had a really good experience here! transferred from a 4-year college and was definitely nervous at first, but QCC set me up very well to continue my education. nice atmosphere and campus, although be prepared to walk uphill! met some really interesting people here— including my lovely bf! If you’re considering restarting your education, getting another degree, or are coming in as a freshman i would highly recommend qcc— the experience is what you make of it!

An excellent community college. Most professor I have encountered, are very helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable. The campus itself is nice, spacious and well kept. There’s paid parking on campus and plenty of free street parking in the surrounding blocks around. They also have a good food/drink selection at the cafeteria.

An amazing college for students just starting out. You're definitely getting your money's worth coming to this school with professors that truly care and try to help you as much as possible (granted you checked their reputation with Rate My Professor).

QCC is hosting The New York Wind Ensemble's concert and the acoustics are good with a wide stage area. Auditorium is clean and has a balcony.

Studied and had the opportunity to also work there for over 10 years in the Library-Reserve Area, then the IRS Instructional Resources Center computer area. Loved it. The Campus is beautiful. The staff and professors were great. To this day I still miss those days. 🙏🤗🤗🙏

Went here for two complete semesters. The professors are great, and the resources are even better.

It's financially viable and they have a lot of programs to help students whether it be financially, mentally or educationally.

The campus is kept clean and there's a lot of different transpiration options. You can take the Q30 to hillside and have access to a dozen different buses and the train line including F and E. You can also take the Q27 towards flushing and have access to a lot of different areas.

In general, there's little bad to say about this college.

Joining Queensborough Community College was an amazing experience. Most of my classes were less than 40 students meaning that the teachers actually got a chance to know who you are. The teachers are absolutely dedicated to empowering you to become a professional. I graduated in Liberal Arts with a focus in psychology and the psychology professors were great. The campus is kept clean, the bathrooms were also in pretty good condition. Food was not the best, wouldn't necessarily recommend getting lunch there. Regardless, I am incredibly grateful to have gone and participate in the classes of the teachers who demonstrated their passion for their jobs.

My son had difficult fall 2021 semester. After contacting the college was answered by intelligent warm caring people from the bursars office to registrar office. Took the time to guide him through the trouble and now the spring semester looks promising ! Ty Josie Palmer Michele Mcloughlin Mary O’Gara and Joy ( sorry about not knowing your last name ) . With the difficult times we have been facing it’s nice to know that there are people who took the time to help and show my son support to receive and continue his education

This college is not that bad tbh, you dont have to listen to other people that keep on saying CC is bad. When I first attended in QCC, I thought the same thing as people think that CC is for bad people. and then later, I realized the students and professors are all friendly, they have tutors to help you to make sure you understand. And frankly, we definitely have some bad professors in the college that you should be careful. not just QCC or other CCs, I definitely thought other 4 years college or private colleges/ universities also have bad professors

I graduated from QCC in1991. I have received a strong education that prepared me for higher learning. After graduation, I was transferred to St John' s University where I did very well. The basic preparation from great professors and mentors at QCC helped me to finally get my MD credentials. Today, as an assistant professor of medicine, I am grateful to QCC.

I just started my freshman year, here at QCC. The teachers and students in my classes, are nice and nonjudgmental. Unlike most people, I stay to myself to avoid conflicts with others and etc. It's great, if you just do what you have to do.

QCC is one of the best community colleges in NY. Most of the professors are excellent teachers who will help you to succeed. Academically, it is almost as competitive as any four years college and I would unequivocally recommend anyone to QCC. However, nothing comes easy and if you are not prepared to work and study hard, then it is not for you.

Renovations going on in the campus. Q27 bus stop located inside the campus grounds makes it convenient for both students and locals alike to get around without having to walk down to Cardozo High School to catch at bus in the morning rush towards Jamaica or Main Street, Flushing. Same heading back home in the evening.

Went there after high school. It’s a very nice community college but parking was always an issue even if u pay to park inside. Overall teachers were great.

QCC grad and proud! It's what you do in this school that matters. If you're a top student all the resources will come to you! Guess what? I've successfully transferred to an Ivy league university. Many people who want success will find it. It will be significantly easier to succeed here than a 4-year school, so make it count! QCC is not the end, don't feel depressed that you're here. Learn from your mistakes and push yourself beyond your limits! Good luck!

-The only cons here are the food and the hyper-'ghettoness'.
