend using them for your Seneca lake rentals!

Nice casual stay hotel right across the street from Seneca Lake with great views from your room. Nice large covered porch with chairs to sit, relax, and enjoy the view. Very nice staff. Clean room. Very close to the town of Watkins Glen and the state park. (like a 3 minute drive.) Very reasonably priced accomodations. Would absolutely stay there again.

We had a great getaway at the The Anchor Inn. Stayed in one of the cottages and it was perfect for our needs. Kitchen had everything you need to make some simple meals. View from the deck was amazing. Staff was friendly and attentive. Tiki bar was a great place to chill at night. We rented a pontoon boat and it was a blast. We used the boat for 4 hours and gas was only $22. Only drawbacks about the Anchor Inn are the driveways up/down to the cottages (steep, bumpy, and a little scary at times) and the water pressure in the cottage. Location is fantastic. Just a short trip into town, right on the water, and the views are amazing.

Room with a beautiful view of Seneca Lake was excellent! The room was so clean... the housekeeper Christina did an excellent job! I am extremely fussy with cleanliness when traveling. So, I was so happy to see how clean the room, bathroom and bedding was upon arrival. The staff is very nice and friendly. Even though they allow dogs with a deposit fee that’s returnable after they inspect room...It’s very quiet here. I definitely recommend staying here. And please tip your housekeepers. Most people forget to do that.
