Great hobby shop with passionate staff always willing to help. Good HO and N variety both car wise and train wise. Can't say too much about the kits and scenery stuff they have because I'm not that into the hobby just yet, but they have a good variety of DIY and pre built scenery kits too. Definitely recommend if you're looking to get into the hobby or if you've been in it for years and are just passing through!

I'd like to thank all the guys on staff at Engine House Services for the excellent work on both my model HO scale Locomotives. Painting, decoder installation, all top notch. Out standing service and friendly guys! They know their business.

A shop with a large family of loyal customers. Stocked with a good variety of HO in diesel, while having a nice representation of N gauge. And it was fun to see the new bench work in progress.

The Engine House was an outstanding experience with it.s vast array of... all things model trains. With many questions to ask as a beginner ..revisiting, revitalizing my 1990s N scale set...as the goal.
At every turn, there was someone readily available, ..be it Paul, Dave, Don, Russ, or ?!..., to advise, demonstrate, discuss and explore alternatives, all in a curtious and professional manner.
The store was neatly packed full to the ceiling with different size ("scale") of DC and DCC engines, cars, layout supplies (figurines, trees, foliage, buildings) and and seemingly endless supply of what the model railroader might need...or have on the "wish list". :)

A great place, friendly and knowledgeable people. EHS has a lot of stock, and many hard-to-find items from small manufacturers.

I try to get there every time I'm in Green Bay. They have a helpful staff and a great selection in N-scale (also HO and others). I also take advantage of their online ordering. The orders usually ship the same day.

This is a classic brick and morter shop that all model railroaders love to shop at, and unfortunately are slowly closing. This is an HO and N scale only shop and they have everything from paint, tools, detail parts, locomotives and rolling stock. There is a lot of hard to find publications and detail parts, all with reasonable prices, and they do ship. Even though I live in Alaska, I'll be calling and ordering stuff. If you're in the area please stop in and check it out.

We were looking for a wooden train for my 3 year old. While this particular item is not sold here, the associate went so far as to call a toy shop in town for us. Excellent client service!

They cater an HO scale model railroader primarily which is what I run. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly which plays a big role my book especially since my two boys are with me when I come here, they always talk if the "Up North" train store fondly and always want to stop by!!

Sometimes it's difficult to make it within the hours of business, we live three hours south, but the owner has stated he would stay late if we call ahead!!

It's all about service and helping you get the most enjoyment out of your model railroad as possible. Even if you don't have room for a layout but love the hobby, you will not find a more knowledgable place to shop than Engine House Services. They treat all of their customers with respect, and will take the time necessary to make sure you have all of your questions answered. Great free clinics covering many aspects of the hobby.

I have been coming here - a 100+ mile drive - for several years. It is the best model train place I have found, and I have visited many. The staff knows the place, the inventory is excellent, and the repair shop simply amazing. I highly recommend the place for anyone who is into model railroading - any scale!

Enginehouse Services is by far one of the best train stores you will find in Wisconsin, if not THE best. The staff there are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Not only are they a store selling trains, but they also offer weekly clinics and classes to help you improve your skills and get the most out of the hobby. I find the store to be well-stocked and it is always interesting to come in and poke around to see what is new.

Looked online as several websites for DCC HO Engines. Way to many to look at it course and most were drawings not an actual picture of the item. Couldn't figure out what I needed or would get exactly. Engine House too the rescue. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Helped me pick out exactly what I was looking for. There are times when the web just doesn't work. This is one of those times that seeing, and for what is worth touching, what your looking for is exactly what was needed. I won't be shopping any where else from now on!!!

Ordered Micro Engineering Turnouts on Thursday evening, they were in my mailbox Saturday afternoon. Fantastic service and competitive pricing. My only wish is the website showed stock status without having to add items to the shopping cart.

I would say for the more advanced train hobbyist, but they go out of their way to welcome the beginner also putting together very good quality sets like Walthers etc at reasonable prices. Also (sometimes) some used/discounted stuff in back left. Lots of catalogs, books and Mags for the beginner. Older catalogs like Lionel they will probably give you if you ask when they have many or are older (great way to get started).

Knowledge and Service is 5 star Pro level.

Visit the National RailRoad Museum in Green Bay (Ashwaubenon) if possible also and maybe see Thomas the Tank (hard to get ticket for Thomas and they go fast).
